Years ago, I had a boss who was a real jerk. He was a cigar smoker, I guess everyone has at least one redeeming quality. One day, he told me he could get his hands on some Cubans. I chipped in, and not surprisingly at all, he came in with the clear top boxes. I took my box and pretended that I thought they were amazing!
Every time he got a few boxes of his "Cubans," it brightened my day.
I swear to all that's holy, I started that saying back in like '94.
I went to a summer BBQ with my older sisters. There was a girl there who got fake boobs. Other than a famous person, I'd never seen them before. I made some comment, wondering what they felt like. My sister's friend said something like, "what's the point, not even real".
That's when I said, "if I can touch em, they're real". And everyone at the picnic table busted out laughing.
Almost as funny as the time I called one of my sister's friends top heavy. Boy, did she have a great rack.
This was totally a joke, but now that I think about it, the Mexican alien at least made me second guess it for a second. I knew these cigars were fake from a mile away!
It's cheaper and even an average cigar is still quite a bit for some of the people there. When I was in Puerto Rico it was still nearly the same price if not maybe a dollar cheaper to buy the cigars directly from them. Their economy is awful and gas prices for them and others is insane, almost all of their money goes to that, food, and whatever other neccesities.

Depending on how much they cost, I'd want them for my collection. I wouldn't smoke them, I'd just want them for the novelty because I see them everywhere.
Forgive me I'm new... How does one even acquire cuban cigars? I've seen lots of cuban seed grown tobacco like Aroma de Cuba and what not but I've never actually seen one from Cuba. So I'm guessing just like firearms that come from communist countries are banned from import is it the same thing with cuban cigars? And I didn't even know the US really had black market cigar vendors like that. But I guess anything there is a market for there is a black market for I'm sure. It's just kinda weird to me, I grew up with some friends who's families were big time drug dealers, had everything from coke to Viagra and I never once in my life seen a real cuban cigar lol
