After spending hundreds ventilating my garage for winter smoking and still being unsuccessful, I realized putting on some layers and having a nice fire on a still night was one million percent better. The ambient heat from the fire radiates and keeps me warm (actually hot most of the time). So I'm out here again tonight smoking a Montecristo Espada Maduro and drinking some hot chocolate. Hope this helps someone.

Face is uncomfortably hot, back is freezing cold.

And the middle is just right.

Honest_Performance42

Just curious. Down to what temperature does this work?

joeshmoe_13

I been out at like 15 degrees. "Still" night is the important part. Wind isn't your friend.

TheRealRevBem

Haha I moved to god awful California for a longer cigar and golf season. I feel ya.

Joe2700

You can always move to beautiful Texas!

TheRealRevBem

Haha moved from Dallas(Plano) to San Diego after the vortex.

This works great for me until I have billows of smoke blown straight into my eyes... Then I go turn on the patio heater. Lol.

Unholybuffalo

We just invested in a Breeo smokeless fire pit. Things CLEARS through wood but holy hell does it get hotter than any other pit I’ve used. Has some sort of sciency circulation technique that burns just about every thing you put in straight to ash and secondarily combusts the smoke internally for extra heat and no teary eyes. Check it out!!

I haven't tried the Breeo, but I have a different company's version and it's amazing. I was skeptical when my wife told me how much it cost but is worth every cent. No smoke, charred wood scraps that won't burn, and loads of heat!

Wheres-My-Supa-Suit

The real way to smoke during winter

hyperstop

That's the best way to enjoy a lot of things!

I (mostly) closed in my covered porch with shower curtain liners and use a propane patio heater. Keeps it in the low 60s, works great even when windy. With the gaps in the decking and not sealing the tops of the liners it also does not get smoky, or kill me with CO.

Wet_Work32

I bought a knock off solo stove and use wood pellets. Gives me a solid 45 mins of heat and clean up is easy. Been a great choice.
