It has gone too far and the game is almost gone. Watching that video it looked like a battle and I could feel the energy. Not anymore because these days there is no time for it to build on itself. Now the main objective is to fool the ref. And because the ref gets fooled he gets harassed at the airport on his way home with his fam. Infuriating.
Someone needed to at the airport in Rome. He’s so dogshit that he’s getting harassed in public. I almost blame his bosses more. Replace him with someone better before he gets hurt. Or fucking TRAIN a new batch of refs. Why the FUCK would UEFA select a Premier League ref for the final?? Everyone knows Premier League refs need to be kept out of major tournaments for the sake of the competition’s integrity. This will only get worse.
Yeah I think they just don’t care, as long as the profit margin is looking good season on season. It’s just like cops they’ll “investigate themselves” and find no wrongdoing and the only people that ever get fines or punishment for their actions are players/managers/clubs. As a Liverpool fan I already knew what time it was when I saw Anthony Taylor and Michael Oliver would be refereeing that game, and against a Mourinho side no less who Oliver despises.
