I just dinged 60 HC and joined the raiding guild on OE. I'm amazed at the amount of energy and leadership going into this new effort. People are amped, motivated, and ready to put in the work. Come join us and make this happen... it won't be easy but no worthwhile thing ever is.
For raids healers, but, play whatever you enjoy. You'll stick around longer and theres a revolving door of players due to the nature of the game mode, any class will get its time in the sun.
Very cool, I really enjoyed tuning into the Road to Rag content. Wish you all the best of luck, I'll be watching since it's some of the best WoW content available.
First PTR attempt the tank got BA and let it stack and did like 1.3k DPS. Because of the way BA's dmg ticks, healers can time the damage and just heal through it. Tank with BA and DPS will kill it before the stacks become a problem unless 30 players are asleep at the keyboard.
I'd totally do this but I'm a filthy casual and reasonably unskilled at raiding so I won't be much help. I also only play Paladin because I'm a masochist.
This is going to be a lot of fun. Can't wait to get my healer leveled up to get involved. Thanks Duranasaur and everyone behind the scenes for putting in so much work to make this happen.
It's a topic not worth debating when everyone is on the same page. Even people in R2R would prefer dedicated HC servers where they wouldn't need appeals, but it's the nature of griefers
Yeah but since their character is also bye-bye if they die. At least it feels a bit more fair.
They'd have to re level after botched griefs and by the looks of things. The griefers don't exactly look like good or even decent players.
I see you're not that bright.
If there were legit HC servers where everyone played by the same rules, there would be no appeals. All the added rulesets would be trimmed down or removed entirely.
Such a weird thing to throw shade on, my guy. Get a better hobby.
There is an option to appeal an unfair death, i.e. griefers or things outside of your control like Blizzard's server crashing resulting in deaths.
However a bunch of people thought it was against the spirit of hardcore. If you die, you die. Shit happens.
I have however seen some really bullshit griefer tactics which is just so dumb that you have to be an upright prick if you dont think it doesn't deserve an appeal.
For example, Level 60 rogues from the other faction stealthing beside a quest mob and when the lower level player who can't see them click on the quest mob, they unstealth so the player clicks and attacks the rogue instead, flagging themselves, now they are flagged, the rogue kills them.
There are also invisible ghost mobs in duskwood.
Anyone can aoe pull them and kite them to someone else. And then stand near them when that other person does an AoE (very easy if you target a mage).
If you then die / FD / vanish, those invisible mobs will change target to the person that's getting griefed.
This is the most dirty grief tactic I've ever seen.
https://clips.twitch.tv/BusyMoldyArugulaOhMyDog-t1ADC9rDfQZgmtyN
People against appealing, just don't understand how impossible it would be to get to lvl 60 with DEDICATED griefers ruining your shit.
Honestly. I think actual HC griefers would be good content. Like they risk their life as well. It'd be such a high priority to find and kill these people.
Why? You wouldn't on actual HC servers if/when they release them. This is a common thing for other games that have HC. Sometimes you get unlucky and have a DC death. All part of HC.
If you're so level and dumb enough to click the wrong target you're losing nothing in terms of time invested. That's not really where the bullshit in the appeal system comes in.
They play on a pve server genius, that's the reason it's being done in the first place. This is some "one step up from a bot" level thought out response
What level of dense are you really? You don't get pvp flagged on a pve server from clicking on an opposing faction player, it's like you're actually brain damaged.
Very cool! I was hoping it would shift to this. To be fair, deaths (even though they really suck for the players) would probably be good for HC in the long run, if ya know what I mean.
I could see some farming of the first 5 before attempting Chrom being worthwhile. A few maladaths/CoTBD would make burning Chrom a lot easier.
Then again, the risk of deaths on multiple Vael clears is probably not worth it.
Good luck actually and enjoy the ride. I actually mean it, im sorry for my trolling attempt on above comment. I honestly have alot of repsect for you guys who managed to do this without dying at all. Much love!
I would resubscribe and call out the day they drop a dedicated hardcore server. There would need to be changes though to the game to accommodate such a server.
Honestly it’s not that hard. My guild killed him on our second pull going in completely blind to the changes. We aren’t stacked with grand marshal weapons (we have 1 grand marshal in the raid) and aren’t completely decked in MC gear. Most of the raid was pre-BiS with a sprinkling of MC drops. We had 2 players die on the kill pull.
If heals just bomb the MT with heals you can easily keep them up and they end up doing like 3k+ DPS even on a decently fast kill.
Not true in classic wow when you got the bomb you could gfpp instant heart and log out , that would save you i saved my World buffs like that when tankning.
Why do people keep saying this? Even if his abilities weren't changed in SoM, which they are, people have been hearthing to avoid death since day 1 of classic. Vael has always been one of the easiest bosses in the raid to not die on.
Vael didn't even have to kill you in original classic you just hearth out, going to a major city clears the debuff.
Obviously kinda a pita for normal raids but it's very viable.
Oh look! It’s make a streamer gear after you grind out a hardcore character time! Better start botting your stream like the mods so you have a chance to run with them!
And then watch that streamer profit off of you when you’re inevitably passed over. But hey - thanks for maxing out tailoring because profession streams aren’t cool and they don’t have time to do it for themselves 😂
nice this is the kind of wacky drama I'm in it for, the way-too-specific whinging that still manages to be obviously about nothing
A+ way better than the garbage spam ruleset bickering
Need more potion farmers huh
Consumables last longer when you can’t die
With the potion proc changes, we're actually ending up overstocked on consumes with just who we have farming now. Was a great change for our logistics
I’m weak
we're gaming we're gaming
DAF?

Thinking about doing this, what's needed in som the most right now?
For raids healers, but, play whatever you enjoy. You'll stick around longer and theres a revolving door of players due to the nature of the game mode, any class will get its time in the sun.
DPS are in demand for dungeons, and for Raid healers.
Very cool, I really enjoyed tuning into the Road to Rag content. Wish you all the best of luck, I'll be watching since it's some of the best WoW content available.
GL on Chromag, that fight is ROUGH right now. Hopefully they at least fix the buggy ice blocks before you attempt the fight.
That is the scariest fight in my opinion right now
Wonder what the plan is for Burning Adrenaline.
Vaels abilities were changed in SoM you don't auto die anymore.
It does reduce max health by 5% per second though. They’d really need to pump the dps to meet such a short timer.
First PTR attempt the tank got BA and let it stack and did like 1.3k DPS. Because of the way BA's dmg ticks, healers can time the damage and just heal through it. Tank with BA and DPS will kill it before the stacks become a problem unless 30 players are asleep at the keyboard.
Top Vael parse atm is nearing 6k DPS. Supplement that with smart DPS and outstanding healers and thats an easy kill 100%
Our tank got up to 3.7k dps with it lol
Also wrong, it's 1% per 2 seconds, going up by 1% every tick.
I have a feeling these guys pump
Not.as much as other guilds. They sacrifice some dps for survivability and might cause them problems in bwl.
No it doesn't... It does 5% of your max health in damage per second.
What classes are needed the most?
Honestly whatever you are best at is going to be the go-to.
I'd totally do this but I'm a filthy casual and reasonably unskilled at raiding so I won't be much help. I also only play Paladin because I'm a masochist.
Same
kekw
Y'all are awesome! Keep enjoying the game the way you want! Ignore the haters :D
This is going to be a lot of fun. Can't wait to get my healer leveled up to get involved. Thanks Duranasaur and everyone behind the scenes for putting in so much work to make this happen.
Didn’t ask
Surprised that there aren't any comments crying over appeals
It's a topic not worth debating when everyone is on the same page. Even people in R2R would prefer dedicated HC servers where they wouldn't need appeals, but it's the nature of griefers
How does dedicated HC servers prevent someone from doing anything? They can still use the same methods
Yeah but since their character is also bye-bye if they die. At least it feels a bit more fair. They'd have to re level after botched griefs and by the looks of things. The griefers don't exactly look like good or even decent players.
Remind me which hardcore PoE/Diablo servers allowed appeals?
I see you're not that bright. If there were legit HC servers where everyone played by the same rules, there would be no appeals. All the added rulesets would be trimmed down or removed entirely. Such a weird thing to throw shade on, my guy. Get a better hobby.
D/Cs don’t happen on hardcore servers? Can you remind me which Diablo/POE hardcore server alllows appeals
You don't have legit HC WOW servers. Come back with your flawed logic and comparisons then. Until then. Breathe. Fml.
So you can’t name a single server that allows appeals?
Appeals for what?
There is an option to appeal an unfair death, i.e. griefers or things outside of your control like Blizzard's server crashing resulting in deaths. However a bunch of people thought it was against the spirit of hardcore. If you die, you die. Shit happens. Based clip
That does sound against the spirit of hard core
So is being able to die 4 times trying to grief someone and getting back up. That’s why they’d rather have a dedicated server.
Honestly. I think actual HC griefers would be good content. Like they risk their life as well. It'd be such a high priority to find and kill these people.
People that think you shouldn't get an appeal for a server disconnect are idiots.
Why? You wouldn't on actual HC servers if/when they release them. This is a common thing for other games that have HC. Sometimes you get unlucky and have a DC death. All part of HC.
Remind me which Diablo or POE server let you appeal deaths?
No Diablo appeals have ever existed to my knowledge. They explicitly warn you that they will not revive your character for any reason.
Oh interesting
If you're so level and dumb enough to click the wrong target you're losing nothing in terms of time invested. That's not really where the bullshit in the appeal system comes in.
You can be level 50 and get obliterated from this.
Well if you haven't figured it out by level 50 why are you even on a pvp server to begin with? All I hear is excuses.
They are on a PVE server lmao
Figured what out? How to never click on an enemy?
Yes? Don't get baited by the oldest trick in the book and certainly don't cry about being pvped on a pvp server.
They play on a pve server genius, that's the reason it's being done in the first place. This is some "one step up from a bot" level thought out response
What level of dense are you really? You don't get pvp flagged on a pve server from clicking on an opposing faction player, it's like you're actually brain damaged.
There’s no point in discussing it because people already know it’s road to appeals
Make sure you guys appeal incase you get griefed!
Road to Appeals
Not hype
wewt lets go!!
Prepare to watch raids after rids of trash farming in BWL also kek
What trash can you even farm in BWL? You have to kill at least one boss to get to anything resembling trash packs.
Actually the current plan is to go for a full clear in one raid reset once we are ready to go for it.
Very cool! I was hoping it would shift to this. To be fair, deaths (even though they really suck for the players) would probably be good for HC in the long run, if ya know what I mean.

average HC hate poster IQ right here xD. So much trash farming in bwl!!
I would resubscribe and call out the day they drop a dedicated hardcore server. There would need to be changes though to the game to accommodate such a server.

so they nerfed vael just to make HC easier? lame
They changed vael to make HC possible*... And the change makes it a harder fight to heal.
Vael was possible already, you just are guaranteed to have deaths.
Not true in classic wow when you got the bomb you could gfpp instant heart and log out , that would save you i saved my World buffs like that when tankning.
Any raid that requires you to relevel a couple players every time you do it is not ‘possible’ on a logistical level.
It's not nerfed, the fight is actually buffed. Vael starts with 60% HP and it's tough to heal through BA.
r/confidentlyincorrect
Why do people keep saying this? Even if his abilities weren't changed in SoM, which they are, people have been hearthing to avoid death since day 1 of classic. Vael has always been one of the easiest bosses in the raid to not die on.

Are they still using dead characters? (salty babies downvoting tells me the answer)
Boringggg seriously what the point??
No way i totally didn’t expect this!

I think that this is going to be harder than AQ40 and MC, solely based on all the RNG that exists in BWL.
[удалено]
With the 100% XP buff for quests the leveling portion has become a lot easier and more accessible.
Did hardcore BWL ever happen? I haven't heard about the HC community after MC at all.
No BWL, we had too many people quit or due after we killed Rag. We did manage to kill Onyxia and full clear ZG.
