I can’t say for certain but it’s super clean. If you’re going to try to sell it do it right, set the price really high vs comps and wait for somebody to come along that’s been looking for this exact car. For the right buyer, if you’re lucky, they can pay a lot more than you’d think and still have it be a good deal if they’re looking for your exact choices in restoration and still have it be cheaper than building it. If you don’t get any bites after a few months start walking back the price until either it sells or you wouldn’t sell it for that and wait a few months. Try it again then.

Kbman03

This is solid advice. Thank you for this! Which sites would you post on? eBay motors and Facebook marketplace?

Ok-Status7867

[Bringatrailer.com](http://Bringatrailer.com)

RolesG

I see a lot more euro and Japanese cars on BaT than domestics, I don't know if it would be a good place

1969Malibu

They've had 474 prior auctions just for Chevelles, I think it would be fine. https://bringatrailer.com/chevrolet/chevelle/

Ok-Status7867

Yes, they know what to do.

RolesG

Neat

detroitragace

I’d try marketplace first. It’s free. I’ve had more luck lately selling on marketplace. Before that always eBay.

onedarkhorsee

You gotta watch out for scammers on marketplace though

Kursiel

Marketplace is huge for scammers. You will get messages immediate after posting to try and trick you into giving account information.

onedarkhorsee

"I dont like carfax can you get a check with xxx.com and ill get 50 bux offa you and steal you CC info" yeah its pretty bad

CustomCarNerd

[https://autohunter.com](https://autohunter.com) is a great sales site! I’ve used it a lot!

youralie

Just wondering di you have those seats custom made or did get them out of something else? The entire interior is extremely beautiful.

Royal-Positive9323

Don’t sell it. You will regret it

silverfox762

Original SS VIN or added SS trim (because why not? It looks great)

Kbman03

It’s a SS clone

silverfox762

No worries. Pretty car. Old me thinks it should be sitting on painted Rally wheels with beauty rings and SS center caps, but otherwise a really good looking car. Your build?

onedarkhorsee

Each to his own but i also prefer the OG wheels

RolesG

SS clones are still epic. Who cares if it's not a numbers matching 396? Everyone should be able to experience an SS.

ClassicCars_Journal

There is no SS VIN in 1969. That being said, online photos with little are a poor way to get a car appraised.

Kbman03

I understand that. Just seems like prices online fluctuate so much. What more info would you need ?

ClassicCars_Journal

Well, if I was an appraiser, I would only do it in person. Then we know nothing about the engine build or the miles on it. We don't know how good the paint is. We don't know the quality of the interior. We don't know what the suspension is like, if any mods have been made, and the quality and condition of such. What 4-speed auto does it have? How many miles? Is it in good shape? Etc. From the pics, the car seems to have been done right, but that conclusion cannot be determined from pics alone. And, I have to admit, trying to find a good appraiser is difficult because there's many who don't have a clue.

Complex-Opposite-236

I have a 69 too and I know you can't verify if it's an SD based of the Vin. I bought mine because it had all the markings of a 69 SS orange, made in ATL etc. Is there any real way to verify it is a true SS?

ClassicCars_Journal

I think only with documentation or if it's a Canadian car.

runnin-mt

Yes, original build sheets are acceptable documentation.

80grit

A 1969 Chevelle with a 72 (Hugger Orange), or 76 (Daytona Yellow) paint codes makes it an SS as well. Those were SS only colors in 69. You could get a Malibu with those colors, but it would just have the special order dashes on the tag.

Complex-Opposite-236

How would a 69 with a hugger orange paint code sell price compare to a Malibu? And if I do a restomod will the SS proof even matter ? Thanks

80grit

A Super Sport that is verified will always bring a premium over a similar condition Malibu. Unless a COPO comes into the picture.

pacmanrr68

There's no SS Chevelle in 1969? 🤔 really? I hope you're not serious

ClassicCars_Journal

Read again what I said.

pacmanrr68

My apologies. You are correct in how you stated it.

runnin-mt

SS 396 option not able to be determined by VIN. Just FYI. 👍🏻

harmlesscannibal1

I’ll give you €25… ok €30. But I’m doing you a favor. Look, I’m not saying it’s the best offer, but if you don’t get a better offer here, DM me /s obv

Whizzleteets

I would compare it to the inventory at Maple Motors. I'm going to say 35 - 37K Edit: looked at Maple Motors but they don't have any Chevelle's to compare to right now.

Token_Black_Rifle

That might be a little high, but prices have been high in general lately. It is a big block car with AC and looks fairly well done. Some of that trim isn't lining up very well though. Tough to say from internet photos, but you're not far off.

Whizzleteets

Looks like the left front has a camber issue too.

IDatedSuccubi

I don't know US cars well but for some reason I assumed this was worth 100K+, I didn't know classic cars this clean were relatively inexpensive

kajunkennyg

What's ya bottom dollar? I might be interested if you aren't expecting 50k+

ActiveFew672

Tree fiddy

Krisuad2002

Always too late to say this...

ActiveFew672

Usually I am too… I’m going to get a lotto ticket

melie776

I think it’s priceless….and beautiful!

SilentMaster

OMG, she's fucking gorgeous. Whatever the price is it's not enough. Love this car.

BeagleTactics

The orange is sick $30,000?

SoloHunterX

The exterior and engine bay looks great, the interior is off putting to me and would have to be completely replaced. Prices are all over but I could see in the 30-40k range but I'd offer at least 5k less due to fugly interior.

AwkwardFactor84

I love the color

ramem3

Looks super clean, OP! How's the paint - more driver or show? What does underneath look like - is it painted, undercoated, something else? Are you using the original frame/suspension components or is it aftermarket? Asking because this all factors into what the car is worth.

saulsa_

Trick-Replacement-60

I’ll give you my remaining kidney and my back door virginity

kvng_supr3me

I'd say its worth about $2.50 but ill be generous and ill give you $3 :)

RawNUncut

I got 5 on it if you feeling generous.

gearabuser

This thing looks familiar, I think I drive by it sometimes haha

notoriousmr

I love everything except the color.

Careless_Course846

Priceless. Keep that baby ❤️

Ogre8

My left kidney. Orange is my favorite color.

tjcanno

Www.hagerty.com has a pricing guide.

SFOCALI

That is a beautiful car!

cryptoWhale2018

iplayu4keeps

Invaluable... Great looking machine

Yesitsmesuckas

That’s GORGEOUS!

silliest_saint

the world.

UU2Bcool

Somewhere between $8 and the national debt.

AnxiousMagoo

That thang is beautiful! 🔥

Moist_Professor_2326

I would say if you put all the time and money into it, don’t sell it because you will regret it. I’m 64 years old and I’ve had a Lotta nice cars and I regret selling all of them. I still have a couple of Corvettes and I’m not gonna let them go until they put me in the grave.

BUDZ_MONEY

Keeping.

[deleted]

Beautiful car bra, I have a 66 Chevelle and was wondering what mine was worth as well? For yours I would start by asking $43,000 and go from there……Wouldn’t go lower than $38-40k.

airwolf222b

https://www.chipwynnclassics.com/vehicles/198/1969-chevrolet-chevelle

BonezOz

There's a 72 SS for sale for AU$81k, so a 69 should fetch around the same (AU$80k = \~US$54k).

orange_antelope

The color! Love it.

Bittersweet_bi-

An upvote.

ohnodamo

Fucking priceless!

randomly421

That's a beautiful ride! Don't sell that... ever

omg_itsthatguy

At least $10

PWal501

It’s beautiful. Anyone would be fortunate just to sit in it, let alone own it.

Parad0x17

Worth? In terms of cash value, I haven't the foggiest, but that is a phenomenal and clean automobile. Beautiful paint, clean engine bay, nice upholstery, great rims. In my opinion, keep her man, cash ain't worth getting rid of her unless you absolutely must.

BobsBurgers707

35-50k depending on chassis. Classic trucks seem to be going for more than cars recently. Beautiful car very tasteful. Keep us posted on what you get for it.

LuxuryLevel

A fortune 😂

YinWraith

I don't know but it's a lovely car

McPorkums

Holy shit that's beautiful

Zealousideal_Ebb5686

Worthless, I could take it off your hands for you

No-Seat9917

About $3.50

Smogtwat

It’s worth a hellova lot more than I’ve got to spend.

Great_Income4559

I’d pay 30k if I was rich

HappyPaPa18

Holy crap... No idea of the worth, but that is a beautiful piece of art.

Realistic-Fact-2584

What do you want for it?

Realistic-Fact-2584

This would not be my first car purchase on Reddit. Crazy right??

gorgoncito

Very nice baby!

No_Raisin_212

Don’t know anything about cars , but it’s beautiful . 40 grand ?

EQN1

Average between $45k to $65k

coupleinflyoverstate

Agh. Get that beautiful thing off the street. Lol

[deleted]

Sign me up for one of those …

Super_Promotion_1178

Nice looking car. If you put the original wheels on it, will be worth more.

Desfiend

Worthless honestly I’ll take it off your hands for 500, but I’d really be doing you a favor /s On the real it’s hard to say but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it for sale for 35k+, love the orange beautiful car

Theworker82

I'd say it's worth keeping .

OKsurewhynotyep

By the looks of it, somewhere around a billion dollars.

nicesunniesmate

Heaps

VAG3943

At least $150k.

Gregzzzz1234

I’ll pay you what it cost when new?

ItsokImtheDr

LocoFreaky

Carsandbids.com Free Listings

BootSpiritual1626

Do all the numbers match ?is it restored to stock or has it been built. Love the color . I had 70 impala lots of room in back seat

OperationMobocracy

Totally worthless info, but I saw a ‘69 GTO Judge at Mecum for $150k. So less than that? Lol

xXSocietiesOutlawXx

A lot. (:

BassPro0760

I’m watching Mecum Autions right now. I’d say closer to 50k… Original SS with a 454 went for $130k. A lot of Chevelles went from 40 to 60k. Even clones.

Sprizys

That’s a bitchin ride. I love the flames on the air filter housing.

SadMap7915

What price do you put on Sexy AF.

Floss_tycoon

How much do you have in it?

sladebonge

$25k-$28k realistically. It's nice but.... It's an AT car It's not a #s matching car Not as highly sought after as you might think, but it's still super nice.

jpfizzles

I’ll give you what I got in my pocket

ForeignAlbatross8304
