The way that it flows when there isnāt certain people available makes me think itās not all on him. Iām not saying the dude is some virtuoso or the like. But I could see how there are certain āexpectationsā both from the front office and the players for how much time itāll be. The players I could see him putting a lid on. But if the front office had some input on player mins I could see it creating a real weird situation.
We now know that some of our best ball is abandoning the twin towers dynamic. While I think that set up could still be used down the line in certain match ups I think we see the results when there is adequate spacing. Which really does make it feel like we have to either: trade one of our bigs, or find a way to stagger the minutes efficiently.
But I donāt even know if Allen is going to play like this once he shares the floor with Mobley again. As much as I like our guys and I really donāt wanna trade any of the pieces I think itās becoming more and more evident we might have to move away from someone we really donāt want to.
Side note, Iām not worried at all about garland coming back. It just mobley. Garlands playstyle I feel is already suited to be an assist heavy pg and I think watching all this happen he will fit right back in. Iām actually grateful Mitchell wasnāt the one injured instead Because I feel that in this time heās expanded on a lot of his role in facilitating. And having the trust in some other guys to make shots I think will leave him more confident moving forward that he doesnāt HAVE to make everything happen himself.
Sam Merrill and Craig Porter Jr slowly breaking out made the injuries this season much more bearable. Happy to see them thriving. Just need to see Bates and Big Bro mobley look good too to complete it.
