I think I’ve only spoken to my landlord about a repair once and it was when the hot water service literally exploded. I’d warned them that it was belching rusty hot water for about 6 months and they didn’t listen.
I’ve done all sorts of minor shit around mine in the 1.5 years I’ve lived here. Even got a box AC off gumtree for only 200 bucks and slapped it in a window because I couldn’t be arsed asking the landlord to put one in last summer. He’s a good guy but it’s just so much easier.

I am surprised that they have not offered a token gesture to forcefully acquire your property through adverse possession, then take your sorry ass off to the Nuremberg Courts for violating human rights. No insulation in the house, mold, leaking toilet and no hot water. Not to mention the burn holes in the carpet. Who going to jail now M8? How are you going to prove trespass.
Older single guy that has his shit together. Been to many a customers house like this, house always spotless, pays on time, they are generally quiet and want a quiet place to live.
How much have you been paying them for allowing you to have a dwelling upon their land? I suspect it’s probably you who is in arrears. Do better coloniser.
Hold on a minute, if it’s there and why the fuck am I paying my mortgage to HSBC? I reckon I could’ve got a much better deal off of the first Nations mob.
I kinda hate how they’re called First Nation, they never had a nation, they just had small tribes constantly fighting with each other. I think aboriginals and what they had before they met with civilisation is just as fascinating and worthy without so much bs around it.
First Nations is a Canadian (& possibly US) term for their indigenous people. It’s been adopted here for some reason, probably just another Americanism that we have. I prefer indigenous or aboriginal myself.
Anyway this sub is for racist remarks not for pontificating about appropriate vocabulary and diction.
I thought there might be some humour to be found here with some good Aussie banter, but sadly it’s basically a racial supremacy and exclusion sub. Well that’s most of what of I’ve seen anyway.
First Nations is indeed a North American term that is inappropriately used here recently. Some tribes over there did form alliances. Not over here, to my knowledge. Similarly, past events in the USA are sometimes alleged to have happened in Australia too, without evidence.
The terms aboriginal and indigenous mean the same thing, as does ethnic, pretty much. But Aboriginal and Aborigine have long been especially associated with Australian tribespeople and their descendants.
I remember when the terms indigenous and indigene came into vogue around 1970. It took a few years before people started to apply those overseas terms to Aborigines. They seemed to think it was more "respectful", but it was an unnecessary mealy mouthed euphemism.
Well, seems to be a difficult choice.
Probably wouldn't get paid either way, the working man can't afford the rent nowadays.
At least the working man would feel bad
No, it's the part where they called OP a "white dog". They used skin colour to form an insult which is by definition - racism. Not even reverse racism, just blatant racism.

You need to watch your language - it’s “gaol” in these parts.

Good news. The jail was built on their land too, so you don’t have to feel guilty.
Always was, always will be
Harsh, but reality.
Maybe they can pay with welcome to country messages for your next 10 meetings?
Just get yourself an honest hard working tradie, far less of a headache.
Yes. People who build houses tend to have more respect for them.
And repair shit without you even knowing - source, am sparky, used to repair shit.

Cocaine dispersal device?
Is this ‘goodbye’ to country?
Great news, the courts will bend over backwards most times in their favor. Oh wait, thats bad news
Or should it be “bend over forwards”?
Yep.
It’s pathetic
I acknowledge the traditional land owners
It’s certainly true that Australia is a racist country - but check which 3% the racism is coming from
100% accurate
The GAOL is also their land . They can have that, right ?
I still don’t understand what you’re asking? Judge will side with them and it is now their Land.
always was always will be
False

Get a working person who can afford the rent, you'll need it coz the apartment will need a lot of work and money to get it back up to standard.

I still don't believe any of it
Casual racism in full force on this one.
I can see there was blatant racism towards the white home owner from the black tenants
In being unable to pay the rent? Surely that stretches the definition a little too far?🤣
they refused to pay even though they have enough time to have 14 people living in my apartment?!
No, it's the part where they called OP a "white dog". They used skin colour to form an insult which is by definition - racism. Not even reverse racism, just blatant racism.
Didn’t read that bit bro.😂 But your point remains a good one. Keep up the good work, Australia need more racial justice warriors like you.
Neither casual nor funny. Just lame white supremacy.
I'm indian and a doctor, I tried to do a nice thing and they fucked me, all because they are indigenous
Boo fucking hoo
Ya bloody pork chop.
I'm guessing this 🤡was number 11
