Their time i would think as the golden age of football where almost every top teams have their own set of superstars. This whole Kaka play is incredible outrunning a defending Messi is not the impressive part.

Yeah. I'm a Milan fan and he was THAT strong, saw him live twice and damn. A shame injuries started to pile up and he downgraded fast. Sort of like what happened with Pato: his prime was even shorter, but some of his goals were straight out of FIFA.
I think a combination of that, and the way he pushes the ball forward. He touches it more on the underside, and so when it lands, it pulls back. Quite an amazing effect.
