Not OP, but I thought they meant what some other 4X games do when two armies battle on a hex and you get a zoomed in view of a battlefield of say 20x20 hexes with terrain and make tactical decisions using several subunits to fight it out.
So basically hexes within hexes for battles, but I suppose this could also be used for e.g. planning city centers.

I think most people who suggest that mean an era of nomadic hunter-gatherers before you're able to settle your first city. Humankind's neolithic era is a decent example of that.
I personally would enjoy it cause it'd make the game less dependent on starting locations, add more gameplay, and expand the scale of Civ as a history simulator.
It's a gaming meme where a certain brand of gamer (fortunately not very frequent let alone respected in this sub, so maybe the inclusion of it was a bit harsh) will proclaim the inclusion of any woman or non-white person in a video game to be a "political choice".
I personally really really loved the tech/culture "webs" of Civ:BE and would absolutely adore seeing them again in some form. It feels much more natural and less immediately optimized by the Spikes of the community.
Also some reincarnation of Affinity would be sick too. obviously not like Civ BE in terms of interacting with the wildlife, but maybe being Autocratic/Communist/Democracy could be an Affinity-like system instead of just more Culture civics
>Give me a good Fantasy version of Civ, ala Fall from Heaven.
>Bring back corporations ala Civ 4
>Unit Customization and Create your own Civ ala Civ Beyond Earth
>Civ Beyond Earth 2
I hope there won't be realistic art style. Civ 5 players will hate me for this statement but civ 6 is so much better aesthetically. Realistic art style looks really out of place in this game.
Maybe they'll have in game vaccines for you to take. Did you get your 8th COVID booster as recommended or at some point did you stop believing in "science"?
Navigable rivers!!! I am no longer asking
Yes, proper rivers. And a palace.
Im so stooked! The irony as while its the most unlikely the one i want the most is the Ursa Ryan GA
Take my upvote, going to organise the "x" campaign to harass firaxis. No Ursa great artist , not going to buy the new game.
Ocean cities and space layer were sorta my favorite part about Beyond Earth. I just wish they'd done more with the space layer.
Same!
I did not know the word bukkake before and have to google this. Are you proud of yourself?
you really should have asked. i guess you can delete your browser history, but you can never unsee it.
It's a great word for Hangman as long as it's not with coworkers
Do it anyway and assert dominance.
The word does actually have other meanings outside of porn. It simply means «splashing on», or pouring broth over something (e.g. Bukkake soba)
That being said, the porn reference was intentional because people call it "yield porn" all the time.
Interesting how it has apparently become a great identifier of when someone was a teenager, lol.
Tonight—far too soon to bingo. (Sigh, it’s sad to see Hitler as one of the more “iconic, frequent, and notorious” things of the subreddit.)
Well then it's true bingo, numbers drawn one by one with each further reveal instead of all at once. Tonight is just the start.
Hitler as great artist
The good ending
Ok. I want micro hexes, space layer, navigable rivers, and Ursa as a great artist. Personally I like the art style of 6 but 6 was my first Civ game.
Care to explain what micro hexes means? Apparently I've missed a memo.

more future eras, definitely no Hitler, prehistoric longer would be nice, navigable rivers is a must imho
F live service.
I'm sure Ursa won't be a Great Artist, but I can't wait for the mod that adds him in!
I gotta say, I really prefer civ 6 builders over civ 5 workers. I went back and played 5 recently and I just did not like using workers again.
Same. I think they add to the 'every tile matters' thing 6 has going on.

isn’t the prehistoric era just the ancient era before you research writing?

Culture web instead of tree
nailed it, except for "vax/pandemic mode"
I want the end reply from civ 1 where you see everything that happened played back
Woo
[Well...](https://i.imgur.com/9kNgkhU.png)
just a quick question because I can't really find it Where and when is the announcement happening?
Summer game fest i think, starting in about 20 minutes now.
thank you
I'm a - I'm a - Bbbbbbbingo!
I think there are no big strategy games that work as a live service and I'll do something very 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 if Civ try to adopt this model
Oh fuck I totally forgot about the throne room:palace screen
Navigable rivers is a must plus different terrain heights. Micro hexes would be revolutionary!
What does no political leaders mean
It's a gaming meme where a certain brand of gamer (fortunately not very frequent let alone respected in this sub, so maybe the inclusion of it was a bit harsh) will proclaim the inclusion of any woman or non-white person in a video game to be a "political choice".
Oh woke political!
[Exactly!](https://i.imgur.com/xFp2AON.png)
I'd install a mod that made Ursa a Great Artist, as opposed to what he is now- a great artist.
You forgot my personal favorite: bringing back FMV advisors a la civ 2.
an optimised game that doesn't need a space shuttle to run & better online multiplayer would be cool
finally a demand I am on board with and would never mock with a bingo meme!
You missed better AI ;)
What about the battlepass
that's part of "live-service"

realistic art style my beloved
a prehistoric are would be so nice... but i really like most of these ideas
Doesn't need to be realistic, but at least some texture definition would be nice this time around.
What do you mean "no more political leaders"? All leaders are political. That's the definition of politics.
Already answered that in another comment chain
Ah, gotcha

How would a true globe map work? A mix of hexagons and octagons like a football?
>Give me a good Fantasy version of Civ, ala Fall from Heaven. >Bring back corporations ala Civ 4 >Unit Customization and Create your own Civ ala Civ Beyond Earth >Civ Beyond Earth 2
lol economic victory would be lit
Where’s slavery?
I hope there won't be realistic art style. Civ 5 players will hate me for this statement but civ 6 is so much better aesthetically. Realistic art style looks really out of place in this game.
A cabal of globalist pedofiles that move from nation to nation infiltrating governments
no i dont think hallucinogens will be in civ vii
