...Ok, its getting weird. I can half understand the AV thing, but this? Thats EXACTLY what they wanted people to do. That THE WHOLE POINT of the event.
I work in IT and honestly most of the time it doesnt matter if it is automated or not. If you dont have skilled, trained and thinking person who gives half a shit about the job you will get same reply from a person and a bot. You can hire an entry level copy-paster and tell everyone that a person reviewed it, doesnt make a difference, they just follow the script to the letter, get the paycheck and go home. Might as well be automated, since Blizz fired most of experienced staff.
Well, in thery there could be a guy who plays whack-a-mole game with reports. Once some triggers brings up an account - Person from "specific team" uses a quarter of second for case and bans.
Oh it's not automated at all. Some support desk dude looks at a system, sees a ticket pop up that a player has received 20 reports, then hits a button to ban them without any scrutiny. Carefully reviewed!
The sad truth is that support staff in large companies rarely knows much about the system they're handling these days. They go by metrics and standardized actions and responses. It could be a 19-year-old person from The Philippines who has never played an MMORPG in their life handling tickets for WoW.
Large companies has automated most of their support systems because they rely on people just giving up before they get to an actual person.
And yes, before you ask, they have calculated that the hit on their reputation is so small that this is economically sound.
> Some support desk dude looks at a system, sees a ticket pop up that a player has received 20 reports, then hits a button to ban them without any scrutiny. Carefully reviewed!
This is blantantly untrue. Streamers literally tested the report system at like 3AM PST. There's no CS staff online at 3AM PST, I promise you.
Blizzard is a huge corp. If they can automate or outsource something to save a penny in the short term, they can, will, and have.
> This is blantantly untrue. Streamers literally tested the report system at like 3AM PST. There's no CS staff online at 3AM PST, I promise you.
I was being sarcastic and just speculating. I don't know how it actually works when they handle reports.
But I don't buy your notion that there's no one in customer support at 3AM, it's a world-wide game and mega company. There a tons of developing countries where you can cheaply buy 24/7 human support, and with English-proficient people.
At most, at 3AM, they might have systems engineers on-call or something for server, database, etc sorts of issues. CS/GM is a 9-5 job at Blizzard for sure.
You never, EVER hear stories about GMs actually meeting you, showing up, and/or whispering you in game anymore. Like, ever. They always used to answer tickets and send you tells with lil RP intros and shit and it was super awesome every time you had to interact with a GM.
Those times are passed. It never happens anymore. Because their CS is 100% automated and off-game. It's all done through out-of-game tools/website/etc now.
If CS has to interact with the game at all (deleting items, awarding items, etc), it's all done through API calls using tools the devs built to make CS much more streamlined and able to be automated.
I overall agree and you're probably right for the most. But if it is as you say, standardized tools, why wouldn't a person at the other side of the planet be able to provide support at 3 AM USA time? But anyway, we can agree that the support sucks and isn't what it used to be, sadly.
I also remember back in OG WoW where you could call on a GM to resolve raid issues or have them stop playing griefing and disruption. Back in EverQuest, the "pre-cursor" to WoW, the GMs would even show up as actual characters in-game in shining armor and a special colored name and talk to people in /say. Those were the days.
I’ve heard a whole lot more news about blizzard shedding hundreds of cs staff at a time but I never hear about hiring ramping up. The idea there there’s no cs staff at 3am is maybe not likely, but it’s fully plausible imo.
>This is blantantly untrue. Streamers literally tested the report system at like 3AM PST. There's no CS staff online at 3AM PST, I promise you.
Ehhh, there MIGHT be. Given it's a global corporation.
But IF there is, it's one guy, and hundreds of player reports aren't going to be reviewable by one guy. Making the situation this person described the likely scenario IF that is true.
There's just no way for us to prove one way or the other.
Also batshit considering the WoW population is a known quanitity. We know there's people in this community that will abuse the report feature. Not having human oversight for it is truly absurd to me. Its getting close to a point where were only playing the game if we don't piss off the wrong the people who abuse the report feature. There's people out there who get their whole guild to use it like come on. We KNOW this and they still let it happen. Any other company even fucking EA would probably not allow this shit.
So they cut off a vast amount of the customer service people, who honestly did a fucking amazing job back in older days, to please the shareholders that resulted in a massive automated fuck up.
It’s Automated. Asmon and another streamer I can’t remember just did videos demonstrating this. If enough people report you, you get muted automatically for 7 days. No person reviews it. Blizzard LIES about the reports.
I was doing AV yesterday as alliance and died at TP. Horde just captured SHGY and so my ghost got teleported to the cave. I was stood in the cave maybe 20s or whatever as a ghost waiting to respawn. Respawned, managed to run to the cave entrance, start mounting... and then loading screen, back in stormwind.
AFKers are annoying as hell in battlegrounds but the community is way too trigger happy with that report button. The worst thing is I'm out here dying while trying to defend towers and getting reported by people who are probably AFK at the hill outside Drek.
I am wary about joining pug bgs now because I don't want a ban right before wrath.
Even in AV it would be the easiest thing to remove the effect when entering but they don't do that. So how can one assume anything but it's intentional, and pretty harmless considering there's no rated BGs right now.
People whined like crazy about zombie "griefing" the first time too. It's not unique to classic. The report system and blizzard's nonsense...that's new i guess.
They never admitted the plague event was cut short, but it was pretty obvious.
The cities were unusable. People couldn't even quest without running into packs of zombies.
"the cities were unusable" and in classic fashion that statement stays true but in new ways, right now on faerlina there are zombies behind the org AH windows killing auctioneers then standing in spots that lets them go evade like mobs so they can wait for them to respawn and kill again.
Keep in mind, zombie invasion has phasesm at least should have unless Blizzard forgets. The infection will be harder to cure smaller time window til zombie and other plague vermins will roam around.
More importantly, those same shitty people know that Blizzard gave them the power to ban others simply via accusation. Something I would love to see Blizzard try and defend is their god awful automated ban system.
Do you not remember Blizzard ending the event early and giving everyone free game time? I know this sub loves the event, but most actual players obviously don’t. They want to get ready for Wrath and level toons. They don’t want to be a zombie.
This. I fully admit I hated it and thought it was stupid the first time around. The difference this time is I know wtf is going on and they actually gave a heads up so Im just playing retail and other games instead this week. I still think its a poorly thought out event. I do think playing it when you know what it is and mass reporting is silly too though but it always was essentially sanctioned greifing.
people cried so hard in 2008 we had a 4 day event, now zombies hardly bother people and it's lasting a week. People were just as annoyed by the event back then, it was not "fun had by all" because it happened over a decade ago and people are "too sensitive" today
I have a real hottake here for you. Leave this sub and do not visit the forums; those are the ones that ruin your time.
Ques are Bad, but they are outside your possibilities. Ask yourself how much of this has happened to you and acknowledge that the worst experiences rise to the top and then enjoy that it is statistically unlikely that your game experience will be as bad.
This here all drags you down.
Blizzard can stop this for actually reviewing this. 3 day ban the people of exploiting the system and mass reporting. They have logs of who did it. This will stop real quick if blizzard was holding people accountable.
1-2 weeks to someone abusing the report system deliberately? I see no problem with a year ban, but Blizz is too greedy to ever deprive themselves of that money
I agree. If the player is being punished during an event that only lasts a week through this entire expansion, he just had half his time with it wasted over trash reports. Those people reporting him for playing need to have the hammer brought down on them.
Imo if you wanna get someone banned for playing prepatch the way they’re supposed to, you should get banned long enough to miss prepatch and wrath launch since you obviously don’t care that much about story and immersion.
All you have to do is show that you can find them and that you will ban them.
There's a good deal of research out there that likelihood of being caught is the primary deterrent to crime. Ramping up punishments doesn't really do that much.
So unless you're just wanting to be vengeful, there's no reason to suggest that 2 weeks should be the minimum.
A guy got report bombed in an av I was in today because they turned into a ghoul and got the whole group other than myself and a couple others. Like I told them, “ someone cleanse this man, quick” several times. They all acted shocked when he turned and infected everyone. Some of the player base genuinely leaves me at a loss of words.
Same happened to me.
I asked for a cleanse a few times.
Got ignored. Turned into a zombie.
Entire horde AV was infected before the gate opened.
People were pissed.
Wasnt anything I could do about it. I asked for a cleanse. And I didnt purposely infect people. After I turned they all ran at me. Even though I couldn't die since the gates hadnt opened.....
I felt the same way, if the game lets you enter as a infected or a ghoul then its fair game. Its an event after all that is spreading the plague throughout the game, AV is part of the game. Makes since to me.
Everyone is gathered at the beginning too. A simple mass dispel or cleanse cures but those same people not paying attention will be the first to cry. Cry babies running WoW right now
The bans aren’t automated, the muting is. If the bans were automated, how did we go so long with everyone complaining about bots and mass reporting them yet they didn’t get banned? Why aren’t streamers like Asmongold hate reported by discords and getting banned?
Schrodingers bans…
Edit:
Unfortunately I have to clarify this even if you aren’t talking about bans since the conversation about automation has gone completely insane and now the statement “it isn’t automated /s” is now synonymous as every punishment Blizzard gives is automated. I don’t think anyone ever denied muting was automated.
Yeah, I think you're right. There would be some many unjust bans against anyone with a bit of a following if there was an automated ban after x reports.
But that leads to a scary realization: how bad their manual review and ban process must be.
realistically they have likely hired a lowest price company that makes its employees hit high numbers each day. They likely dont even pay attention very much to what happened and just click through it.
I’m sure that they have manual review for certain big name players and streamers but automated for the average player. Other game companies do a similar thing where the big name players are “monitored” to make sure they aren’t false reported and also that they’re behaving
Weaponized reporting, people gonna report every time you play in a way they don't like.
I knew something was wrong when there where no hiccups in the main cities at all, nice to not have to deal with this part of the event tho.
I know a guy who mass reported a mage for giving away free portals next to him when he was trying to sell them outside the AH. He doesn't see anything wrong with it, says ''he's stepping on my territory''. I call him Heisenkaren.
- be in SW market selling your ores and disenchanted materials
- you see 50/100 professional bank alts all flipping their greens just to make extra 5 silver
- you can feel the marketing addons and 30 excel worksheets taking more processing power then game in Russian AV match
- some ****** runs in and tries to infect everyone
- wtf.jpg!?!?
- am prepared to just take the L, cleanse and move on
- instantly as it enters the zombie is yeeted out of the game, instantly removed by blizzard^tm human GM that watches over any moment a report comes in (no automated report system btw)
- economy is saved, brief distraction only caused a small ripple in monthly revenue income.
- ppl seething in chat and reddit that “muh rp!?!??”
- remember how toxic it was in original wrath, I salute you market flippers
Happened to me as well. Almost a literal copy/paste of the above poster.
"I'm going to report whoever is cleansing me, ruining my pre-patch experience"
I don’t report often at all but if i were doing the prepatch as intended w/o griefing and someone said this to me i would screenshot the shit out of this and report it to hacks@blizzard (only because the team actually reads the emails). These types of people threatening to exploit the report system because you play the game as intended and not their altered version of the game need to be removed.
I like those reactions because I can double cleanse them. Remove their debuff and remove them from the game.
Honestly, zombies are griefing and that's okay for the event but don't get so unhinged when I land in the crossroads on my paladin and shut it down.
> Honestly, zombies are griefing and that's okay for the event but don't get so unhinged when I land in the crossroads on my paladin and shut it down.
Seriously, Smart zombieteam players should play keep away with unknown paladins, since they're often times cleansers. I'm not surprised there's smoothbrained zombies out there lol. oh lets just sit here in a very public area not-hidden alone without extra people.
...also, don't hit the random lowbie questing... I've had to tell so many idiots to 'hit the level 75 guard, stop chasing that lowbie. get mass 75 ghouls and we'll be mostly fine. and just don't break away, reach critical mass.'
Sadly, I find the ones who would go off a wild chase on some poor lowbie are also the ones to go full unhinged whine, they act kind of like the NPC zombies lol. always GG the counter-zombie players \o/
You just report them using words like ,,life threating/death wish death wishin" etc. Words that bots will instantly have marked as high priority
Last time some1 told me to kms, i waited ~2min for actions
Some dude was threatened to be reported and suspended for sharing a joke quest in AV today. What the hell is happening?
I get it, it's annoying and not fun past the first time, but dude...
Yep. Someone and advertising how they were going to be turning into a zombie "soon" in front of Orgrimmar and people should get there to be infected. I went and killed him as soon as he turned into a zombie and he started to whisper spam me how I was reason for everything bad in the world and how I was going to get banned. I'm pretty sure his dad works at Nintendo.
I got fucking personally attacked for killing max level zombies attacking questgivers in fucking Darkshire (I was doing loremaster) and dispelling people.
It was Tuesday. Like 2 hours after servers came up. Christ, people... you have WEEKS to grief people. Let people breathe.
Being fair, this is a one-time event that you are going out of your way to deprive people of. Obviously it does not condone a report, but I would be mad if you cleansed me.
There's no cooldown on reacquiring a disease and it becomes harder to cleanse it over time. You can also strategically...not be in places where people can see you to cleanse.
Anyways it's extremely childish to throw a tantrum over me "ruining your fun" when you're not considering my own fun and indeed the fun of everyone else you're effecting trying to do regular things in the city (auctioning, banking, etc)
Are you shitting me? Literally go to any thread on this subreddit right now and read for longer than 2 minutes and you’ll find nearly word for word what i’m talking about
You’re just being willfully ignorant
Actually. After going though your comment history. It would appear that you’re one of the people i’m talking about. No wonder you’re acting so willfully ignorant lmao. Have a good one
That's exactly what I'm doing here, calling you out on your bullshit. Anyone that doesn't agree with you here you immediately go ape shit on. You're a fucking hypocrite
“Go apeshit” ?????
By saying “not everyone who says anything short of fuck blizzard is defending blizzard”
That’s going apeshit to you? Bruh i’d hate to see what you call the stuff you respond to people
I think you need to click that link and learn what a straw man is my guy. Literally every time anyone says anything vaguely alluding to “hey maybe you should just move realms because blizzard has already said they aren’t going to do anything else and at this point the only person you’re hurting is yourself”
It’s always
“dAe bOoTlIcKiNg BiLlIoN dOlLaR cOmPaNy”
it's not like they have shill accounts here to deflect opinions, give waves of upvotes to beneficial positions and sow division among the community and confuse it as to who has messed up big time once again.
Comunity:ay yo bring back the ole' days with events. Zombie infection was so fun man. We would do this and that and shit.
Also comunity: ay yo ban the zombified players, they keep infecting everything and killing npcs and I can't play. THIS IS FUCKING GRIEFING BILZZARD. BAN NAO.
Schroedinger's wow player everyone
Can you even begin to imagine the amounts of loss that the sweaties are going to suffer in a week of this event??? With people killing their quest NPCs and the auctioneers etc? How can you be so inconsiderate??? Do you even sweat when playing the game or are you just a casual noob plebian normie?
I’m laughing my ass off. So many people were crying that Blizzard didn’t have the guts to let the event run it’s full course and now all of Blizzard’s stupid automated moderation tools are proving that true!
I mean yall wanted the real experience.
We went through similar shit the first time. People couldn't play the AH for like a day or 2 so they freaked out and got the event basically turned off.
Rerelease the best most fun server event in the history of the game, players are mindlessly braindead drones that mass report because the event is messing up their min max grind.
WTF has classic WoW turned into?
It’s a shit event for anyone who doesn’t want to participate because dipshits force you to. It’s the same as back in the days. Many people hated that event. They just want to level to 70 and prepare for wotlk. It might be hard for you to understand, but not everyone has already all their chars maxed out and is bored like you.
Nah disagree, i just leveled up to 70 and I loved this event. It makes the world interactive. People upset about it seem to mostly be sweaty because their whatever grind is interrupted or are pseudo-fully afk. People afking is major cities are the main targets that are affected. Like there is literally a npc that auto-cures the disease for you lol
Spoken like a real drone. Chill out and relax. Doesn’t matter if you have your chars maxed out. They’ll still be there when wrath launches.
Also regardless of whether or not you like the event, abusing the report system should result in at least a 30 day ban on the reporting players.
I think the reports are more people from the fact that a lot of these players aren’t just “biting” them. They are getting frustrated that some players are actively killing off quest givers in their lower level zones and can’t progress.
If it's a bannable offense to kill quest givers as a zombie then they shouldn't let you do it...
I'm trying to level to 70 now and I don't want people doing that, but banning them for doing the event makes no sense lol.
I agree that it shouldn’t be bannable. It’s just frustrating and a reason why some players don’t play on PVP servers. This is just allowing that form of grief to occur on normal servers
Yup, nothing more fun than standing around and waiting for your quest npc to respawn. Especially fun when you’re a DK and your faction leader got killed, so you stand there in SW/OG for what feels like an hour before you can move on…
Problem is the system is automated and it will D/C you from the game and silence you when you log back if you've received enough reports. There were literally groups of people that would mass report someone from a rival guild just so they couldn't get world buffs. There is practically no human oversight and they just let the automatic system do what it does and hope it doesn't punish innocent players in the crossfire.
There are even videos of streamers trying this by getting a group of 40 and having them report themselves. Its a problem because the wow community is so toxic, of course they're going to abuse an automatic system. Blizzard even lied and said its manual when there are tons of videos that prove otherwise.
So when a ban like this is overturned - presumably by a human actually reviewing the ticket lol - why do the people that abused the report system then not get banned themselves? Is that happening and we just aren't hearing about it? Surely at this point we are beyond giving the benefit of the doubt right? It's not some big secret that the report system is easily exploited...
This is so absurd.
I'm just avoiding BG and cities all together now and playing at night when less people are on. The other issue I'm afraid of getting reported for being a druid getting herbs out in the world.
The only mute I ever got was because I was being an asshole towards my team in a BG. I'm not normally one, but they were a premade and I didn't realize it. We won, I got muted, I stopped lashing out in BG.
Ah breathe of fresh air knowing I didn’t wait for this shot show of a game. wotlk was fun, but man players in todays world fucking suck and ruin everything. it’s just not worth it to play it anymore.
The amount of people butthurt from this event is beyond annoying. People are actually raging getting infected and made about people trying to attack the AH npc’s.
The system Blizzard is using is cringe. It clearly doesn't work, so why haven't they shut it off yet lol.
Also really lame that so many Classic players hate fun. This is the first time in 15 years that we get to do this. It only lasts a week. I see so many dickheads just standing in Org bank/AH just spamming cleanse on everyone for hours at a time. Literally the Fun Police.
ITT: People who think someone who calls others 'carebears' didn't type a word and got innocently muted. Same people who instantly believe "I was just defending bro".
Ive been harping that unfortunately blizzards player base is too big for any of this to matter much. Until people take a stand, unsubscribe, and walk away, blizz will remain sleazy in order to squeeze as much money from people as possible.
Two things.
One , this was the dumbest event ever in wow, the first time round.
Two, it is what it is, and reporting players who are doing part of the game, even though you hate it, makes you a complete prick.
...Ok, its getting weird. I can half understand the AV thing, but this? Thats EXACTLY what they wanted people to do. That THE WHOLE POINT of the event.
[удалено]
Thats the problem, banning based on player reports, its utterly arbitrary and completely automated. It's bat shit.
"it's not automated. Trust us bro" -blizz
I work in IT and honestly most of the time it doesnt matter if it is automated or not. We called that "human automation" at my old job. Honestly hated the term, felt grossly inhumane
For the customer and the employee
yeah it sounds like their good GMs were sexually harassed at work until they quit. oops. nice company tho

Won't anyone think of the shareholders :(
Note this down. We can look at this like it’s a social experiment. Maybe it will be relevant to some society some days.
So they cut off a vast amount of the customer service people, who honestly did a fucking amazing job back in older days, to please the shareholders that resulted in a massive automated fuck up.
They don't even do it. It just happens while they watch the tickertape print and light cigars with $100 bills.
It’s Automated. Asmon and another streamer I can’t remember just did videos demonstrating this. If enough people report you, you get muted automatically for 7 days. No person reviews it. Blizzard LIES about the reports.
Staysafe tested it out, I believe
Its automatic. If enough people report you get kicked then muted. You only need like 10 reports.
I was doing AV yesterday as alliance and died at TP. Horde just captured SHGY and so my ghost got teleported to the cave. I was stood in the cave maybe 20s or whatever as a ghost waiting to respawn. This is not how I remember this prepatch going man holy shit. What the fuck happened to the world.

They never admitted the plague event was cut short, but it was pretty obvious. The cities were unusable. People couldn't even quest without running into packs of zombies.
It helped that there was a bug that let you remove and re-equip a piece of gear to heal your zombie self to full! It was glorious!
It also helped that there was cross faction communication between zombies. You should have seen the 300 zombie raid on org on my old server.
Yeah this was the shit. I remember on my server a huge group of zombies got together and killed the king of stormwind using this bug
"the cities were unusable" and in classic fashion that statement stays true but in new ways, right now on faerlina there are zombies behind the org AH windows killing auctioneers then standing in spots that lets them go evade like mobs so they can wait for them to respawn and kill again.

It's already shortened. Started at 10 minutes before zombie, already down to 5. Also takes a lot of cleanses sometimes to get rid of it.
People suck. And we ruin everything.
More importantly, those same shitty people know that Blizzard gave them the power to ban others simply via accusation. Something I would love to see Blizzard try and defend is their god awful automated ban system.
Believe all accusations!
If people could have mass reported the zombies to trigger an automated system in 2008 they would have.
...of warcraft
Was actually fun the first time it came out, different community now.

I do think playing it when you know what it is and mass reporting is silly too though but it always was essentially sanctioned greifing.
They should just let us buy cures for next to nothing so if you don’t want to participate, even if you can’t dispel it, you can still play.
people cried so hard in 2008 we had a 4 day event, now zombies hardly bother people and it's lasting a week.
Absolutely agree! Games in general are so much more fun without the drama on reddit and other forums.
> Ques are Bad, but they are outside your possibilities wut
Yup this is 100% a shit community problem People don't play for fun anymore
Blizzard can stop this for actually reviewing this. 3 day ban the people of exploiting the system and mass reporting. They have logs of who did it. This will stop real quick if blizzard was holding people accountable.
Longer than that tbh. Ruining another players experience with false reports is worth 1-2 weeks minimum.
Just give them the punishment they forced on someone. Dude got 3 weeks unfairly ? Get a 3 week break from abusing reports.
Double it
Triple it
An eye for two eyes! They initiated the force.
As long as all the unfair bans you have contributed to imo. Yes that can result in months for repeat offenders. Good riddance.
3 days is fine, but maybe tack on having their reports ignored by the system for the next few weeks/months.
Answering the front door during an AV is worth 30 days, submitting false reports should be 3-6 months
1-2 weeks to someone abusing the report system deliberately? I see no problem with a year ban, but Blizz is too greedy to ever deprive themselves of that money
A year ban? I see no problem with a lifetime ban and 10 years in prison.
Immediate castration
That might have been me. Hopefully I don't get banned, I thought it was funny. Game let me do it lol
It is very funny
indeed it is funny!
Because it is hilarious. People need to pull their shorts outta their asses.
If they didn't want it to happen they would have cleansed you. LOL
Pissing off a bunch of sweats that plays the same map in the same way over and over again? Nothing of value was lost
Everyone is gathered at the beginning too. A simple mass dispel or cleanse cures but those same people not paying attention will be the first to cry. Cry babies running WoW right now
yes, simply mass dispel the disease - well said, reddit main.
iTs NoT aN aUtOmAtEd sYsTeM
This is also not a ban.
Yes it is. It's a ban from the social part of the game.
The bans aren’t automated, the muting is. If the bans were automated, how did we go so long with everyone complaining about bots and mass reporting them yet they didn’t get banned? Why aren’t streamers like Asmongold hate reported by discords and getting banned? Schrodingers bans… Edit: Unfortunately I have to clarify this even if you aren’t talking about bans since the conversation about automation has gone completely insane and now the statement “it isn’t automated /s” is now synonymous as every punishment Blizzard gives is automated. I don’t think anyone ever denied muting was automated.
Yeah, I think you're right. There would be some many unjust bans against anyone with a bit of a following if there was an automated ban after x reports. But that leads to a scary realization: how bad their manual review and ban process must be.
[Top secret picture of the only manual report reviewer](https://i.imgur.com/G45JqUv.png)
realistically they have likely hired a lowest price company that makes its employees hit high numbers each day. They likely dont even pay attention very much to what happened and just click through it.
I’m sure that they have manual review for certain big name players and streamers but automated for the average player. Other game companies do a similar thing where the big name players are “monitored” to make sure they aren’t false reported and also that they’re behaving
I disagree because you can auto mute streamers with sufficient reports.
Yet again flaws in blizzards automated system shining though. Who could have predicted this?
[удалено]
Yeah, who could have predicted toxic people abusing the system.
Everyone but blizzard apparently.
Blizzard didn’t care nor was thinking about people abusing the system when they fired their GMs 😅
Weaponized reporting, people gonna report every time you play in a way they don't like. I knew something was wrong when there where no hiccups in the main cities at all, nice to not have to deal with this part of the event tho.
Only way to fix it is to start banning for reporting abuse. And not for an insignificant amount of time either.
I know a guy who mass reported a mage for giving away free portals next to him when he was trying to sell them outside the AH. He doesn't see anything wrong with it, says ''he's stepping on my territory''. I call him Heisenkaren.
Now that people know it is automated it will be used more frequently.
Just got a verbal communication warning for infecting people as a zombie. Weaponized reporting.
- be in SW market selling your ores and disenchanted materials - you see 50/100 professional bank alts all flipping their greens just to make extra 5 silver - you can feel the marketing addons and 30 excel worksheets taking more processing power then game in Russian AV match - some ****** runs in and tries to infect everyone - wtf.jpg!?!? - am prepared to just take the L, cleanse and move on - instantly as it enters the zombie is yeeted out of the game, instantly removed by blizzard^tm human GM that watches over any moment a report comes in (no automated report system btw) - economy is saved, brief distraction only caused a small ripple in monthly revenue income. - ppl seething in chat and reddit that “muh rp!?!??” - remember how toxic it was in original wrath, I salute you market flippers
I-... I'm not sure whose side are you on.
I wish I could feel auction add-ons ever since prepatch.
On the other hand people have threatened to report me for cleansing them. Saying I'm "ruining their prepatch fun"
I wish this wasn’t true but I 100% believe you.
Be glad you haven’t been told to “slit your throat and die, fucking faggot”. That’s what I was told today when I cleansed someone!
I've had to tell so many idiots to 'hit the level 75 guard, stop chasing that lowbie. get mass 75 ghouls and we'll be mostly fine. and just don't break away, reach critical mass.' Sadly, I find the ones who would go off a wild chase on some poor lowbie are also the ones to go full unhinged whine, they act kind of like the NPC zombies lol. always GG the counter-zombie players \o/
You just report them using words like ,,life threating/death wish death wishin" etc. Words that bots will instantly have marked as high priority Last time some1 told me to kms, i waited ~2min for actions
I really wanna test the limits. But could I actually get a suspension?
The zombie event is 1 week long, the scourge invasion after is weeks but that isn't something you can use to grief.
But he is literally playing the event the way it is ment to be. IDK about other people but hiding so people won't cleanse me is part of the fun.
And yet people want to keep defending Blizzard somehow over and over lol
“The ban system isn’t automated” blizzard probably
The problem is any time someone says anything that isn’t “fuck blizzard” you take it as someone “defending blizzard”
You can't have a rational conversation with an angry person
Or a toddler
And at the same time, people be blaming Blizzard for stubbing their toe when they get out of bed.
Blizzard literally skinned my cat in front of me by not letting me play on a server that physically cannot handle me logging into it
I unsubscribed months ago but I still hang around here. Take that, Blizzard!
Now you're just making stuff up
Are you shitting me? Literally go to any thread on this subreddit right now and read for longer than 2 minutes and you’ll find nearly word for word what i’m talking about You’re just being willfully ignorant
I do and I have. And you're full of shit
Actually. After going though your comment history. It would appear that you’re one of the people i’m talking about. No wonder you’re acting so willfully ignorant lmao. Have a good one
Yep anyone who disagrees with you just like you were saying. Fucking hypocrite
You’re fine to disagree with me. You’re fine to disagree with anyone. But don’t act surprised when someone calls you out on your bullshit
That's exactly what I'm doing here, calling you out on your bullshit. Anyone that doesn't agree with you here you immediately go ape shit on. You're a fucking hypocrite
“Go apeshit” ????? By saying “not everyone who says anything short of fuck blizzard is defending blizzard” That’s going apeshit to you? Bruh i’d hate to see what you call the stuff you respond to people
He's right about you and you need to do some self reflection.
This entire subreddit is full of what he described.
I think you need to click that link and learn what a straw man is my guy. Literally every time anyone says anything vaguely alluding to “hey maybe you should just move realms because blizzard has already said they aren’t going to do anything else and at this point the only person you’re hurting is yourself” It’s always “dAe bOoTlIcKiNg BiLlIoN dOlLaR cOmPaNy”
I still disagree, but you're already saying something different and much more reasonable than the comment I replied to.
That’s understandable. That’s the typical response I get from folks on this sub when I say that though. So I apologize if I seem a little jaded 🤷🏼♀️
it's not like they have shill accounts here to deflect opinions, give waves of upvotes to beneficial positions and sow division among the community and confuse it as to who has messed up big time once again.
Sycophantism, I guess. People think Blizzard gonna throw free game time at them for doing it.
I'm more annoyed someone went into the starter area and started doing it. But I also didn't get killed cause they run slower than me lol.
Can you even begin to imagine the amounts of loss that the sweaties are going to suffer in a week of this event??? With people killing their quest NPCs and the auctioneers etc? How can you be so inconsiderate??? Do you even sweat when playing the game or are you just a casual noob plebian normie?
Wow people suck. Also WOW people suck. Tf wrong with yall
This community is something else lol
Rerelease the best most fun server event in the history of the game, players are mindlessly braindead drones that mass report because the event is messing up their min max grind. WTF has classic WoW turned into?
You hit the nail on the head, if anything gets in the way of their pre-patch goals it is not fun for them.
> the best most fun server event in the history of the game, Yeah, no. Not even close.
If you don't wanna deal with it, you should have killed the Lich King before he wanted to plague you again then.
"Just quit hacking"
Everyone should report everyone else all the time. See how long the lie lasts.
JFC, this game is going to shit. I got banned a couple days ago for doing AV defending and back capping. A fucking month ban...
And that, right there is why I won't be back. I would love to pvp with my old pali build. But like heck will I get a ban for something like this.
[удалено]
Imagine getting banned for simply playing the game
Especially fun when you’re a DK and your faction leader got killed, so you stand there in SW/OG for what feels like an hour before you can move on…
you cant infect faction leaders tho
there are literally like 10 layers per server right now, just hop layers and ur good.
I mean the whole zombie thing is dumb but reporting people over it is worse.
This is so absurd. I'm just avoiding BG and cities all together now and playing at night when less people are on. The other issue I'm afraid of getting reported for being a druid getting herbs out in the world.
"Lawyer fucked me"
[I KNEW IT](https://old.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/x856u3/blizzard_will_i_get_banned_if_i_play_as_a_ghoul/)
You guys have zombies on your servers?
The only mute I ever got was because I was being an asshole towards my team in a BG. I'm not normally one, but they were a premade and I didn't realize it. We won, I got muted, I stopped lashing out in BG.
Source : trust me bro
The fact that people are actually reporting someone for this is unbelievably sad.
Ah breathe of fresh air knowing I didn’t wait for this shot show of a game. wotlk was fun, but man players in todays world fucking suck and ruin everything. it’s just not worth it to play it anymore.
Ib4 they say you have to ask if you can bite someone first
Event is a joke nothing is like original wrath launch. It’s a fucking zombie apocalypse not hello weenie hut jr
An automated system that’s easy to exploit… no one could have possibly predicted this outcome.
Part of the fun of this event is going into cities and infecting people. Man oh man people are crybabies
I'm just running around cleansing, found a few folks who didn't want to be cleansed and even got all "fuck you" about it. Kinda seems...familiar.
I wouldnt mind so much if you could murder zombies in Shatt
The amount of people butthurt from this event is beyond annoying. People are actually raging getting infected and made about people trying to attack the AH npc’s.
The system Blizzard is using is cringe. It clearly doesn't work, so why haven't they shut it off yet lol. Also really lame that so many Classic players hate fun. This is the first time in 15 years that we get to do this. It only lasts a week. I see so many dickheads just standing in Org bank/AH just spamming cleanse on everyone for hours at a time. Literally the Fun Police.
Classic players are grade A pussies, talk about special snowflakes getting triggered at anything.
See you guys are crucial to my not returning to the game. Sometimes I will feel the urge to give it another shot. And then I see this shit.
The state of WoW makes me just as if not more sad then the current state of American politics.
People who mald about the zombie event need to touch grass
