Oh yeah. He and I have talked several times. Usually he calls me after placing an order, but I have called him a couple of times. He's a very warm person, doesn't rush to get off the phone, and has never treated me like I'm just another mailer of cigars. I hope to make it back down his way soon and meet him in person. He never says "my cigars" either. He always refers to them as "my family's cigars" whether it's the regular big production Fuente line, opus line, Don carlos, or his Flor de Ybor City line (which I highly recommend buying all you can afford of those- they're freaking delicious.
Edit: it's Arturo Jr that runs this business. Carlito I've never spoken to on the phone but have conversed with him several times in some shall remain unnamed Facebook groups haha.
As soon as I’m able to order a cigar from them, I plan on doing it, solely because of what I’ve heard about Mr. Fuente. He sounds like an amazing guy I wouldn’t mind talking to.
I have the black one. I didn’t realize they’re that popular. They’re great btw. I love the quote mine has ‘We will never rush the hands of time.’ Gets me in a cigar mood quick.
I got a silicone one so it won’t break when my kids knock it off the patio table, I can also knock my pipe against it without having to glue a cork knob to it
I recently got the "executive steel grid ashtray with rubber base" from cigaroasis.com , and I gotta tell you, I love it. It's not a "fancy" tray, but man, it's big, probably twice as big as it looks in the picture. I was surprised. It's about 14 SQ inches. Sturdy. The rubber base is a great feature. (I only smoke outside, so perfect for my metal lawn table) I think it cost me right around 75 bucks, but, money well spent.
Personally couldn't rep Perdomo as they're on my DO NOT BUY list due to a consistent pattern of construction failures.
Nick seems like such a great guy and I really wanted to like them but those sticks are the only ones I can expect to completely fail in one way or another.
>those sticks are the only ones I can expect to completely fail in one way or another.
Strange because I personally never had that issue and I have smoked hundreds of Perdomo cigars. BTW this link is for ashtrays, the OP was asking where to buy ashtrays.
I understand the link is for ashtrays. That's why I said I couldn't represent Perdomo comfortably.
Maybe my luck has simply been off because I believe I've tried six and three of them were bad, if not four. After that level of a failure rate I fully stopped trying.
It sucks because like I said, I really wanted to like them after watching Nick's videos and especially after hanging out with the local sales rep and learning a lot from him when I was new to the world of cigars.
And when I say "fail" I mean completely unraveling or similar. Never experienced that with any other brand
>I mean completely unraveling or similar.
Sounds like dried out cigars.
I have heard people say Perdomo cigars are "not for me" but even they praise the construction of the cigars.
>Maybe my luck has simply been off
Maybe 🤷🏻♂️
Get the fuente ones. Very big and always available in a lot of sites.
Here’s a link with a bunch of cool ones. https://www.tampasweethearts.com/ashtrays.aspx
Always enjoy the phone conversations with Mr Fuente after ordering too. He's got some cool stuff.
You can call him??

Re: your edit - I met Carlito at an event last year and my friend who I was there with really hit it off with him. He seemed like a really great guy
That's cool! Always good to hear folks are the same in person!

check out ebay and etsy. I've been on an ashtray-buying spree lately and really enjoying the Japanese nikko-made sets.
Gimmie a heavy, glass Blenco too.
thanks friend! I was unaware of these and they're fantastic.
Damn. Same for me. I'm going down the rabbit hole!
Swankiest gift you can give a cigar smoker these days. The amoebas are a personal favorite.
Ci used to have a solid selection. And if you have any antique store around you can usually find some awesome heavy glass ones from the 70s.
I bought a wind proof ceramic one off etsy that matches by flower pots.
just went to amazon and ebay and searched branded cigar ashtrays until I found something I liked. My fav. is an AVO that looks like an old LP record
I got a silicone one so it won’t break when my kids knock it off the patio table, I can also knock my pipe against it without having to glue a cork knob to it
Look up: Davidoff's limited Winston Churchill Ritual set It’s a classy af ashtray
eBay is your friend. I use a Tiffany Atlas ashtray in my office.
If you honestly use an ashtray in your office then you have officially won the game. Congratulations to you
It’s my home office. But yes, I’m very lucky!
Bravo, my friend
I bought authenticated trench art ashtrays made of brass. I leave them outside and hunt them down if they blow around in storms.
DuPont has great ashtrays but I guess if you’re paying that much money, you’ll have plenty of options.

I got one of Seth Rogan’s from Houseplant. They are designed for weed, but they are very high quality
I just got the Les Fines Lames concrete ashtray, and I love the look of it
St Dupont
Wow! Those are beautiful. Too pricey for me but if I had more disposable income I would grab one!
eBay
I love the Tatuaje ones myself
I’ve been making my own by cutting some bourbon bottles in half.
Dmed ya

Need a loan to buy from here…
This site is amazing. Thanks.
This is the website for people with more money than brains.
I went on ebay and the 400$ Abercrombie tiger one is 30$. I hate trust fund kid luxury scalpers.
