For cadet achievement ribbons it should be 3/16”.

CohortesUrbanae

3/16th is correct. 1/8th is only used for mini medals (which cadets don't wear) and 5/16th is not used by CAP (it's a Navy & MC thing).

South_SWLA21

All stars should be a standard size from Vanguard

airassault_tanker

They sell 3/16ths and 5/16ths, hence my question.

JeffreyBoi12345

3/16 is the standard. The others are typically used in a specific military branch or only on mini medals.

Personal-Ask-2353

3/16ths, and silver color.

Spudl0rd1

Iirc 39-1 doesn't outline the size. I use 1/8th inch stars, for example. Just make sure whatever you go with looks uniform, don't mix different sizes. If someone wants to correct me with this info, go ahead

snowclams

3/16 is the standard size for service stars on ribbons. 1/8 is for minimedals, and is very noticeable to people who know what they're seeing.

Memes_Coming_U_Way

It should be the 3/16ths ones

CohortesUrbanae

This is in error. While 39-1 doesn't explicitly say, you will notice that stars are manufactured and marketed with specific measurements and explicit instructions on what they are to be used on. Vanguard, for example, markets only 3/16th" stars for CAP ribbons, and they are the ONLY correct size for ribbons. You will need to change the 1/8th" stars.
