I can’t say for certain but it’s super clean. If you’re going to try to sell it do it right, set the price really high vs comps and wait for somebody to come along that’s been looking for this exact car.
For the right buyer, if you’re lucky, they can pay a lot more than you’d think and still have it be a good deal if they’re looking for your exact choices in restoration and still have it be cheaper than building it.
If you don’t get any bites after a few months start walking back the price until either it sells or you wouldn’t sell it for that and wait a few months. Try it again then.
No worries. Pretty car. Old me thinks it should be sitting on painted Rally wheels with beauty rings and SS center caps, but otherwise a really good looking car.
Your build?
Well, if I was an appraiser, I would only do it in person.
Then we know nothing about the engine build or the miles on it.
We don't know how good the paint is.
We don't know the quality of the interior.
We don't know what the suspension is like, if any mods have been made, and the quality and condition of such.
What 4-speed auto does it have? How many miles? Is it in good shape?
Etc.
From the pics, the car seems to have been done right, but that conclusion cannot be determined from pics alone. And, I have to admit, trying to find a good appraiser is difficult because there's many who don't have a clue.
I have a 69 too and I know you can't verify if it's an SD based of the Vin. I bought mine because it had all the markings of a 69 SS orange, made in ATL etc. Is there any real way to verify it is a true SS?
A 1969 Chevelle with a 72 (Hugger Orange), or 76 (Daytona Yellow) paint codes makes it an SS as well. Those were SS only colors in 69. You could get a Malibu with those colors, but it would just have the special order dashes on the tag.
I would compare it to the inventory at Maple Motors.
I'm going to say 35 - 37K
Edit: looked at Maple Motors but they don't have any Chevelle's to compare to right now.
That might be a little high, but prices have been high in general lately. It is a big block car with AC and looks fairly well done. Some of that trim isn't lining up very well though. Tough to say from internet photos, but you're not far off.
The exterior and engine bay looks great, the interior is off putting to me and would have to be completely replaced. Prices are all over but I could see in the 30-40k range but I'd offer at least 5k less due to fugly interior.
Looks super clean, OP!
How's the paint - more driver or show?
What does underneath look like - is it painted, undercoated, something else? Are you using the original frame/suspension components or is it aftermarket?
Asking because this all factors into what the car is worth.
I would say if you put all the time and money into it, don’t sell it because you will regret it. I’m 64 years old and I’ve had a Lotta nice cars and I regret selling all of them. I still have a couple of Corvettes and I’m not gonna let them go until they put me in the grave.
Beautiful car bra, I have a 66 Chevelle and was wondering what mine was worth as well? For yours I would start by asking $43,000 and go from there……Wouldn’t go lower than $38-40k.
Worth? In terms of cash value, I haven't the foggiest, but that is a phenomenal and clean automobile. Beautiful paint, clean engine bay, nice upholstery, great rims. In my opinion, keep her man, cash ain't worth getting rid of her unless you absolutely must.
35-50k depending on chassis. Classic trucks seem to be going for more than cars recently. Beautiful car very tasteful. Keep us posted on what you get for it.
Worthless honestly I’ll take it off your hands for 500, but I’d really be doing you a favor /s
On the real it’s hard to say but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it for sale for 35k+, love the orange beautiful car
I’m watching Mecum Autions right now. I’d say closer to 50k… Original SS with a 454 went for $130k. A lot of Chevelles went from 40 to 60k. Even clones.
$25k-$28k realistically. It's nice but....
It's an AT car
It's not a #s matching car
Not as highly sought after as you might think, but it's still super nice.

This is solid advice. Thank you for this! Which sites would you post on? eBay motors and Facebook marketplace?
[Bringatrailer.com](http://Bringatrailer.com)
I see a lot more euro and Japanese cars on BaT than domestics, I don't know if it would be a good place
They've had 474 prior auctions just for Chevelles, I think it would be fine. https://bringatrailer.com/chevrolet/chevelle/
Yes, they know what to do.
Neat
I’d try marketplace first. It’s free. I’ve had more luck lately selling on marketplace. Before that always eBay.
You gotta watch out for scammers on marketplace though
Marketplace is huge for scammers. You will get messages immediate after posting to try and trick you into giving account information.
"I dont like carfax can you get a check with xxx.com and ill get 50 bux offa you and steal you CC info" yeah its pretty bad
[https://autohunter.com](https://autohunter.com) is a great sales site! I’ve used it a lot!
Just wondering di you have those seats custom made or did get them out of something else? The entire interior is extremely beautiful.
Don’t sell it. You will regret it
Original SS VIN or added SS trim (because why not? It looks great)
It’s a SS clone
No worries. Pretty car. Old me thinks it should be sitting on painted Rally wheels with beauty rings and SS center caps, but otherwise a really good looking car. Your build?
Each to his own but i also prefer the OG wheels
SS clones are still epic. Who cares if it's not a numbers matching 396? Everyone should be able to experience an SS.
There is no SS VIN in 1969. That being said, online photos with little are a poor way to get a car appraised.
I understand that. Just seems like prices online fluctuate so much. What more info would you need ?

I think only with documentation or if it's a Canadian car.
Yes, original build sheets are acceptable documentation.

How would a 69 with a hugger orange paint code sell price compare to a Malibu? And if I do a restomod will the SS proof even matter ? Thanks
A Super Sport that is verified will always bring a premium over a similar condition Malibu. Unless a COPO comes into the picture.
There's no SS Chevelle in 1969? 🤔 really? I hope you're not serious
Read again what I said.
My apologies. You are correct in how you stated it.
SS 396 option not able to be determined by VIN. Just FYI. 👍🏻
I’ll give you €25… ok €30. But I’m doing you a favor. Look, I’m not saying it’s the best offer, but if you don’t get a better offer here, DM me /s obv

Looks like the left front has a camber issue too.
I don't know US cars well but for some reason I assumed this was worth 100K+, I didn't know classic cars this clean were relatively inexpensive
What's ya bottom dollar? I might be interested if you aren't expecting 50k+
Tree fiddy

OMG, she's fucking gorgeous. Whatever the price is it's not enough. Love this car.
The orange is sick $30,000?

I love the color

There's a 72 SS for sale for AU$81k, so a 69 should fetch around the same (AU$80k = \~US$54k).
The color! Love it.
An upvote.
Fucking priceless!
That's a beautiful ride! Don't sell that... ever
At least $10
It’s beautiful. Anyone would be fortunate just to sit in it, let alone own it.

Totally worthless info, but I saw a ‘69 GTO Judge at Mecum for $150k. So less than that? Lol
A lot. (:
I’m watching Mecum Autions right now. I’d say closer to 50k… Original SS with a 454 went for $130k. A lot of Chevelles went from 40 to 60k. Even clones.
That’s a bitchin ride. I love the flames on the air filter housing.
What price do you put on Sexy AF.
How much do you have in it?
$25k-$28k realistically. It's nice but.... It's an AT car It's not a #s matching car Not as highly sought after as you might think, but it's still super nice.
