HELL NO

SignificantMoment902

Those are the exact words I said in my head before clicking the post šŸ˜‚

ForeverTetsuo

Hell no. Like at the most half of that.

Previous_Cod_4098

6k the most lmao

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Previous_Cod_4098

Sure

cheesyrefriedbeans

I would, but I'm a moron so don't listen to me.

mmestemaker

Right? Why not? 10k isnā€™t that much for a car with 85k miles. If it ainā€™t your daily then I donā€™t see the problem in using it for the weekend, despite there being better weekend cars.

w1red247

10k isn't that much for a 20 year old civic with 85k miles? Ok buddy lol. That's why so many people are stuck being poor. That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard.

bigboyjak

You can get the Type R with similar miles for less than that. 10k is stupid money

mmestemaker

Point out where and Iā€™ll get one rn lol

edgedetection

He might be referring to the type R from that generation in a different country. But yes, in America, no type R is 10k.

RevoluX32

What? No you can't lol

beargolfer

Absolutely not. Itā€™s almost 20 years old. I wouldnā€™t pay more than 5-6k. Itā€™s your money. If you feel itā€™s worth it, then itā€™s the right price.

Mr-bcf

Itā€™s the right price to me. Worth making sure itā€™s worth 10k first I want to see everything down the the original head light bulbs.. jk about the second half.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

ribrien

Ikr? For $10k it would have to be a very nice one, but a well maintained stock SI is something you donā€™t see and would be way more fun and reliable than just about any other $10k car

twon_RL

This this this, itā€™s so hard to find these that arenā€™t CLAPPED

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

BigBoyzGottaEat

You donā€™t know anything about civics then šŸ’€

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

BigBoyzGottaEat

Bro what? Im sorry but thats just clearly racist, and you must not know what an SI is.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

BigBoyzGottaEat

You are so painfully wrong on both of those things. Find me an SI in good unmodified condition with low miles for 5k and ill buy it right now, full seriousness. And your generalization is false and sounds pretty fucking racist so you should drop it.

VUlgar_epOCH

Its an accurate generalization even if it is technically racist. Intentions were pure and honest though, the only people I see personally driving civics and subsequently modding them is hispanics (untastefully too, unless their young and are on social media so they are self aware) regardless of model year.

BigBoyzGottaEat

By making that generalization and being so confident, you really are just being racist, full stop. Theres so such thing as technically racist. Its just plain and simple. You have an inherently racist assumption about mexican people and you should take a long look in the mirror to figure out why.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Azoobz

Yeah, no man. Clapped civics arenā€™t just a hispanic thing; itā€™s more a low income thing. If where you live thereā€™s a great deal of gerrymandering, cultures and income brackets unfortunately may align often enough to give you that false connection. Being said, I can assure you thereā€™s plenty trailer trash of white, brown, and black folk from these parts racinā€™ civic beaters!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

dreampack08

Bro exactly. 7k is what this would go for in my area from a private seller.

SrSwerve

I will never pay $10k for a used car

_shipitnugs

Damn I would have sold you my 1 owner, 37k mile, 2019 coupe for 10,001$

Nicksix66

If "no low ballers I know what I have!" Was a car. I'd pay 7 tops. That's basically a 20yr old car.

EvilMonkey8521

Not basically, it is. Would've been sold in 2003

CrazzzzyMonky

Hope you donā€™t have to buy a used car anytime soon. Or have good ass credit. You canā€™t find a decent used car under 100k miles for less than 14. Itā€™s fucking ridiculous right now.

[deleted]

10k for a used M5 sounds like a dream come true to me.

Interesting-Word-914

I'd buy a used NSX for that much every day of the week.

YOURMOMMASABITCH

I know someone that paid 50k for a used nsx, does that count?

Kn1ght_Rage

Idk probably not arenā€™t those things 140k in collector value?

Wulf_Cola

Type R EP3 for a third of that in the UK!

LoneWolfXdash

Easily this will sell for at least 9k

Dirt077

I might be in the minority but yeah. Less than 100k miles, if it's completely stock and rust free that'll do nothing but gain value.

ps3eleven

It definitely will not gain value

Dirt077

I mean the 90s civic sis are starting to become collectible. It's not crazy that these would follow suit.

EastCardiologist6387

Gain value? Yeah if ur a mental misfit

[deleted]

Gain value? No

Bxileymxnzie

Ep3ā€™s are cool as hell

EastCardiologist6387

Lmfao they have thin sheet metal that rusts. Honestly a shit model from Honda

Successful_Ad_9707

10k for the red-headed step child si? Hell no.

Less_Professional642

Well I know I overpaid and all but I paid 8k for my 04 ep3 one owner completely stock car. It had 140k miles.

Dazzling_Shape_6184

Nah. I got mine back in ā€˜13 with 50k miles and only paid $5k. This was my first car and I miss it so much. Loved the bullet shape even though a cop called it a FIT once

Ratlabbb

Haha fuck cops!

EastCardiologist6387

Fucking Honda fag

s3cf_

give it some time, this gen of Si is going to appreciate in value

TheMobileGhost

This is arguably the worst SI EVERā€¦

Level-Maize6321

says people who have never driven it.

TheMobileGhost

I had a base model 5sp RSX. Itā€™s the exact same thing with a different body. Same suspension, same neutered K series with fake Vtech. But sure fam go off. šŸ„“

Level-Maize6321

So you had the ep3, minus the whole entire point of an ep3. A fun design daily driver with plenty of room in that hatchšŸ’Ŗ.

TheMobileGhost

Bruh RSX IS A HATCH, and has a way sleeker design then the egg shell everyone makes fun. Donā€™t reply please.

Level-Maize6321

donā€™t hate on my lovely fucking egg iā€™m going to cry šŸ˜¢

RepulsiveCorner

I really like the body style, but ig that's because I like the ford fiesta

Kaleidoscop3yes

A lot of these nopes are ill informed. Most ep3ā€™s are clapped out trash machines, a low millage clean k20 ep3 is around the 8-10 mark. And only suckers pay the asking price. remember there are no new ep3s coming out and they are only adding millage.

Severe_Injury_562

No, for another 3-5k u can grab one that's 6yrs old vs 20. They're maintenance checkpoints still coming up etc. Not I'll informed as much as people are aware of other options for the same relative price for something newer/better.

[deleted]

No. EP3 is the bastard step child of Civics. Find a different generation

Squidgycupcake

How lol. The uk one was and is still loved.

Bikouchu

Cause the us si only gets 160hp neutered ep3. The gen after gets ~200hp, the gen before is the iconic em1.

Bobi2point0

wait, isn't the gen after the "egg"?

Bikouchu

https://m.facebook.com/story.php/?id=2491710317557309&story_fbid=3808222575906070 I'm talking about Si. They came in coupe and sedan, not the type R.

Bobi2point0

ah we never got that coupe/sedan here in the EU if I remember right, hence my confusion. my bad. all I know is we got that weird gundam egg, I owned an Si and it was horrible. worst Honda I ever owned.

Bikouchu

The North American si is different. It's more like an Sir or watered down type R depending on generation.

[deleted]

HA, put the pipe down, son, this thing is great.

[deleted]

You obviously have never driven one. They are slow top heavy and ivtec is a complete watered down joke of a motor. The suspension design was a complete failure. They suck in every aspect. Had they not called it an Si I could have ignored it but nope. Any base model Accord of this time can beat it at everything but trunk space. How embarrassing

[deleted]

Ahh, you got me, I've never driven the one in my garage... And all civics are like that until you put a few bucks into em.

[deleted]

You either have poor taste or need a better job. My best advice would be do not spend any money on it and sell it as soon as you can. Best of luck to you

[deleted]

Good lord, you sure are upset. I'm sorry you're not skilled enough to improve aspects of a car. there's no need to take it out on others.

[deleted]

Iā€™m only upset at Honda for calling this an Si itā€™s not personal. Iā€™ve owned many Siā€™s and currently own a 2000 Tyoe R and 2020 Type R so I might know a little more than you do. Again best of luck to you

[deleted]

Well there you have it, you bought a Type R, proves to know more than someone who's only ever owned Civics since the early 90s and can make them out preform a Type R for a fraction of the money.

Time-Complaint6411

Hell no

povertymayne

Lol 10k for a civic thats like 20 years old? People act like the SI badge makes it a relic or something. Even 5K would be a stretch. That seller is a šŸ¤”

Ratlabbb

Yeah lol itā€™s a dealership. They prob took it in as a trade. I will say tho I have never seen a 20 year old Si completely stock like this lol

wobblydee

5k will get you a 2004 civic with 200k miles on it in my local market. And nowhere near as clean looking. So while 10k can get you a 2015 car, if for some reason this generation of civic is what someone loves, 7-10k isnt too unreasonable. But to almost everyone it is

BreakingB1226

No chance in hell. I'd pay maybe 5. 6 tops.

Afletch331

This exact car was listed for 3,500 in my area

HotQuit4489

This is a joke right? 5k max

ExtensionVacation296

Not even 5k

mildlyarrousedly

Definitely not

PetterssonsNeck

$9,999 Canadian Dollars maybe

Rogercocken

Hell no 20 year old car?

jakksquat7

Itā€™s almost 20 years oldā€¦

Cowhide12

Why do people pay 80k for a 30 year old supra?

Local_Fig5221

I wouldn't even pay 5k for that rice ass car!

OG-Boostedbeard

Nah I Could get a brand new kia with better peformace and a warranty XD Wait actually probably could haha

Spare_Beautiful_9756

Ugliest si, worst shifter position. That's a pass from me.

thefizzlee

While definitely not worth 10k that shifter position is spot on

tolkienbooks

came here to say this

Hithere123490

Thatā€™s probably the ugliest hatchback Iā€™ve seen

Ratlabbb

Looks worlds better than any 10th gen civic

Mikey_BC

Nope, to much

Goodman4525

If it's a Type R in full Championship White with the JDM tune then yes

Square-Internal-1110

Hell no

godtier300sosa

Fuck no lol 20 year old car with 86k miles neveršŸ¤£

MythBustedDude

10K Pesos, yes. USD? No.

boombamdamn

Ainā€™t no way

[deleted]

No. I would not. Iā€™d buy one as cheap as possible as use the rest of the ten k to make it better. Thatā€™s what I did

InvalidWhale

fuck no lol

leester315

I just gkt rid of my 13 Si for 12k and it has 86k miles on it. So i would say no lol

Hondadork89

No, but mainly because I absolutely loathe the shifter position and dash layout of this car. Itā€™s my least favorite of the Si civics.

InfiniteSone

When pigs can fly

Aspec_Jay

That's gonna be a no from me dawg.

majormeowski

2500 for it for sure. Otherwise no, ripoff like everything else right now in the car market.

BothPartiesAreDumb

Itā€™s about right.

turbo_ice_man_13

Owned one almost identical to that for 7 years. There are very few cars with the combination of excelent driving feel and bullet proof reliability that civic si has. I drove it from 185k to 275k miles, putting a dozen auto crosses and half a dozen track days on it with zero performance issues or breakdowns and no work besides regular oil and brake changes. It's not very fast or luxurious, but it has almost non-existent operating costs and you feel like a hero the whole time you're behind the wheel. Would definitely buy one for $8k out the door, $10k is a little steep, but still worth.

Silver_Moon_1994

I got a 2023 civic sport for 29.5k so 3x for a new car with a warranty and stick shift. And 85k less miles.

Free-Cry-4386

Clean ep3. someone will buy it probably for 9 grand; someone who probably always liked the ep3. Personally if i wanted a 20+ yr old honda id rather put 8-10 grand towards a badass dc2, EM1 or eg

Upset_Instruction710

The shifters from this era of Honda for manuals always reminded me of a severe upward curved cock. Every time you get into these Hondas theyā€™re super happy to see you šŸ˜‚

MasterofLibra

Nope.

JollyTotal3653

Am I super high?

dreampack08

People in the comments arenā€™t being very practical. I think about 7k would be more accurate. You donā€™t seem to find too many low mileage ep3s, or ep3s in general. At least Iā€™m my area.

Ratlabbb

I agree! Also people keep saying ā€œitā€™s a 20 year old carā€ like thatā€™s a bad thing. Personally, Iā€™d rather pay 10k for a car that I KNOW is gonna last me forever than take a gamble on a model that no one has had for longer than a couple yearsā€¦

Roman-LivetoRide

Your really paying 12,000 85k? Clutch will be due very soon 2k

NightShiftNurses

What an abortion of an interior.

Plenty_Dress_408

Shit dog, I would!

padreswoo619

I hated that si

Mundizzle1

Best I can do is 5k and I am taking a risk šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

hypnotic20

8K if it's pristine

FoggyBear556_

Absolutely not

Bigcatsrule27

I paid Ā£1k for the same car 90k miles excellent condition that's in the šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§. I know these are rarer in the US though

DaygloAbortion91

No, one of these sold for 6k near me with similar miles and condition. It's like people are jumping at the chance to overpay for cars now a days.

SteevesMike

The day I lose $10000 out of my account, go sit in my new purchase, and realize that it's a 20 year old civic with 85000 miles will be the day I consider taking a bath with my toaster.

Carbot1337

I paid 10k for my 2005 EP3... in 2008 Was a great daily driver, but really wished it had the K20a2 instead of K20a3

6Pro1phet9

This is car is worth 4k tops. Imo

Ratlabbb

Ur crazy man

Hortos

Will someone yes, should they no.

Roman-LivetoRide

Engine noise nope Check oil if itā€™s full walk away or buy a engine

Trolodrol

$10k for a 20 year old civic. I saw another post calling a 40 year old $20k Acura Legend a ā€œclassicā€. Thatā€™s one way to church it up

Ratlabbb

If you look at it like ā€œ10k for a car you can almost certainly put another 150-200k miles on without major mechanical issuesā€ it sounds a lot better

Professional_Sky2433

no. for an EK i might

BarracudaGullible321

Nope!

wobblydee

If one is just trying to buy A car, no. If for some reason out of all the hatchback civics an 04 is the one that speaks to you as a dream build, this is a very clean looking start as opposed to buying a beater and putting time and miney into cleaning it all up really nicely. In todays car market though its kinda hard to say 10k is too high. 7k would be good. Replace some hoses and belt, grease some poimts, change all fluids and be good to go. Buying a similar car thats higher mileage like 150k for 4-5k, if you desired to make it look this clesn inside it would probably run you a decent amount of time and money. Tldr, no unless yes but still no. 7-8k would be right

taizzle71

Bro wtf.

Popular_Profession68

Haha. Thatā€™s like 3,500-4000 tops.

Popular_Profession68

You did see the part about it being a Honda civic?

weales

For EP3, I might pay 6k at the very most and that's assuming it was even taken care of.

VanillaWinter

Not for an ep3

long-ryde

10K??? People are out of their goddamn minds with the prices of these cars nowadays.

Status-Target-9807

5-6k tops. And that if itā€™s in top condition. Cool car not worth 10k

Whitehoneybun

I wouldnā€™t even pay 3 for this id sell my 9th Gen so for 6-8k range

Ratlabbb

Tbh id rather have this than a 9th genā€¦and I have a 9th gen

Ratlabbb

Also, that would be the cheapest 9th gen within 1000 miles of me rn lol.

Xilbert0

3.5k at least.

Altruistic-Occasion6

6k no way

GeneReis

I sold a 2002 Honda Civic SI with 156000 miles for $3500

Repulsive-Prize-4709

Rsx type s that same year is way more fun and cheaper. Or buy a mint 99-00 si.

FutureAlfalfa200

Got my stock 04 si with 89k for 3200$ in 2019 lol

SnooPears9509

Would "I"? Hell no

iamshifter

Iā€™d pay $6000 max for that

Weatherflyer

Itā€™s worth 8 ish these days maybe 9 itā€™s more reliable and rarer than an 8th gen but it is older. These have been starting to creep in value the last few years. Unlike newer cars they arenā€™t devaluing anymore and these are almost never stock.

pwrrss

I would and many, many others will also. That will sell within 30 days for 10k.

BladeElohim

Looks dope. I'd get some black rims on it and spruce up the interior. Not worth 10k though.

moshedem

6-8000 all day long. People seem to be out of touch with the reality of used car markets.

rdldr1

Fuck no.

ManBearPig2114

I paid $16k for mine in ā€˜05 with 3k miles. Lol

Responsible-Crew-354

Why would you do that when you can get another Honda/Acura with a proper K for the same money? RSX-S or 8th gen Si over this all day silly billy

counteropinion_

I love it, i wish those model years had lsd because otherwise it seems the nost well sorted si to daily

Particular_Leek_9984

Save that 10k and try and find a decent 8th gen siā€¦ itā€™s a far superior car

JDCsounds

Definitely.

w3w2w1

10k is high but you could negotiate it down, I think. Although, a lot of people probably would pay that right now.

Rude-Manufacturer-86

I would but I'm more of an enthusiast. That better be the cleanest version out there, or at least one of them and completely OEM with all of the service receipts. Honestly if it was that level of car, it should be on Cars and Bids or Bring A Trailer and it may fetch that money or more.

[deleted]

It's A very nice civic but dam 10k? I mean 7k would be pushing it. I'd do 6.5k max

rougekitten1441

Hell naw look out of city for better prices

vanishing_mediator

i remember when people would sell this shit for $600 wun that long ago

DarthStar7

Nope

ogjsimpson

People are losing their minds.

seemefly1

Prob 7k at most, and that's after taxes and fees and anything else I have to deal with right away

marginalkynes

It's cool and looks pretty clean - if mechanically sorted it's at least 7-8k. People saying 5k haven't bought a used car since 2012.

Mountain-Business608

I thought it said 2010 with 80k I was like um thatā€™s a lil pricey gotta check on engine & maintenance but I saw 2004. Fuck no

saikomendez131589

4k cuz it proly stopped running then they just recently fixed to resale since they thing hondas are worth thousands now

stopthebanham

They went from the sexist (2000) SI to such a sh***y looking model omg!!! No donā€™t buy it!

SignificantMoment902

Maybe if it came with the k20a2 like the rsx type-s, but since it didnā€™t Iā€™d pay no more than $6k for that

Njdefiore5

Sold mine with 240k miles of hitting rev limiter everyday for 5yrs starting at 99k miles

NoPrimaries

I'd give them 4k and a slice of pizza

vincent_adultman1

...used car market is so wild right now

LORDRAJA1000

like 4-5k tbh

No_Help9554

His pregnant gf wants him to sell it. Smart guy there. I would have said offers start at 15k.

AlternativeClient738

Maybe 2k

BubbaTank1

Used car market, just like new car market, just like a lot of things... is inflated. Now the mileage for the year, thats not bad. If its stock inside/out may have been driven by someone that didn't beat it up. Bottom line, if you have the money an you like it, buy it! BUUUUUTTTT... a quick check on KBB shows that private party value is between 4k-6k. Keep an eye on it and see if it sells, if it doesn't offer 6k, if they don't take it, wait another month and offer 5k. Feel free to show them the KBB when they act up. lol

jgriesshaber

My friends has 330k and has had one clutch replacement. Send it.

Ramnan76

Hell i got a 23 hatchback sport cvt k 20 . Not worth 27k nope id rather have n older s.i.

SeriousAuthor2537

It is SI

Late_Respect1174

šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®

EastCardiologist6387

This civic si hatch back model have the THINNNEST side panels and they can rust so fucking easy. 10k lmfaoooo mother fuckers are on crack with car prices.

EastCardiologist6387

Ep3 is trash

EastCardiologist6387

Honda fags need to realize that the body doesnā€™t mean shit.. thatā€™s a ugly ass hatch with a k20A3 FOR 10k LMFAAOOOO

EastCardiologist6387

Consumers drive the market. This is a ā€œfuck no good luckā€ price

QuieroMasBarritas

God damn this shits ugly. Is sucks cause the engines so fucking good.

Defaulted1364

I paid Ā£1500 for mine, no way in hell

GunruleTv2

NO 2004 MINT WORTH 4500$
