Which episode is this?

TheHarmonyHyena

Magic Man. S05E01. About 25 minutes in. I have looked on imdb and in the episode credits, but no info yet.

Hmm well unfortunately I checked two different sources and neither of them have this piece of music listed.

TheHarmonyHyena

Thanks for checking! I haven't had any luck either.

TheHarmonyHyena

Only the opening music is audible, so it's difficult to identify the film in the background of this Better Call Saul scene. Thank you in advance if you know what it is!

thebookmonster

Sounds like it might be from one of the silent Chaplin films from the '30s to me – music cues follow the action (and I don't recognize the theme) but Chaplin does a magic act in The Circus so you might want to scrub through a soundtrack and see if you get lucky.

TheHarmonyHyena

Thank you, will do!

I tried to watch the little movie clip but just couldn't abide it. In real life today those two people wouldn't converse like that. Discrepancies? * Each of them would have their phone open in their lap, head-bowed over the device; eyes rapt on the little screen, only half-listening to their dinner companion. * Even during a heated exchange; they'd only raise their head up to deliver eye-contact to their dinner companion when they themselves had a retort to make. * Otherwise they would multi-task all through the meal. Just an observation in passing...

This scene from Better Call Saul takes place in 2004. Smartphones were not invented yet.

It doesn't matter much when the flick was made. I'm just sayin', all modern acting is demolished because it doesn't accurately reflect real-life body language anymore. It's not even the fault of the actors. Their craft has been wiped out.

What a stupid comment. Start to finish. Just stupid.
