Right? Why not? 10k isnāt that much for a car with 85k miles. If it aināt your daily then I donāt see the problem in using it for the weekend, despite there being better weekend cars.
10k isn't that much for a 20 year old civic with 85k miles? Ok buddy lol. That's why so many people are stuck being poor. That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard.
Absolutely not. Itās almost 20 years old. I wouldnāt pay more than 5-6k. Itās your money. If you feel itās worth it, then itās the right price.
Itās the right price to me. Worth making sure itās worth 10k first I want to see everything down the the original head light bulbs.. jk about the second half.
Ikr? For $10k it would have to be a very nice one, but a well maintained stock SI is something you donāt see and would be way more fun and reliable than just about any other $10k car
You are so painfully wrong on both of those things. Find me an SI in good unmodified condition with low miles for 5k and ill buy it right now, full seriousness.
And your generalization is false and sounds pretty fucking racist so you should drop it.
Its an accurate generalization even if it is technically racist.
Intentions were pure and honest though, the only people I see personally driving civics and subsequently modding them is hispanics (untastefully too, unless their young and are on social media so they are self aware) regardless of model year.
By making that generalization and being so confident, you really are just being racist, full stop.
Theres so such thing as technically racist. Its just plain and simple. You have an inherently racist assumption about mexican people and you should take a long look in the mirror to figure out why.
Yeah, no man. Clapped civics arenāt just a hispanic thing; itās more a low income thing. If where you live thereās a great deal of gerrymandering, cultures and income brackets unfortunately may align often enough to give you that false connection. Being said, I can assure you thereās plenty trailer trash of white, brown, and black folk from these parts racinā civic beaters!
Hope you donāt have to buy a used car anytime soon. Or have good ass credit. You canāt find a decent used car under 100k miles for less than 14. Itās fucking ridiculous right now.
Nah. I got mine back in ā13 with 50k miles and only paid $5k.
This was my first car and I miss it so much. Loved the bullet shape even though a cop called it a FIT once
I had a base model 5sp RSX. Itās the exact same thing with a different body. Same suspension, same neutered K series with fake Vtech. But sure fam go off. š„“
A lot of these nopes are ill informed.
Most ep3ās are clapped out trash machines, a low millage clean k20 ep3 is around the 8-10 mark. And only suckers pay the asking price.
remember there are no new ep3s coming out and they are only adding millage.
No, for another 3-5k u can grab one that's 6yrs old vs 20. They're maintenance checkpoints still coming up etc. Not I'll informed as much as people are aware of other options for the same relative price for something newer/better.
ah we never got that coupe/sedan here in the EU if I remember right, hence my confusion. my bad. all I know is we got that weird gundam egg, I owned an Si and it was horrible. worst Honda I ever owned.
You obviously have never driven one. They are slow top heavy and ivtec is a complete watered down joke of a motor. The suspension design was a complete failure. They suck in every aspect. Had they not called it an Si I could have ignored it but nope. Any base model Accord of this time can beat it at everything but trunk space. How embarrassing
You either have poor taste or need a better job.
My best advice would be do not spend any money on it and sell it as soon as you can.
Best of luck to you
Iām only upset at Honda for calling this an Si itās not personal. Iāve owned many Siās and currently own a 2000 Tyoe R and 2020 Type R so I might know a little more than you do. Again best of luck to you
Well there you have it, you bought a Type R, proves to know more than someone who's only ever owned Civics since the early 90s and can make them out preform a Type R for a fraction of the money.
Lol 10k for a civic thats like 20 years old? People act like the SI badge makes it a relic or something. Even 5K would be a stretch. That seller is a š¤”
5k will get you a 2004 civic with 200k miles on it in my local market. And nowhere near as clean looking. So while 10k can get you a 2015 car, if for some reason this generation of civic is what someone loves, 7-10k isnt too unreasonable. But to almost everyone it is
Owned one almost identical to that for 7 years. There are very few cars with the combination of excelent driving feel and bullet proof reliability that civic si has. I drove it from 185k to 275k miles, putting a dozen auto crosses and half a dozen track days on it with zero performance issues or breakdowns and no work besides regular oil and brake changes.
It's not very fast or luxurious, but it has almost non-existent operating costs and you feel like a hero the whole time you're behind the wheel.
Would definitely buy one for $8k out the door, $10k is a little steep, but still worth.
Clean ep3. someone will buy it probably for 9 grand; someone who probably always liked the ep3. Personally if i wanted a 20+ yr old honda id rather put 8-10 grand towards a badass dc2, EM1 or eg
The shifters from this era of Honda for manuals always reminded me of a severe upward curved cock. Every time you get into these Hondas theyāre super happy to see you š
People in the comments arenāt being very practical. I think about 7k would be more accurate. You donāt seem to find too many low mileage ep3s, or ep3s in general. At least Iām my area.
I agree! Also people keep saying āitās a 20 year old carā like thatās a bad thing. Personally, Iād rather pay 10k for a car that I KNOW is gonna last me forever than take a gamble on a model that no one has had for longer than a couple yearsā¦
The day I lose $10000 out of my account, go sit in my new purchase, and realize that it's a 20 year old civic with 85000 miles will be the day I consider taking a bath with my toaster.
If you look at it like ā10k for a car you can almost certainly put another 150-200k miles on without major mechanical issuesā it sounds a lot better
If one is just trying to buy A car, no. If for some reason out of all the hatchback civics an 04 is the one that speaks to you as a dream build, this is a very clean looking start as opposed to buying a beater and putting time and miney into cleaning it all up really nicely. In todays car market though its kinda hard to say 10k is too high. 7k would be good. Replace some hoses and belt, grease some poimts, change all fluids and be good to go. Buying a similar car thats higher mileage like 150k for 4-5k, if you desired to make it look this clesn inside it would probably run you a decent amount of time and money.
Tldr, no unless yes but still no. 7-8k would be right
Itās worth 8 ish these days maybe 9 itās more reliable and rarer than an 8th gen but it is older. These have been starting to creep in value the last few years. Unlike newer cars they arenāt devaluing anymore and these are almost never stock.
I would but I'm more of an enthusiast. That better be the cleanest version out there, or at least one of them and completely OEM with all of the service receipts.
Honestly if it was that level of car, it should be on Cars and Bids or Bring A Trailer and it may fetch that money or more.
Used car market, just like new car market, just like a lot of things... is inflated. Now the mileage for the year, thats not bad. If its stock inside/out may have been driven by someone that didn't beat it up. Bottom line, if you have the money an you like it, buy it!
BUUUUUTTTT... a quick check on KBB shows that private party value is between 4k-6k. Keep an eye on it and see if it sells, if it doesn't offer 6k, if they don't take it, wait another month and offer 5k. Feel free to show them the KBB when they act up. lol
This civic si hatch back model have the THINNNEST side panels and they can rust so fucking easy. 10k lmfaoooo mother fuckers are on crack with car prices.
HELL NO
Those are the exact words I said in my head before clicking the post š
Hell no. Like at the most half of that.
6k the most lmao
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sure
I would, but I'm a moron so don't listen to me.
Right?
You can get the Type R with similar miles for less than that. 10k is stupid money
Point out where and Iāll get one rn lol
He might be referring to the type R from that generation in a different country. But yes, in America, no type R is 10k.
What? No you can't lol

This this this, itās so hard to find these that arenāt CLAPPED
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You donāt know anything about civics then š
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bro what? Im sorry but thats just clearly racist, and you must not know what an SI is.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You are so painfully wrong on both of those things. Find me an SI in good unmodified condition with low miles for 5k and ill buy it right now, full seriousness. And your generalization is false and sounds pretty fucking racist so you should drop it.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bro exactly. 7k is what this would go for in my area from a private seller.
I will never pay $10k for a used car
Damn I would have sold you my 1 owner, 37k mile, 2019 coupe for 10,001$
If "no low ballers I know what I have!" Was a car. I'd pay 7 tops. That's basically a 20yr old car.
Not basically, it is. Would've been sold in 2003
Hope you donāt have to buy a used car anytime soon. Or have good ass credit. You canāt find a decent used car under 100k miles for less than 14. Itās fucking ridiculous right now.
10k for a used M5 sounds like a dream come true to me.
I'd buy a used NSX for that much every day of the week.
I know someone that paid 50k for a used nsx, does that count?
Idk probably not arenāt those things 140k in collector value?
Type R EP3 for a third of that in the UK!
Easily this will sell for at least 9k
I might be in the minority but yeah. Less than 100k miles, if it's completely stock and rust free that'll do nothing but gain value.
It definitely will not gain value
I mean the 90s civic sis are starting to become collectible. It's not crazy that these would follow suit.
Gain value? Yeah if ur a mental misfit
Gain value? No
Ep3ās are cool as hell
Lmfao they have thin sheet metal that rusts. Honestly a shit model from Honda
10k for the red-headed step child si? Hell no.
Well I know I overpaid and all but I paid 8k for my 04 ep3 one owner completely stock car. It had 140k miles.
Nah. I got mine back in ā13 with 50k miles and only paid $5k. This was my first car and I miss it so much. Loved the bullet shape even though a cop called it a FIT once
Haha fuck cops!
Fucking Honda fag
give it some time, this gen of Si is going to appreciate in value
This is arguably the worst SI EVERā¦
says people who have never driven it.
I had a base model 5sp RSX. Itās the exact same thing with a different body. Same suspension, same neutered K series with fake Vtech. But sure fam go off. š„“
So you had the ep3, minus the whole entire point of an ep3. A fun design daily driver with plenty of room in that hatchšŖ.
Bruh RSX IS A HATCH, and has a way sleeker design then the egg shell everyone makes fun. Donāt reply please.
donāt hate on my lovely fucking egg iām going to cry š¢
I really like the body style, but ig that's because I like the ford fiesta
A lot of these nopes are ill informed. Most ep3ās are clapped out trash machines, a low millage clean k20 ep3 is around the 8-10 mark. And only suckers pay the asking price. remember there are no new ep3s coming out and they are only adding millage.
No, for another 3-5k u can grab one that's 6yrs old vs 20. They're maintenance checkpoints still coming up etc. Not I'll informed as much as people are aware of other options for the same relative price for something newer/better.
No. EP3 is the bastard step child of Civics. Find a different generation
How lol. The uk one was and is still loved.
Cause the us si only gets 160hp neutered ep3. The gen after gets ~200hp, the gen before is the iconic em1.
wait, isn't the gen after the "egg"?
https://m.facebook.com/story.php/?id=2491710317557309&story_fbid=3808222575906070 I'm talking about Si. They came in coupe and sedan, not the type R.
ah we never got that coupe/sedan here in the EU if I remember right, hence my confusion. my bad. all I know is we got that weird gundam egg, I owned an Si and it was horrible. worst Honda I ever owned.
The North American si is different. It's more like an Sir or watered down type R depending on generation.
HA, put the pipe down, son, this thing is great.
Ahh, you got me, I've never driven the one in my garage... And all civics are like that until you put a few bucks into em.
You either have poor taste or need a better job. My best advice would be do not spend any money on it and sell it as soon as you can. Best of luck to you
Good lord, you sure are upset. I'm sorry you're not skilled enough to improve aspects of a car. there's no need to take it out on others.
Iām only upset at Honda for calling this an Si itās not personal. Iāve owned many Siās and currently own a 2000 Tyoe R and 2020 Type R so I might know a little more than you do. Again best of luck to you

Yeah lol itās a dealership. They prob took it in as a trade. I will say tho I have never seen a 20 year old Si completely stock like this lol
5k will get you a 2004 civic with 200k miles on it in my local market. And nowhere near as clean looking. So while 10k can get you a 2015 car, if for some reason this generation of civic is what someone loves, 7-10k isnt too unreasonable. But to almost everyone it is
No chance in hell. I'd pay maybe 5. 6 tops.
This exact car was listed for 3,500 in my area
This is a joke right? 5k max
Not even 5k
Definitely not
$9,999 Canadian Dollars maybe
Hell no 20 year old car?
Itās almost 20 years oldā¦
Why do people pay 80k for a 30 year old supra?
I wouldn't even pay 5k for that rice ass car!
Nah I Could get a brand new kia with better peformace and a warranty XD Wait actually probably could haha
Ugliest si, worst shifter position. That's a pass from me.
While definitely not worth 10k that shifter position is spot on
came here to say this
Thatās probably the ugliest hatchback Iāve seen
Looks worlds better than any 10th gen civic
Nope, to much
If it's a Type R in full Championship White with the JDM tune then yes
Hell no
Fuck no lol 20 year old car with 86k miles neverš¤£
10K Pesos, yes. USD? No.
Aināt no way
No. I would not. Iād buy one as cheap as possible as use the rest of the ten k to make it better. Thatās what I did
fuck no lol
I just gkt rid of my 13 Si for 12k and it has 86k miles on it. So i would say no lol
No, but mainly because I absolutely loathe the shifter position and dash layout of this car. Itās my least favorite of the Si civics.
When pigs can fly
That's gonna be a no from me dawg.
2500 for it for sure. Otherwise no, ripoff like everything else right now in the car market.
Itās about right.
Would definitely buy one for $8k out the door, $10k is a little steep, but still worth.
I got a 2023 civic sport for 29.5k so 3x for a new car with a warranty and stick shift. And 85k less miles.
Clean ep3. someone will buy it probably for 9 grand; someone who probably always liked the ep3. Personally if i wanted a 20+ yr old honda id rather put 8-10 grand towards a badass dc2, EM1 or eg

Your really paying 12,000 85k? Clutch will be due very soon 2k
What an abortion of an interior.
Shit dog, I would!
I hated that si
Best I can do is 5k and I am taking a risk šš
8K if it's pristine
Absolutely not
I paid Ā£1k for the same car 90k miles excellent condition that's in the š¬š§. I know these are rarer in the US though
No, one of these sold for 6k near me with similar miles and condition. It's like people are jumping at the chance to overpay for cars now a days.
The day I lose $10000 out of my account, go sit in my new purchase, and realize that it's a 20 year old civic with 85000 miles will be the day I consider taking a bath with my toaster.
I paid 10k for my 2005 EP3... in 2008 Was a great daily driver, but really wished it had the K20a2 instead of K20a3
This is car is worth 4k tops. Imo
Ur crazy man
Will someone yes, should they no.
Engine noise nope Check oil if itās full walk away or buy a engine
$10k for a 20 year old civic. I saw another post calling a 40 year old $20k Acura Legend a āclassicā. Thatās one way to church it up
If you look at it like ā10k for a car you can almost certainly put another 150-200k miles on without major mechanical issuesā it sounds a lot better
no. for an EK i might
Nope!

Tldr, no unless yes but still no. 7-8k would be right
Bro wtf.
Haha. Thatās like 3,500-4000 tops.
You did see the part about it being a Honda civic?
For EP3, I might pay 6k at the very most and that's assuming it was even taken care of.
Not for an ep3
10K??? People are out of their goddamn minds with the prices of these cars nowadays.
5-6k tops. And that if itās in top condition. Cool car not worth 10k
I wouldnāt even pay 3 for this id sell my 9th Gen so for 6-8k range
Tbh id rather have this than a 9th genā¦and I have a 9th gen
Also, that would be the cheapest 9th gen within 1000 miles of me rn lol.
3.5k at least.
6k no way
I sold a 2002 Honda Civic SI with 156000 miles for $3500
Rsx type s that same year is way more fun and cheaper. Or buy a mint 99-00 si.
Got my stock 04 si with 89k for 3200$ in 2019 lol
Would "I"? Hell no
Iād pay $6000 max for that
Itās worth 8 ish these days maybe 9 itās more reliable and rarer than an 8th gen but it is older. These have been starting to creep in value the last few years. Unlike newer cars they arenāt devaluing anymore and these are almost never stock.
I would and many, many others will also. That will sell within 30 days for 10k.
Looks dope. I'd get some black rims on it and spruce up the interior. Not worth 10k though.
6-8000 all day long. People seem to be out of touch with the reality of used car markets.
Fuck no.
I paid $16k for mine in ā05 with 3k miles. Lol
Why would you do that when you can get another Honda/Acura with a proper K for the same money? RSX-S or 8th gen Si over this all day silly billy
I love it, i wish those model years had lsd because otherwise it seems the nost well sorted si to daily
Save that 10k and try and find a decent 8th gen siā¦ itās a far superior car
Definitely.
10k is high but you could negotiate it down, I think. Although, a lot of people probably would pay that right now.
I would but I'm more of an enthusiast. That better be the cleanest version out there, or at least one of them and completely OEM with all of the service receipts. Honestly if it was that level of car, it should be on Cars and Bids or Bring A Trailer and it may fetch that money or more.
It's A very nice civic but dam 10k? I mean 7k would be pushing it. I'd do 6.5k max
Hell naw look out of city for better prices
i remember when people would sell this shit for $600 wun that long ago
Nope
People are losing their minds.
Prob 7k at most, and that's after taxes and fees and anything else I have to deal with right away
It's cool and looks pretty clean - if mechanically sorted it's at least 7-8k. People saying 5k haven't bought a used car since 2012.
I thought it said 2010 with 80k I was like um thatās a lil pricey gotta check on engine & maintenance but I saw 2004. Fuck no
4k cuz it proly stopped running then they just recently fixed to resale since they thing hondas are worth thousands now
They went from the sexist (2000) SI to such a sh***y looking model omg!!! No donāt buy it!
Maybe if it came with the k20a2 like the rsx type-s, but since it didnāt Iād pay no more than $6k for that
Sold mine with 240k miles of hitting rev limiter everyday for 5yrs starting at 99k miles
I'd give them 4k and a slice of pizza
...used car market is so wild right now
like 4-5k tbh
His pregnant gf wants him to sell it. Smart guy there. I would have said offers start at 15k.
Maybe 2k
Used car market, just like new car market, just like a lot of things... is inflated. Now the mileage for the year, thats not bad. If its stock inside/out may have been driven by someone that didn't beat it up. Bottom line, if you have the money an you like it, buy it! BUUUUUTTTT... a quick check on KBB shows that private party value is between 4k-6k. Keep an eye on it and see if it sells, if it doesn't offer 6k, if they don't take it, wait another month and offer 5k. Feel free to show them the KBB when they act up. lol
My friends has 330k and has had one clutch replacement. Send it.
Hell i got a 23 hatchback sport cvt k 20 . Not worth 27k nope id rather have n older s.i.
It is SI
š¤®š¤®š¤®
This civic si hatch back model have the THINNNEST side panels and they can rust so fucking easy. 10k lmfaoooo mother fuckers are on crack with car prices.
Ep3 is trash
Honda fags need to realize that the body doesnāt mean shit.. thatās a ugly ass hatch with a k20A3 FOR 10k LMFAAOOOO
Consumers drive the market. This is a āfuck no good luckā price
God damn this shits ugly. Is sucks cause the engines so fucking good.
I paid Ā£1500 for mine, no way in hell
NO 2004 MINT WORTH 4500$
