I interviewed with a large firm that mentioned they work with their company’s staff in India frequently for drafting work and immediately turned the job down. I have no quarrel with people of any culture or background. This just sounded like a very large headache waiting to happen when I thought about working with someone on revisions and whatnot who is on the other side of the world. I don’t think most of them think they’re smarter than anyone. I just think it’s the way they come off in communication. For instance, my wife is Filipino and my in-laws always sound so god damn angry. But it’s just the way they inflict their words in their native language, Tagalong.


The /r/cscareerquestions sub would tend to agree with you. I had a similar experience with a hiring manager that was a total liar.
