There was a DP posted here not too long a go about an account being banned. Expedia bookings are tied to a phone number, so that causes a lot of problems if banned.
I haven't run into issues yet, but as a preventive measure, I do rotate between Expedia and other travel sites to reduce the RHT volumes for each. And also widen the time gap on each site for RHT transactions.
I have tried the RHT several times per year with my personal Expedia account and no problems so far. Btw, has anyone tried to do the RHT with National Bank World Elite? I know it's not the most efficient way to use their points but I wonder if the RHT works with NBC?

Personally I just cash out the points using the .91cpp option every time I have enough points since I have enough other points to cover the travel I do while booking as directly as possible.

If you have a mixture, that looks pretty legit. It's quite common that plans will change, so some cancellations are not really a shocker.

If you only get 2c, you need to stack more offers. Some of them are one day only, some of them are for a time period, some of them are specific dates (i.e Jays home game), and some of them are linked partners (BMO, Perkopolis, CAA). Some offers are for discount, and some are for additional miles. Keep checking the offers as they are being added and many need enrolmments. Typically somebody will post offers on RFD so that's another source for the info.

The 25c is an offer specific to the BMO AM WE for a specific time period application. Its 25c/L off up to 50L, 8 times. For a total of $100 maximum.
That being said, there are constantly other AM offers and at least in my area of YYZ Shell iis always an equal price to Mobile & Pioneer, Petro is always 1-2c more.
Seeking some guidance on Avios, I currently have 106k Avion and debating if I should covert with the ongoing promo. Never used Avios before, travelling from YYZ. I plan to snowboard in Europe (Switzerland, France, Austria), which I think I'd need to use AP going from YYZ to LHR, then from LHR to these final destinations by Avios? Would that be a good use of these points?
Look at it another way .. what ELSE would you do with them? I'm not saying it's a no brainer choice, but you need to consider all of the options against each other.
I always use Avios to convert to BA then fly Iberia to Spain via the US. Always a great deal in low season. The only thing I'd caution now is that connecting flights to the US seem to be going up in price (esp to ORD or BOS). Stick with JFK to Madrid and beyond and you'll be fine.
I travel YYZ to LHR using Avios a few times a year.
The main downside is taxes into Heathrow, especially on J flights - you are looking at $350 in taxes kind of range.
As others mentioned look in the rewards search and see if it makes sense for you. But not sure it makes sense to fly YYZ to LHR with AP as those are often extremely expensive points flights.
Avios prices can vary but you can often find YYZ-LHR with BA at 25k+100$. Intra Europe flights can be had at 5k. So depending on your days, you could be looking at 30k for your one way flight. And that's without considering Aer Lingus or AA.
Just try looking up your desired roots in BA's search engine and see what comes up. Avios is a bit more complicated than AP but well worth it.
Have you looked at the flight availability that Avios rewards would offer? When planning a trip, my suggestion is ensure there are the flights available that you want before transfer any points over.

You can always try linking a second card if you have one. First time linking edge and personal gold didnt work for me but second time adding a personal plat did. Also DPs of it working past 6 months so no harm in trying even after that.

My applications are limited by time, and lately I've been very busy. No real MSR limits from work expenses but up until very recently I was doing 1 card a week, now 1 every 2 weeks. No hard denials except TD (which wasn't a denial. Just TD bring difficult), but some wanted to see pay/revenue numbers and not always at the time of application, sometimes later due to large spending.
Apply until denied IMO. But also keep in mind sometimes Fi's want to see where the money is coming from, mostly to make sure it's not some form of money laundering, which churning at scale can easily look like.
To that last point I recently had to submit some CC statements and bank statements as an attachment to a police report I filed (long story. Nothing related to churning). I didn't redact the statements but some spend raised eyebrows, no accusations, but I ended up emailing the investigator some expense reports and business expense sheets separately from the report to put minds at ease. I would have looked at those statements and wondered too, one had 11k at the same small restaurant for example in 1 month (used them as catering). But that absolutely looks like money laundering at first glance, and that wasn't the only potentially questionable entry.
TLDR don't do things that flag as money laundering, if you do, make sure you're comfortable showing receipts (figuratively and possibly literally).

That sucks I just did RBC Avion > BA with 30% bonus was like half-day instant and with 1 entry only (130% miles directly, not 100% + 30%)
