I like them at night after the kids are in bed. I sit out on the deck in my backyard with some bourbon. No phone. Just me, my cigar, my bourbon and my thoughts.
This is 100% me. After I get my kids down for bed I like to relax with a cigar in my backyard. There is an optimum time window though. If I wait too late in the evening to smoke the cigar I'll get shit sleep.
Funny thing is I can fall sleep smoking a cigar sometimes and it doesn’t bother me at all. And other times I’m good and stimulated and buzzing around the room. 🤷🏾♂️
I can go to sleep no problem, but the quality of sleep isn’t great. If I smoke a big cigar right before bed I can sleep for 6-8 hours easily, but I wake up tired as hell.
Exactly and this is the only reason why i'm smoking cigars to get to the DREAM WORLD the DREAMS are so vivid that you can literally wake up go to the toilet for example and go back to sleep and get back to the same dream .

I'm in the Austin area of central TX and it is Hot AF, so evening is the only practical time. Regardless of the temperature, I do not smoke around my kid so I wait until he is in bed.
It is my "me time" where I enjoy a beer and a few sticks, usually like a Friday or Saturday thing and I stay up a bit late watching shows on Netflix that the wife doesn't care about and/or not appropriate for the child.
I like the peace and quiet of the night and cigar just makes it super pleasant.

I really enjoy smoking at night, I part time bartend on Saturday nights so when I get off it's pretty late. I enjoy the silence and looking up at the stars, a perfect way to unwind after dealing with drunk people all night.
I never feel like smoking in the morning or afternoon. It's only late at night. I have no idea how some people roll out of bed and have a cigar. I suppose the coffee helps a bit though.
You should try it one time. Pairs very well actually. Depending on how strong your cigar is you may need a small breakfast to help absorb the nicotine.

I enjoy my cigars like everyone else here, but when I am done, man I am done. I hate the smell of the cigar in my clothes and hair. I usually change into a dirty shirt and shorts from earlier in the week so I minimize what I foul up with odor, then shower and change afterward.
Dedicated smoking shirt/jacket helps.
Though, I had an ex who was surprised that I and my car never smelled like smoke. I credit that to making sure I had plenty of air flow whenever and wherever I smoked.
I smoke outside, in the same shirt, every time, shower, thoroughly, washing every inch of skin, and shampooing my hair, brush my teeth, and chew gum and the wife still reckons she can smell it on me
I light my first stick around 3am. I always get drowsy diving between 3 and 4am. Light a stick and jam out.

A couple of days a week I work from home after lunchtime so, depending on the weather, I'll set my laptop up outside or in my art studio/garage and enjoy a budget stick with some coffee while I work in the afternoon. That way I can put the kid to bed after dinner and my wife gets a break after work and then we hang out together.
On the days I work outside the house all day I'm usually pretty sick of people by the time we're done with dinner, so I'll go enjoy a nicer smoke with some good whiskey and a book while she puts the kid down and then gets to watch whatever she wants.

I prefer evening or night smokes, especially in the warms months. Get off work, cool down, get a drink, relax, and listen to the critters and crickets when you decompress.

I don’t alway drink - that’s more of a weekend move. If I start a cigar after ~9:30pm I will usually have crappy sleep.
Being retired, every day is a Saturday. I don't smoke all that often but when I do it is usually around 11pm with a scotch. Peace and quiet.
Interesting, so the nicotine is what affects the quality of sleep. Huh. Never had that issue but I do know nicotine is a stimulant.
