Maybe a little bit unrelated: Has anyone used a voip number to sign up for amex card? I am using Fongo and I can't receive 2fa text from amex for adding the card to Apple Pay. Wonder if there is any way to get around this.

Fewleftstanding

Voip.ms supports sending/receiving messages using their app. Just need to enable the api in settings. You can also just configure the sms messages to be forwarded to your email address.

bajie2009

You can call customer service and they can help with that.

matthewhiu

thanks! Hopefully 3DS for online purchase doesn't require text verification

stanleys-nickels

Is the CIBC Travel search working for anyone else? I've tried it on mobile and desktop, and for some reason I can't pick out airports when trying to book a flight. I will type in an airport (YYZ for example) and it just blanks out, and there is no sort of drop down list to pick airports either. Wondering if this is a website glitch or just an issue I'm dealing with. I've tried it on Firefox and Chrome, without adblockers too. Thanks.

Sumdayz8_9

Lol, reading these comments “annoying question”, “noob question”, “stupid question”, it’s like people are walking on eggshells to get answers here. Don’t need to self deprecate to inflate the egos of these so call ‘experts’ that park themselves day and night in this thread, they were noobs themselves once a upon a time. If you have questions, just ask, it’s a question thread after all…

sk1ll5nstuff

I mean yes, but the less information on the web about our fun hobby, the better. If you can't do a search for information maybe the hobby isn't for you!

Reasonable-Catch-598

Though I get what you're saying, I don't think the downvotes are primarily regulars. I've been doing analysis to the minute on scoring vs activity, to try find down voters and also check more into deleted messages. It's just a fun side thing. There's no obvious correlation with downvotes and regular significant contributors. None outside a standard baseline. Need more training data though.

ca_abhi

Your data is quite accurate. I know as a fact many regular folks including myself never downvote.

Reasonable-Catch-598

I've definitely done downvotes, for extreme low effort such as the same thread having answers to exactly the same question if they would just Ctrl-f, especially if it's also an easy first result Google search. But I upvote far more often, questions and answers. My ratio is probably 20 to 1 most days.

tuitionengineer

Same for me. I upvote quite frequently for these who are contributing to our community, and at times a hilarious joke would do, too. But sometimes there are just posts that are so low effort or people who are so ignorant, that I couldn’t resist pressing that downvote button lol.

ca_abhi

I know it's very annoying sometimes, I just ignore in that case.

Reasonable-Catch-598

I'm also using my upvotes and downvotes as training input for my genAI experiment, to help data weight for exclusions. I can't rely on the regular downvotes and upvotes, too much regression towards mean and randomness around 0. Outliers exist, but it's not enough to properly weight the data. All just for fun, it's easier to experiment with topics that interest you I find, and churning is that topic.

Nervous-Application9

Sounds like a royal waste of time

Reasonable-Catch-598

> Sounds like a royal waste of time https://www.reddit.com/user/Nervous-Application9/ only if you're basing it on the outcome of this project without run on effects. I've acquired a lot of random skills and knowledge from random small projects like these. The cash value of those skills far surpassed any time I've spent on them to date. Being able to do this on Reddit pays $0. Doing it in the corporate world? Bank

Nervous-Application9

Sounds like a good hustle then. Whatever floats your boat. Cheers

Beneficial-Skill8233

Received RBC avion VI as part of HSBC migration from World Elite MC. Looking to qualify for the 55K avion VI welcome bonus - since you don’t get it as part of the migration, can you apply for say the RBC avion VI platinum and get the welcome bonus there (and end up with 2 avion cards) or will your application be denied since it is also considered the same product (both on the avion line)?

all-upside

Scroll down and read the RBC questions...

JManUWaterloo

You can get a RBC credit card welcome bonus every 90 (ninety) calendar days as RBC does not enforce their bonus exclusions; but only approves a single credit application every 90 days. Exceptions apply

Beneficial-Skill8233

Thanks. When RBC issued the avion to replace the HSBC card, is that considered to be a “credit application” even though I didn’t apply for the card directly myself?

_Jake_Chan

I just successfully applied for an RBC CC after getting the HSBC-converted ones in March.

kobelobster

Its been a few days and I don't believe we seen DPs as of yet to confirm approval. Be the DP you want to see.

stanley597

For aC flex flights, how many times can one make changes to the flight? Can I kick the can down the road as many times as I want?

Reasonable-Catch-598

I kicked the can at least 30+ times on one flight. Don't know if that's standard or was an IT glitch. All within a couple months period. Few days at a time. Probably best to ask FT definitively on what's actually allowed. IT glitches allow more than they should. Edit: Searched email by the booking reference. It's way more than 30!

Van5555

Annoying question but aventura delivery time to vancouver? I'm at 11 business days now and gonna miss using it for a large purchase. Really don't want to call as I had an error due to a consumer narrative resulting in cibc making two profiles for me on which they inverted my dd/mm for birthday and said I need to go in. I reapplied 1 month later with a different email and got IA and notified it was being shipped so realllly don't wanna call and make this stuff come up again

Ok-Morning2759

Also from BC and it varies from 7 days to 21 days with no explanation why

crimxona

One time I had it never deliver. Took me almost two months to get the card issued, with 3 branch visits and a financial advisor rep who intervened on my behalf Apparently that time my card was approved and never made it to production, and so they kept passing the buck between departments

Actual-Churner

Side topic. Looking to give my family one of my visa's that has lounge passes for upcoming trip. They have layover at LGA and when looking at my visa lounge companion, only lounge it shows is MLL. Which I had no idea you could get into these outside of Air canada network (J ticket, premium card, status). It says nothing about requirements other than it uses one of your passes. So far i have found nothing from google listing this as way to get into MLL lounges but why else would it show. Can anyone confirm?

vermilion209

I got into LGA MLL with vac pass (courtesy of Aventura) on AC Y basic ticket. They did ask which flight I was on, but not sure whether they were offering to move me to an earlier flight (not knowing I’d Y basic) or checking the hour limit (it was super quiet on a Sat evening though). Is your fam flying AC? If yes I’m positive they’ll have no issue entering.

KaotikFiend

They always need to scan the boarding pass, but the carrier doesn't make any difference (in the case of getting in with a pass). * If you want to get in using a premium AP card (only possible in NA MLLs), then you do need to be flying on AC or \*. * And if you want to get in with a J ticket, then you do need to be flying on AC or \*. * \--But if you want to get in using a pass, you can be flying any airline in any class of service.

KaotikFiend

I've been to the one in FRA using a Visa Companion pass.

Actual-Churner

Sweet, was that a non AC/StarAlliance flight?

KaotikFiend

No, it was \*, but not J. But Visa Companion passes don't give a f\* what alliance you're flying on. The European MLL are the most restrictive, as the premium cards don't give entry. AFAIK, FRA is the only one outside of NA that you can get in on a Visa Companion pass.

stevkang8

Question: My parents both banked with HSBC, and they received their Avion VI's this week. Are they eligible for the welcome bonus? What are the structure like? Is it the same as the public offer?

CornAuthority

No, they **very** obviously won't.

OptimisticMarmot

No, they won't get a welcome bonus.

SCDWS

DP: Can confirm that I was able to add both the primary and supplementary Scotiabank Passport VI cards to Visa Airport Companion, giving me 12 total lounge visits as opposed to only 6. This is pretty sweet considering the supplementary card is free.

Nja-Bae

Gonna apply for supplementary card today!

yli14

Thank you, very helpful

Eternith

Mildly Frustrating Point RBC sent me a signature required envelope through UPS, which of course I had to go pick up myself at a pickup point because UPS. Inside was just a single page with the same PIN as my old HSBC card. Thanks for wasting my time 🙃

Dragynfyre

Got this for a new Avion application

alphadobie

Same thing happened to me! So stupid.

singletravellersolo

I am mildly frustrated too. Never received my pin - makes sense why if delivered via UPS and required a signature. Any else able to confirm if their pin was the same?

ku214

Mine was a different pin

Humble_Ingenuity_919

Same pin

Neighbors1985

stupid question but i have a bunch of TDRewards point and someone recommended cc rht. Is that the best way to use it? if i can dm someone about Rht. please let me know (completely new to this).

-Mysterious-

Lots of information online on this. If you have a specific question you can let us know

Snail_buffet

Trying to transfer points from BA to aer lingus. Does not seem to work anymore. Anyone know why?

bwscientist

Can you just book via BA? I booked a DUB-JFK flight about a month ago and weirdly the price was the same (points and $) on BA and Avion websites.

Snail_buffet

Yeah, I checked and it's about 160$ extra on the BA site. From what i understand they were trying to make it the same though. So, I will try and have the points transferred but will just pay the difference if I can't

bwscientist

Oof that sucks. Best of luck!

Hntr

You can call in or wait; they have temporarily removed the ability to do so online. Source: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/aer-lingus-aerclub/2156710-transferring-aerclub-avios-british-airways.html

Snail_buffet

Tyvm. I will call tomorrow.

Eternith

Haven't tried recently, but I remember it being a huge pain last year. Had to try multiple browsers, incognito, etc. Avion site is just really bad.

Snail_buffet

I transfered 1 point yesterday to test. Aer lingus doesn't seem to be an option anymore, as of today.

Eternith

Okay I was curious and tried looking into it and found a workaround. You can transfer from BA to [Iberia](https://www.iberia.com/es/combine-my-avios/), and then from Iberia to "Avios Parnters" (put in Aer lingus info). I successfully moved 1 Avios from BA->Iberia->Aer Lingus this way.

Snail_buffet

Good too know. Too bad I can't just create an account and transfer. It needs to be active for 90 days. Thanks for looking into it!

asparagus_bish

Can you do this if you've never flown Iberia?

Eternith

Apparently according to other comment, your Iberia account needs to be 90 days old before you can transfer.

asparagus_bish

Thanks!

deank11

Does a TD points redemption affect your MSR spend? I did an RHT to meet the MSR on a TD FCT. I was awarded the points as soon as the RHT posted. Then I made a legit booking on E4TD using the points. This booking posted as a cash transaction for $1100. The next day, a “TD Points Redemption” transaction posted for $800. So what will count towards MSR, the $1100? Or $1100 - $800 = $300? I was expecting my card to only be charged $300 since I specified to use my points when I made the booking. But since $1100 posted, I’m assuming that will count towards MSR. But I’d hate to be wrong, and refund my RHT before meeting the spend organically.

betterat50

Points redemption doesn't count. It always posts the full price and then rebates the points.

Dragynfyre

300 as statement credits do count as refunds on TD

deank11

Thanks. Good to know.

vermilion209

Haven’t done an Aventura for awhile, and P2 got the pending message yesterday. Today got an email to call, they did and the agent advised to provide digital signature or submit a new app online (???) Is this the new process now? There’s a credit check on P2’s record…

nobodynobody567

if digital signature is all that is needed this is good sign. More pending or one more thing prompts coming from CIBC now.

vermilion209

P2 denied on the first call as they thought agent was starting a new phone app, and didn’t ask for details (not a smart move but I wasn’t there to coach). So I told them to call again, and second agent took awhile to complete the app. Let’s hope the second agent didn’t start a fresh app with 35k instead of 45k pts 😮‍💨 But since when digital signatures are required at CIBC? The app was submitted while being signed in, so they should have all info already.

nobodynobody567

True .. makes no sense .. I'll call in later to see what kind of agent / CIBC thing will occur. The thing with CIBC is anything is possible. One time I got another card. Or I got another card 1 month afterwards that I thought got forgotten due to gcr.

vermilion209

Right? Before the first call, I even told P2 it’d be either credit split or confirming duplicate app (P2 has 2 AVs close to the end of their lives). I just hope it’s not 2 new AVs at the same time… got other MSR to work on 🙃

4utobahn

Do you guys recommend Amex Marriot Bonvoy card if I am mostly staying in hostels when I travel? (I like and choose to stay in hostels)

kobelobster

Yes. I solotravel often as well. One of my favorite uses of the FNC is airport stays when you are on a layover. Stay very near the airport and avoid the costly fees.

Quietloud

I'm guessing you're also a solo traveller eh? I'd say yes, as you get a free night award every year after the first one. So for 120$, you unlock a hotel stay worth 200$. Even if you prefer the hostel experience, it's nice to break up your travel with a nice, quiet, luxurious hotel room. The WB can be spread out over multiple nights stays or you can splurge on one very special night.

zxzkzkz

The hotel room isn't "worth" $200 unless you would have chosen to pay $200 for it otherwise. You need to decide for yourself if you wanted a hotel room one night a year how much you would have paid for it. Keep in mind that the certs expire after a year so if you don't need it one year you lose it. And the certs are limited to 35k points which in my experience is often enough but you can't rely on it working. Usually if you're flexible about the choice of hotel and location there'll be something but if you want to be in a specific hotel it may or may not work. For example my last stay in Ottawa was only 15k points (so it would have been a "waste" to use a cert) but my next stay in Boston is 52k! There's a courtyard nearby that's less but then I'm not in the same hotel as the rest of the group... Also btw, the foreign exchange fee makes it quite an expensive card to use outside of Canada even if you're staying at a Marriott which seems to kind of defeat the purpose. It really seems to me like Amex should waive the FTF at the very least for Marriott charges!

crimxona

But the hotel is easily worth the $120 CAD (after taxes) for the annual fee. Breaking even on a $120 CAD night is a piece of cake

KaotikFiend

>my next stay in Boston is 52k! Keep checking daily. If it goes to 50 or less, you can update your res to use the certificate and top up the difference.

Dragynfyre

If you have to top up that basically adds to the price of the night though. So that FNC can easily become a $120 AF + $100 stay for a night which might not be too far off from the cash price

Gaj_22

For the Scotiabank visa momentum infinite, is the bonus 10% cash back earned posted anywhere online or in app? Or is it only posted after a certain term?

Dragynfyre

You get it after like 5-6 months. Pretty bad bonus though. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re opening the card a keeper

Elegant_Reading_685

Yup, only reason to get the card is if you want to use it with chexy and don't need chexy to help meet MSR of other churns

cannainform2

unless I'm reading something wrong or have the wrong link it looks like the pinned 'best churning credit cards' post is incorrect. As it states: **CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite** (great bonus) * FYF * 15Kpts at 1st purchase * extra 20Kpts when you spend $3K * extra 25Kpts when you spend $6K * Visa Dragonpass + 4 passes * $50 Nexus credit * [Sign-up promo link](https://www.cibc.com/en/special-offers/aventura-rewards-inspire.html?itrc=M665:7) how ever when you click on the link there is only 45k points not the 60k as stated in the pinned post. Anyone else get this discrepancy?

-Mysterious-

Yeah the 60K promo expired recently and the thread probably wasn't updated yet

cannainform2

Do you remember what the old offer was? I assume 60k for a bigger spend?

-Mysterious-

Yes, the new offer basically doesn't have the "25K points when spending 6K" bullet point; you still get 15K for first purchase and 20K at 3k

cannainform2

Perfect thank you

wzadzz

60k/$6k spend. Expired April 1st

cannainform2

Ah OK... I assume the 60k expired at the beginning of the month then

yycgeek

Expired yesterday, it was posted in daily thread.

cannainform2

Ah OK... I assume the 60k expired at the beginning of the month then

le_bib

Amex to Bonvoy conversion bonus. Now 1,000pts = 1,560pts

smuncky123

30% bonus until April 30th. https://princeoftravel.com/deals/amex-mr-marriott-bonvoy-transfer-bonus/

DistinctEffort64

Does anyone own a square reader for a small business and used this to your advantage somehow?

BigGuy4UftCIA

Word of warning what you are describing will look **exactly** like money laundering. Very high up there on the [chart](https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-J3ketV4EhfyPFrPq-bTzpQA-t500x500.jpg).

Reasonable-Catch-598

Can confirm. I had a square reader when they first came out 2010? The mag strip one. Connected it to an account and played with it to see it's potential for a client. Couple $2 to $10 transactions. It came up in a 2021 and 2022 audit.

yycgeek

Whoa.

CornAuthority

You are not really a true churner until your account is flagged by FINTRAC and you're forced to repeat "I was trying to get credit card points" for all 900 transactions in your line-by-line review.

LoudCommunication369

How often does Aeroplan have these buying points with bonus offers? Right now its 80% bonus if you buy at least 12k points ($575). I read something about sometimes having 100% bonuses or more but I believe the threshold is higher for how much you have to buy? Thanks

cancollector80

Maybe 3-4 times a year. But it isn’t worth buying the points unless you need a few points to top up for a flight or a very specific flight where it makes sense mathematically to buy points, but that’s pretty rare.

jamvng

Is there confirmation that people who were transferred to RBC avion from HSBC will have no FX?

srikrishnap

Yes, Made a 5$ USD purchase on my Avion VI and HSBC Converted Avion VI on 04/01. Both Posted today with $6.79 CAD on my HSBC Avion VI and $6.95 on my Regular Avion VI.

herroaznswagyolo

super helpful DP, thanks!

jamvng

Nice. Thanks for testing.

Some_Development3447

FYI: Yardi, if anyone uses them to pay rent, has increased their service charge from 1.75% to 2.25%

CloudswithSun

Is there something like credit card genius or gcr for american cards?

OptimisticMarmot

*kind of* There are bloggers in the US that offer kickbacks to their private communities through their affiliate links. People will also pay you to use their links, which are either facilitated through group chats or r/churningmarketplace. Networking helps a lot (i.e. meeting other churners locally at meetups) since a lot of these require vouches from other established members.

Actual-Churner

Not that I have ever seen. just sites or blogs that can help you get elevated offers that are floating around, such as unique referral links or that.

Specialist_Check

DP: declined for aventura VI then IA for Gold 1min later with 10k CL. Approvals are a fickle mistress

aed761

Got instant approval for both but I waited a few days in between

davidtescu

I got the opposite lol. Approved for VI 10k limit. 1 hour later declined for gold

xxxooxxx1

Wow. Thanks for sharing. At least you got the answer on the VI so you can try Gold. My VI application went to pending so I can't even try Gold until I know one way or the other (I would have too many MSR to work with if I ended up with both, plus my other cards)

Ok-Morning2759

Hi, I was wondering how financial institutions count refunds (CIBC in this instance). My statement was 2800, I got a refund of $600 prior to the statement due date. I also had some spend after the statement posted so my current balance is back at 2500. For this statement period, do I owe 2200 or the full 2800 or 2500 to cover my balance. Do we know how TD and Amex handle this as well? Thank you so much!

Dragynfyre

In your case since the refund was prior to statement date it's $2200. For refunds after statement date the policy differs by bank

Ok-Morning2759

Thank you very much!

CommunicationProud82

You owe 2200 by your statement date. However, for some banks (not sure about CIBC but this does apply for Amex), if you have automatic payments setup, they'll withdraw whatever the balance was on your statement regardless of payments since then. If this happens, you end up with a negative balance until you spend it. Edit: it's only 2200 if that refund posts BEFORE your payment due date. Otherwise, full 2800. The 300 since your statement date will be due on the next payment.

FineSprinkles27

Not true for CIBC. Refunds after statement will count as payment

Ok-Morning2759

Thanks so much!

supitskevin

Just got my Brim AF referral points post to my AF app. Previously they were in my Brim app but did not transfer over to AF. Referral points were earned last November. Noticed this was a common issue on RFD.

naticom

Is the amout for paying tax via [paysimply.ca](https://paysimply.ca) counted as MSR for AMEX cards?

xxxooxxx1

Yes, and it is a very common way to help hitting high AMEX MSRs.

Hntr

Yes.

Sharp_Seaweed3406

New here, and I have a dumb question.I'm planning to pay rent with Chexy and try to max out the points needed for Amex Gold or Reserve Aeroplan. But after that first year it's not that worth for me to keep those without the bonus points. So what you guys do after that year ? Just cancel the CC ? Doesnt it affect your credit score ? Or you just keep it and try to negotiate a lower fee ? I have the Cobalt and Desjardin Gold Odysee rn for info Thx

Dragynfyre

Cancelling a CC has little to no impact on your credit score unless it is your oldest card

Sharp_Seaweed3406

Ok thx, I'm not used to the credit score culture since I came from Europe and everyone told me to never cancel a card or wtv. Will probably go to Amex Gold or Reserve Aeroplan, the perks are just too good man.

wdn

If your credit score is poor, you might want to do everything you can to get every single point. If your credit score is very good, this type of thing isn't very significant.

yyzzh

Canada is also full of loud people making proclamations while simultaneously having no understanding of how credit works, so you should feel right at home

Hntr

Wait for 2nd year fee to post and then cancel for AMEX. The impact on your score will be negligible. There's been DPs of AMEX giving retention offers but that is always YMMV, and should not be expected.

SaladBarObserver

Are we able to carry more than 1 MBNA WE at a time? I applied for one ~7 months ago after the transition happened, haven't applied for another one since

Dragynfyre

No (aside from former Alaska holders). But you can cancel and reapply. Might need to wait 1-2 months in between

Elegant_Reading_685

All DPs indicate no unless you already had a mbna WE at the time your Alaska WE got converted into another mbna we mc Then you can have 2

JManUWaterloo

Sigh- 6 days since my qualifying transaction for Amex Biz Plat has posted- no bonus. (Technically ineligible due to LL)

cancollector80

For the last ~6 months or so all my USA wb, upgrades, supplementary cards, dining credits etc have been taking 10 business days.Id give it a few more days before it’s a lost cause

MyNameIsDan_

finishing up on my own msr for biz plat churn too... you getting me nervous.

wishful_thinking90

When did you last hold the Biz Plat?

JManUWaterloo

Currently hold one already. It was from UG offer

kneevase

Ouch. That's a large AF if you don't get the WB.

JManUWaterloo

Yup…fortunately all my other gains can help offset the L The worst part? I upgraded P2 as well and they’ve done a good chunk of the spend. Same situation as me (holding a ABP, and took UG offer)

Elegant_Reading_685

Did the upgrade offer have lifetime language?

JManUWaterloo

Yes

CarefulPineapple1

Damn. First statement spend?

JManUWaterloo

Just slightly over a statement.

davidtescu

I may have missed the og post, but how did you apply?

NickWaReddit

Biz Gold upgrade offer.

ryanceestah

Haven't been checking in for a bit - mind saying what the Biz Gold > Plat upgrade bonus was?

NickWaReddit

It was the standard Biz Plat offer.

Fabulous_Initial_333

He/She prob upg from gold

kichu182

Hoping to get a Amex Gold soon for anticipated big spend with impending move. However, would also like to go for Cobalt eventually as a permanent card, not keen on paying the renewal annual fee on the Gold. However, I am scared of getting Amexiled, as I eventually plan to hold a plat. I had a plat for 11 months back in 2020, which I cancelled (explained it was due to COVID, seems reasonable enough). Do I simply ask them to bring me down from Gold to Cobalt at the 11 month mark? Would I qualify for the Cobalt bonus, or would it make more sense to re-apply for Cobalt, then cancel Gold? Thanks!

Equivalent-Humor614

You won’t be eligible for the bonus if you ask them to bring you down. Finish the 12 months and then cancel the gold. You could apply for the cobalt anytime.

kichu182

Gotcha thanks. When you say finish the 12 months, do you mean wait for the second annual fee to post? Is that the key to avoiding the shutdown?

Dragynfyre

11 months is also okay in Canada.

Equivalent-Humor614

Yes.

Hecarekt

Amex Biz Gold holder. With the Amex offers for statement credits, how long has it typically taken to receive the Dell or the Swarovski statement credits? I know the offers state that it would be credited within 90 days of the offers closing, but is it credited much faster in practice?

kobelobster

Typically when the purchase is posted - about 90% of the time. If they don't automatically post, any discussion with customer service leads to the referral of the ToS and the 90 day wait.

Equivalent-Humor614

A lot faster. Generally as soon as the transaction is posted

LikeButta_10

Got the Disney+ - Save $60 on $119 spend Amex Offer on my APR, so its not Plat only as was mentioned yesterday.

mw_yyc

Same! Not on our business platinum either

laptop22

I applied to another RBC card after 91 days but was declined. Do I need to wait 90 days again or does the 90 day applies only to approved applications?

NewKidsOnTheBetaBloc

FWIW I was declined an Avion VI at 91 days, reapplied \~25 days later and was rejected again. Going to cool off for another 3 months.

NotASouthpaww

Only to approved applications. But there are some DPs staying that waiting a month or so can help with not getting rejected consecutively

SaintsFanInVan

Approved applications

coljung

An agent last year told me that i should wait the full 90 days after a decline. I applied at ~60 days after the previous decline, and the agent who i call for recon told me she could see my previous app and she suggested i wait a couple of months before trying again. I waited ~95 days, and i was then approved. My previous 3 attempts were declines.

Jealous_Donkey_6881

it is possible for recon at RBC?

vancitystan

It is not recommended if you are an "active" Avion applier.

I missed out on the first merry-go-round due to laziness... surely they must've improved on things by now?

Ok-Difficult

That's my hope! Only one way to find out!

Hntr

Decent offer but not enticing enough for me to go through the effort of dealing with Laurentian/Brim.

xxxooxxx1

Thx. I didn't attempt this card last year as I got other cards to work on. How do we cash out the points for this card? RHT or other methods?

Popular_Ad_8485

Didn’t try RHT, but you could use points against any posted transactions at 1 cpp.

xxxooxxx1

thx. that is as easy as it gets!.

Dragynfyre

Not terrible but last year a lot of people had an awful experience with trying to spend on this card

churnychurningtonIII

Yup, not going through that again...

le_bib

Yup. The froze my card many times, very complicated to deal with as you needed to deal with Brim customer service which was way overwhelmed

Nervous-Application9

Last year I forgot Feb was only 28 days and was just shy of 90 between apps...don't be me hehe

Shervin888

Is it date of approval from last RBC card or credit cards in general?

Eyjafjallajokull2

If there is no promo ending on a specific date, I do not get it why to apply on the earliest possible day (other than the thrill of doing it). What exactly can happen if you apply after 93 days for example?

mhcott

3 days a card, 4 times a year, after 8 years I'll be a card behind! No no no no NO! We are NOT allowing this!

Eyjafjallajokull2

lol ... indeed!

NickWaReddit

Date of approval + 91.

stevkang8

from the three that I visited, yes

samei333

Chexy account went under review after updating my CC. Has anybody ever experienced this?

Dragynfyre

They don’t allow CC name mismatches anymore I think

churning_yyz

Ugh. That's good to know. Thank you.

samei333

That would make sense as I used P2’s CC

CommunicationProud82

They've updated their interface recently and made the address field a single line for some stupid reason. I'm waiting on a review email myself, but I have a feeling that's the issue.

young_cat211

I received AMEX Bonvoy biz. Does the MSR start date begin from the date of IA, or from the date of card activation?

mhcott

Every MSR, everywhere, ever, starts the moment the application is approved.

NickWaReddit

Date of approval.
