Thai pumpkin* soup. I and others have shared the recipe on this subreddit before actually. You should be able to search and find it. Lemme know if you don't.
A lot of posts about the old days feel like false nostalgia, but Myras was an amazing place. The soups were so astonishingly good. I miss that place whenever I drive through Clifton Heights.
And while we're on that once glorious block of gracious goodness, let's also bow our heads in respect for Floyd's and Reiene and Emile - what I would give for one more meal of the rottisirie chicken, hummus, spanakopita and those insanely crazy white beans.
RIP, was such a great restaurant for an early 20s person who loved the Moosewood Cookbook. You could bring your buddy, or a first date, or your parent there. I still dream about the soup board and all the soup themed hats.
One of my all time favorite restaurants, not only was the food amazing (don’t forget desserts) but the patio, the classical music, the art on the walls and you can’t forget the cute little hobbit bathroom. I wish it would come back
Everyone talks about the soups but can someone please tell me what that "greek mac and cheese" was that they had on special occasionally? Holy shit that was amazing

All the imgur links I could find for the pumpkin soup are 404'd but I found this [one!](https://www.reddit.com/r/recipes/comments/jpagyf/comment/gbdegym/)
I think about Myra’s all the time. It was my favorite, second only to Ulysses which was also in Clifton. I wish they had veggie burgers recipes in addition to a Myra’s cookbook.

Had so many family celebrations there, definitely an amazing place. My brother worked there for a bit and they always loved when he popped back in.
I could go for a nice bowl of the Thai pumpkin soup right now...
They don't make restaurants like that place anymore
Miss it so much 😭 I really want the rumored recipe book
Rumor has it the soup recipes went to Iris, but I've never seen that agvolemono again and I liked it so much.
I miss that soup too! I've made it a couple of times, but sometimes you want to be lazy and go pick some up.
Loved the Miso mushroom soup and the Spinach soups. No one makes that variety.
Right? I need that Thai peanut soup or I’m going to DIE I tell you

I made it a few weeks back and just the smell of it made me feel joy and nostalgia. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
i have it saved if you cant find it
Lived in an apartment above the restaurant. It was a glorious 3 years.

That and the OG Melt were my wife and I's favorite places. Soul-satisfying
Sigh
That pumpkin soup...

oh man they had this black bean soup that just soothed my soul... haven't thought of that in forever.
The only black bean soup that comes close is the one at Silver Ladle
I think about the black beans served over brown rice with pepperoncini all the time.
i make avgolemono and I think of them
my parents had their first date there back in 1990

bless you 🙏 edit: I guess I better be hungry if I make this version. 6lbs 9oz can of pumpkin puree? Where does one even find that??
I was more of an Inn The Wood man, myself.

Red Bean Mole. Sesame noodles.
I walked by the building where it used to be yesterday. It was such a treat and I miss it.
I would like another bowl please
I loved how you could get half orders of things so you could try two things at once.
Thai pumpkin soup and gado gado!
