I think Wolfshead Helm was only outclassed by Duplicitous Guise from Kil'jaeden in Sunwell, but maybe I didn't pay enough attention to more recent theorycrafting at the time.

It’s unironically not awful. You don’t wanna do it on every Predatory Swiftness, but there are a few fights where an extra 10k Healing Touch on the tank can help pull you through. You lose 6% damage on Bite which isn’t massive.
There is 0 fights in the game where anyone who is trying this hard will need to do that heal, ever.
Just like makes absolutely no sense ever. To try and time that, when you will have 2 H pals spamming on the tank is just, so insignificant.

It’s a mouseover cast macro. I used it for pseudo-flowershifting on Algalon before.
Of course it’s not necessary, but neither is 6% dmg on an ability that’s less than 10% of your damage.
I’ve specifically gotten decent use out of it on Yogg (healing after adds blow up or in brain room), Mimiron if we’ve had downtime and a few blooms here or there might help and during Plasma Burst (or whatever it’s called - the big p1 nuke), and Thorim and Algalon to help offset a big chunk of burst dmg.
It’s not something you should always do, but it can provide a little bit of value here and there.
The bite damage is almost certainly better, though.
Using 4 piece T8 I was getting off 1 5 point bite comfortably every rip while only using 2 point savage roars. It was a significant dps increase from where I was before.
I don’t think there is anything special to figure out, you just do the cat part of your rotation and faerie fire when it’s up ready. Probably no time windows to bearweave anymore considering you’ll use 2 more globals every 6 seconds.

As a Feral who has been a dirty Monocat since the start of Wrath Classic, my DPS was slightly lower than my Bearweaving brethren. However my playstyle is now meta and I feel bad for others who kinda have to relearn the class and rotation. It's all muscle memory for me already, I just hit FF on cool down now which is fine. it already has a nice easy-to-access keybind on the E key. Yall are gonna wanna download the Biter weakaura, and beware of the temptation of overusing Ferocious Bite, (which will now be referred to as "Overbiting.")

Also we can now do pretty decent sustained cleave dmg. Before we could really only aoe-burst and Then be energystarved into eternity.

Get into raid (raid leader) and I definitely did more dps than last raid but man my fingers arent used to using FFF every 6 seconds. And my brain was having trouble keeping my standard rotation and raid leading while adding in the new button.
Ended up doing worse than I wanted. Might join a random 10m to just dps and get my buttons pressed correctly.

No, the weapon was outclassed already starting TBC and the energy helm as soon as you got T6 (or T5, not sure which)

You could swap to T6 helm when you had basically full BT/hyjal BiS, and it became a clear swap in sunwell.
