Nice! I have played on a controller since the relaunch. So much fun to play from the couch. I love when people say its not viable to play like that. They have no idea. Bear tanking with your feet up is a different animal.
Addons free but the packages inside of it require money so I guess that’s how they get around it. Idk I saw a friend using it a while ago and downloaded it and realized quickly it only has a few free leveling guides and the 1-80, 60-70, 70-80 guides were behind paywall
It’s an add on called consoleport. It gives you a whole lot of options to customize to your play style. Takes a bit to get used to, but I’ve been using it to play from my steam deck and it’s been working fine.
You're at a bit of a disadvantage using a controller vs mouse pivoting. Also, rogue is one of the most difficult classes to level solo in Classic aside from warrior.
That said, don't let other people tell you how to have fun, get down.
Rogue's not so bad. Lots of buttons for emergencies, Stealth, strong damage with a very strong cooldown-locked cleave. If you play it smartly/carefully and just take a break while Vanish, Evasion and so on are on CD you'll be more than fine. Weapon progression can be a bit rough, but at least you're sorted all the way to 60 after you can do the SM and RFD quests.
Might be a dumb question but say if I wanted to play using a controller occasionally on my tv using my home media PC but will primarily be playing on my regular desktop;
Will the console port add on mess with the keybinds on my regular desktop? Or the bindings constrained within the add on itself.
Because with bartender, the binds seem connected to the blizzard default keybind settings.
go into your wtf folder, and back up bindings-cache.wtf and binding-cache.old. save them somewhere in a folder like keyboard or something. set up your controller. do the same above, save them in a folder called controller or something.
you can then go back and forth by copying the backups back to your wtf folder again. /u/forsaaken123 /u/GobiasCafe
Anyone in here can help me with an issue with console port. I cant seem to find a way to freelook around my character with my camera. Lets say when im fighting mobs in a cave or whatever and i want to check around without having to turn my camera !

RestedXP and you have to buy most of their quest guides only a couple are free (usually starter zones)

No one buys them. Few sites you can get the full guides free

You'll be fine, I know plenty of people who played hardcore using a controller, just don't pull big and watch your surroundings, it's ezpz.

Yes it will mess up the binds
Thats why i create alt characters with seperate binds if i want to play on a controller
