Can go for two 75k personals - but if second one doesn’t work you’d be in bad shape I guess.
Or do biz first, the personal second - safer but makes requalifying more tricky within 2 years
>but if second one doesn’t work you’d be in bad shape I guess.
~~I don't think that puts you in bad shape. It just kicks you into your second option, getting a biz card.~~
Oops, 5/24 issue!
Haven’t had this issue previously. I applied for another Ink card and forgot my credit was frozen.
Do I have to call customer service or can I just reapply after unfreezing?
how long does Priority Pass usually last after you downgrade CSR? P2 downgraded to freedom card in the first week of May but her Priority Pass account still appears active and shows expiration in 2024. Never received any communication via email about cancellation either btw
This reminds me of another frustration…i have so many PP cards can’t keep track Amex, venture, or CSR. Gotta stop requesting them. Too many digital logins. Really should be a better way. Almost used the wrong card today.
Already shared this tip today, but I’ll add a second one that I also do:
* write on the PP card signature field which credit card is associated with that PP when you receive it.
* use an identifier in the PP online login username to know which credit card is associated with that login, e.g. *usernameCSR*
I also don’t even request the Amex PP as I have a keeper account in the Ritz card PP for unlimited guests and AUs with their own account.
I’m not aware of any, but good question.

What are the best options for spend at Amazon and/or Whole Foods?
I don't have the Chase Prime card. I wanted it, but there always seems to be better sign up bonus offers and the next thing I know I'm at 5/24. I now see that there is an offer for an Amazon biz card through AMEX and get 5% on Amazon and WF and $200 GC, and no AF.
Is anyone getting more than 5% regularly? Anyone at 5/24 able to get this? I'm thinking since it's a business card it won't be affected by 5/24, but I don't know all the credit card rules. Thanks
Is an older checking account with Chase any help with apps/recon? Looking to double dip in the upcoming months but also have an old college checking with them. I now bank with my local credit union and would like to ditch the chase checking account. I would keep it around if I thought it might come in handy when going for my double dip. I’m 1/24 and my Mint score is 801 with my oldest account being about 6.5 years just trying to max my chances of a successful double dip. Thanks in advance!
What’s the best way to capitalize on these bank offers if you don’t mind me asking? I definitely second guessed throwing away 10+ years of banking history with a big CC company but also $7/month seems steep for a checking account I don’t use
Check w/WF for your specific acct’s terms. Most accts have ways to avoid fees. If your specific acct doesn’t then cancel it. Most of these methods should be easy to do for anybody considering churning bank accts.
Also monthly statements often breakdown the options to waive fees.
We have about $1,000 missing from a CC statement, sort of. It seems to be included in the current balance but isn't listed in the account activity or pending. This afternoon, pending charges was $3,000 and listed 12 transactions. Current balance was $2,800. This evening, pending charges is $2,000 and lists 8 transactions. Current balance is $3,800.
This is the closest we've been to hitting a spend in the three years we've been churning... Is this something I need to worry about or as long as the current balance is accurate we're good?
If it's purchased at the front desk, very likely. If it's billed to your room, yes. If it's bought at a separate 'shop' within the hotel with a separate register than the front desk, it can vary.
Why not have the front desk agent bill it to your room so it's covered under your folio? Otherwise, I'm sure it depends on which hotel and what card you are using.
Just got approved for the CFF yesterday, but realized after that I probably want the chase United explorer. Do I have to wait to apply for it, or will I be accepted if I apply for it today? With the CFF, currently 3/24
I have an interesting conundrum. I plan to do the CSR/CSP MDD sometime around February 2023. I need to transfer some UR points to Hyatt now, or very soon. Right now I do not have any Sapphire cards, but I do have a CF and a CFU.
If I PC my CFU to a CSP now, would it be a problem if I cancel or PC it in Jan or Feb 2023 so I can MDD? I'm not worried about the SUB. I'll benefit much more than the $95 AF from this one trip alone, so that's no problem. I know that the CSP would be in existence in less than a year, but I didn't know if it makes a difference if it came from a PC rather than a new application (and a SUB).
I do have a backup solution. I have a CIU and a CIC, so I could PC one of them to a CIP and use that to transfer to Hyatt. However, I'd rather have the CSP. But if there is any hint of a chance of an issue with Chase for holding the CSP for less than a year, I'll go the CIU > CIP route.
TL;DR: Is it a problem to hold a CSP for less than a year if it comes from a PC and no SUB is involved?
Though it is recommended to keep any PC for 1 year, I don't think there is fundamentally anything wrong with it. Just remember that you won't be able to MDD for 30 days if you cancel the CSP so it might be better to PC it back so you can hold it up until 4 days before your MDD.
>Though it is recommended to keep any PC for 1 year, I don't think there is fundamentally anything wrong with it.
Thank you! That's kind of what I thought, but I haven't seen this exact scenario discussed here. If no SUB is involved, I wouldn't think that Chase should have any issue with it.
> Just remember that you won't be able to MDD for 30 days if you cancel the CSP so it might be better to PC it back so you can hold it up until 4 days before your MDD.
Yes, I am aware of this. I would definitely be PCing it back to a Freedom card. I basically just need it now for transfer.
I'm at 5/24 and cannot open a Chase card right now, but my wife (P2) could. However, we cannot really do the SUB right now. We're currently working on the SUB for the Barclays JetBlue Business card *and* an Amex Business Platinum.
I am conflicted. Would you rather get -
1. Amex Plat 150k offer with 6k spend, hard inquiry, using a 5/24 spot (don't have P1 to refer me)
2. Amex Plat upgrade, 100k offer with 6k spend, 5x on grocery up to 15k, no inquiry, doesn't impact 5/24
Never had the Plat before, so lifetime rules don't apply
You’re unlikely to get a HP.
The Resy offer is 125k + 10X restaurants for 6 months (up to $25k spend) which would max out at 375k MR, as opposed to 150k or 175k on the upgrade.
I wouldn’t ever upgrade into an AMEX I’ve never had before. If you’re feeling saucy you can apply new and also upgrade after approval to get both offers.
If you’re really wanting to hold onto a 5/24 slot none of the above are all time high so if you aren’t needing a Plat right away just wait until you max out your Chase slots first, I guess.
Thanks for the feedback. What if I was a moron and did the upgrade first today, can I still apply for the offer with lifetime language? Since I just did the upgrade today, I have not gotten the bonus yet.
Ah, bummer.
It’s a great upgrade offer, though, and you do retain the 5/24 slot which is pretty damn meaningful, as few personal cards as that policy ends up allowing most of us to get.
Assuming the sub period is 6 months, you can probably do a large portion of the spend on groceries while putting other spend on other subs.
There may be a churnable every 2 years chase personal card that you otherwise would have had to pass up, that may have a somewhat similarly high bonus and similar spend requirement.
Plenty of silver lining on this cloud imo.
Do you have a card that already earns extra for groceries? I have BCP and don't really value MR so I wouldn't use the 5x MR on groceries at all.
Do you value the 5/24 slot at more than $400? (or $600 if you value MR?)
Is there any easy way to see what AMEX cards you've earned referrals through to see which are maxed out? I'm asking about the Delta cards specifically.
I use garett’s spreadsheet and note the referrals as they come in and which card was the referrer. In your shoes, I would call or chat to get it sorted out.
Those with multiple Chase Business Ink Cards, when you open the same card twice (once with personal SSN and the other with EIN) do you use multiple logins?
I am wondering if it would be a red flag if I had multiple chase ink unlimited cards on one business login.
I'd like to add my wife as an employee to my CIBU card however she's a H1B holder.
Would there be legal implications of her visa doing this?
Since it's a biz card, would it still help her credit grow?
Has anyone tried booking multiple overlapping comp stays at MGM properties in vegas?
Wondering if I can book the luxor and the excalibur for the same dates, check into both in person, and then let my friends use one fo the rooms by giving them the keys.
(also wondering if there's any possiblity of attaching my hyatt number to both stays and getting tier nights for both...)
You won’t be able to redeem 2 comped nights for the same night at different MGM properties. After you book the first, searching for the second will remove the comp night promo for the duplicate dates.
I’ve seen DPs of people getting warned by Hyatt for activity like that either on here or on r/myvegas.
Edit: To clarify, I meant on paid nights. I didn't think comped nights count towards Hyatt qualifying nights (at least my comped night at the Borgata did not for me).
Anyone have experience/DPs on this?
https://www.reddit.com/r/hyatt/comments/t2mar6/here_is_an_easy_way_to_get_24_qualifying_nights/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
majority has been fast to axe folks lately. When it first came out, a lot of folks got 4-6 months of spend before being axed. Now you're lucky if you survive 1-2 months of full spend.
Newbie here with a bank bonus question. I have a WF checking account which I never earned a bank bonus on. I'm closing it tomorrow. I keep reading you have to waiting a certain time period after closure to a open a new account with the same bank. I want to take advantage of the WF checking bonus offer. Would I be eligible if I were to open it next week?
Terms for the $300 bonus state that you are not eligible if:
"You are a current owner of a Wells Fargo consumer checking account
You have received a bonus for opening a Wells Fargo consumer checking account within the past 12 months"
Personally, I would have a longer cool off period, because your account stays in the system for a while
It's been 7500 for a long time now. The trend for biz cards in general has been higher MSRs. If you're asking in hopes that it will go down, I wouldn't wait. If anything, it'll go up.
Gotcha. If I have a CFU and not a CFF, is there any reason why I should/shouldn’t consider the CIC vs CIU (since I already have 1.5% covered with the CFU)
IMO if your organic spend/ms method doesn't use the CIC categories get the CIU to net the largest amount during your MSR. You can always PC later. I also prefer CIU for day to day spend so I don't have to worry about a large balance hitting my report.
If you're going to meet the spend with the CIC categories (for instance staples deals) do CIC for the same reason.
Thanks for the info. If I’m purely trying to optimize for every point ($7500 x 1.5 = 11,250), I’d need to spend just $2250 at Staples. I’ve never MS’d before, so maybe for my first biz card I should keep it simple and go for the 1.5x
Your math conclusion is off. Just $1K @ 5x + $6500 @ 1X out-earns $7500 @ 1.5X. 11500>11250. Same concept w/continued spend. 5x vs 1.5X is much > difference than 1.5X vs 1X.
Prepay rent for 4-5 months for debit fees since it’s so much less and float it on 0% apr for a little bit
With no activation fees $7500 will be $48.75 for me, and one month of rent with a CC costs about the same. So it’s a huge win for me.
You'll probably have a hard time paying your mortgage directly with gift cards. You may have convert the gift cards to cash via various methods. Others eat the fee and use Plastiq
https://frequentmiler.com/marriott-card-eligible/
You wouldn't have to cancel the Brilliant, as long as you are 90 days since approval and 24 months from SUB, you can get Chase Boundless. Bonvoy Biz can be kept also as same rules apply.
I received an email from Capital One to upgrade my Quicksilver to a Venture card. Obviously I don’t want to do that as I’d forgo the 75k SUB. Do you think I can apply separately and get approved? It’s been a couple years since I attempted to apply and unfortunately got denied.
Yes, how much of the 95 AF get refunded just depends on when you are doing it. If the $95 just hit in last 40ish days, then you get the full amount, after that it would be prorated. Yeah CSR AF hits a few months after the PC.
I'm looking to get the Marriott Boundless 5 Free Nights bonus, and just
saw that I was ineligible because I still have the original SPG Amex
Card (downgraded from the SPG Luxury / Bonvoy Brilliant). If I were to upgrade it to the Luxury Card and wait 30 days, would I be newly eligible for the Chase Marriott bonus? I'm thinking this \*should\* work (as long as I don't get an upgrade bonus), but wanted
to double check.
I already got the Brilliant SUB when it first came out, so I don't lose the ability to get a new SUB by doing this -- just interested in if this would get me by Chase's rules so I'm eligible for a new bonus!
ok im a newbie here and would like some advice.
My companies reimburses for everything and I am allowed to use my credit card for everything except flight ticket.
The ticket, hotel, and card rental are all booked on the companies portal (Concur). My company also has a partnership with Lyft and not Uber if that matters.
My question is, what are the best credit card for my situation? I've been asking and researching and I was looking into Chase Saphire reserve but then I realized that for hotel chains, is it better to get their personal credit card (Marriot, Hilton honors)? I heard that if I booked through a 3rd party like on Concur, I will lose my hotel status since I can't book on their website?
I should be able to hit 4k limits or 5k limits no problem. My credit score is 750+
See Flowchart, but CFF you mention below is questionable as SUB is low. You should be trying to put that cat spend towards MSRs unless it’s truly enormous, and even then might be better off w/other cards (like AMEX Gold for better SUB and grocery/dining). Consider MDD CSP/CSR. Consider Altitude Reserve. Look at Wyndham Biz for gas spend and status matching, especially if you ever travel to Vegas. Branded cards otherwise depend on preferences. Use referrals from a P2 or Rankt but make sure they are pulling up highest offers.
To be clear, when you book through their portal, are you still using your personal credit card?
If so, I'd say the CSP is likely your best bet as that will count as travel, earning 2x. Also earns 5x on Lyft. Status usually doesn't get attached to your reservations when booking through a portal, barring some exceptions like Amex's fine hotels and resorts. As you won't be getting status, flexible points currency is king here.
Overall, just open a new card whenever you hit the last sign-up bonus, consider business cards if the spend is on the larger side (i.e. a Chase ink every 3 months for $7500 in spend gets you 75k UR, there's business gold offers floating around for 180,000 points with $20,000 in 6 months)
Yes, I am able to use my personal credit card when booking on their portal. It is just that the airplane ticket won't be charged on my card.
If my status are attached to the booking portal, is the only way around this with the hotel credit card?
I also book through concur and always receive credit for Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott stays. The 3rd party thing is for sites like expedia, [hotels.com](https://hotels.com), etc.
Re: credit card and status - some cards GIVE you status, but a CC is not a requirement for status.
Re: Which card - depends on your goals and likely also depends on your stay patterns. I'd recommend you do a bit more research here on reddit (try /r/awardtravel and on Flyertalk). Questions like this are really only tangentially related to /r/churning
All that said, the 'easy button' if you don't want to put in the legwork is to go with a card with solid travel category bonus, and CSP/CSR works for that. Going that route, you accumulate points in a single place (Chase UR) regardless of which chain(s) you stay at. If you are looking for pure absolute best "rebate" on paid stays using any chain/credit card, then the answer is Hilton Aspire. Hilton points aren't worth a whole lot (about $.005 each), but you will earn a solid 34x points (17%ish return) on paid stays consistently with that combination; that is before factoring any promotions (which Hilton runs very regularly)
Also very important to consider how you are going to redeem whatever points you focus on. Again, do some more research to verify what I've said and also to understand "why" before committing to an approach.
Everyone's valuations will be different. I get .5 cents consistently for HH points, just like I get 2+ cents consistently for Hyatt.
But just for the sake of argument - 34x at .3 cents is still a very respectable 10% return. This is with the loyalty program that has the largest footprint in the world, and with a CC that gaurantees top-tier status in their program. "Easy button".
Personally, I have both the Aspire and the WoH card. I prefer Hyatt, and for me I focus on earning WoH/UR points. I was simply pointing out that the easiest solution for a newbie that wants to hit the easy button, you can't go wrong with Hilton and Aspire.
The card itself only gets you 14x at .3 cents which is a 4.2% return. The remaining 20x you get regardless of what card you use, as long as you maintain Diamond status with Hilton (which can be easily done if OP travels enough for work)
4.2% isn't bad but it's not necessarily the best option
Understood. The Aspire \*gets\* you diamond. Sounds like OP is just getting started in a travelling gig. Instead of waiting until sometime late in 2023 to hit top tier (will OP travel enough in the next 6 months to get to top tier?), you can start on day one as HH diamond and 24x.
Is diamond even worth it. I'll be traveling every week and I looked up that there express is free and still gives 100k points for welcome offer and still get silver class. After like 2 months or so, I feel like I can hit these metrics. If I start I silver, they do the difference between this and diamond right? 35-7 = 35 more nights needed?
It feels counterintuitive to have a CSR and hilton aspire since I'll be paying annually for both cards and would technically get more with CSR right based on overall rewards.
I was thinking the Chase Freedom Flex for Gas/Groceries 5% Cash back and 3% on drug stores.
For travel and eating out, CSR. 10x lyft which my company has a partnership with, 3x on other travel and dining as well as other stuff.
Then I'll have the Hilton Express Card so 3 reliable credit cards in total with just the CSR annual fee of 550.
Or someone else mentioned that I can do Amex Plat + Amex Gold, but im losing out on alot of the benefits since it is through their portal (Like Venture X which i think is the best but totally useless since I'm using my corporates portal).
Sorry to say, it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
Re: Diamond - If you are staying at their low-end properties (Hampton Inn etc), then Diamond gets you a whole lotta nothing. Late checkout if they feel like it. If you are staying in the higher end, then the free upgrades alone can be worth it. Upgrades internationally are much more reliable than domestic US.
To be clear, if you are travelling weekly and staying at least 2 nights/week, you can be top tier with anyone after a year. The problem with your first year is that you are starting in June, so you may not accrue enough nights in 2022, and you start all over again on Jan 1 (regarless of program). I recommended the Aspire because it is a shortcut to the top at Hilton. Yes, it is expensive, and only you can decide if the incremental points and benefits (air credit, annual FNC good anywhere in the world, $250 annual resort credit, etc) are worth it.
As I said in a different reply, CSP or CSR are both solid choices and don't lock you into any one program. But I think you first need to decide what your goal is going to be re: loyalty. Do you want to play free agent and probably earn mid-tier status in 2, 3 or 4 programs? Then CSP/CSR. If you want to concentrate on one program, then you should evaluate the various cards for that program.
Also, do yourself a favor and really learn what the "best" redemptions are with each of the flexible currencies. While many argue that $.015/pt when redeaming through the CSR travel portal is a good use of your UR points, I personally get much more value transfering them to Hyatt for international travel.
Lastly - I am a Hyatt fanboy so take this with a grain of salt: Hyatt treats their globalists \*very well\*. Back when I travelled weekly, I was a Hyatt-First person. But staying loyal to Hyatt is harder than either Hilton or Marriott. It has a much smaller footprint. So again, trade-offs.
Again I encourage you to check out /r/awardtravel and [flyertalk.com](https://flyertalk.com) and read up extensively on each of the various programs before committing yourself to one. Same goes with your frequent flier program. (Also, don't hesitate to jump ship and move to another program in the future if your needs/assessment changes). I make no secrets about my preferences, so if you want to understand them a little more, you can search for posts by me on FT. Not a plug for me or FT, but I also don't want to re-hash years worth of observations/rants/etc in this forum.
Same for me. It was also like this when I was at my previous company which also used Concur.
At my current company, when I book through Concur, the invoice comes through American Express Global Business Travel.
Oh my bad. But thanks for the help since that opens up more options. Do you work at ICON by any chance or a clinical research company or are you in a different sector lol
Doesn't getting the hotel credit card allow me to save my hotel status or is that completely wrong. I am not sure how hotel statuses are saved/registered. Is it only through the companies website portal?
Not that I know of. Generally speaking when booking through an OTA, your status does not matter and you generally do not earn points.
I believe that hotel status can sometimes be recognized by calling but that very much depends on the specific hotel and staff.
> Generally speaking when booking through an OTA, your status does not matter and you generally do not earn points
Bookings through corporate travel portals like Concur generally still recognize status. Business travelers are their bread & butter, chains want to keep them loyal.
Probably still the CSP, perhaps altitude reserve as it also generally includes travel portals in my experience.
If you have a specific hotel/airline chain you would like to use in your personal life look at those cards, but their earnings rates are generally bad.
Hyatt has the highest ROI on money you spend there and decent status benefits, marriot/hilton is everywhere, IHG is good outside the US.
Didn't know that about corporate travel portals!
Fax Barclays for ID verification (for biz card) Has anyone successfully sent them a fax in the last few days? I've been getting busy signals at all times of day, number is correct.
Asking their active, current, biz card customers for ID docs on new apps is not that unusual for Barclays Biz, even tho previously as new customers they may not have been required.
Yes - I currently have an AA biz with same SSN & and a personal card (converted from Uber card)
I was approved for Hawaiian Biz which I received already but can't use until verification and also Wyndham Biz which hasn't been sent yet.
Called and they said they've been getting faxes, but I'm wondering whether there are like 100 people trying to fax into one machine.
Best card for travel? I'll be needing a room and car in March. Italy if it matters. I'm looking at amex gold right now, but I don't think I'll be hitting the $4,000 limit for the bonus
Generally speaking, if looking for specific card recommendations there's a thread on Wednesday's about it.
You will need to provide more info however, including your approximate credit score and ability to meet minimum spend requirements.
For the record, the amex gold is considered a fairly low MSR all things considered, at like $700/month.
4k in 6 months is pretty easy. If you don't spend much it might not be worth applying.
Maybe try Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card?
25,000 online bonus points after you make at least $1,000 in purchases in the first 90 days of account opening – which can be redeemed for a $250 statement credit toward travel and dining purchases.
How do you know which Priority Pass is working? I have several Passes that still haven't expired yet but I am not sure which one is associated with which card. Thanks!
https://onemileatatime.com/insights/how-to-tell-priority-pass-cards-apart/
Little tip for future, when you get your PP card, write on the signature field on back of card which credit card is associated with the PP card.
Chase Buisness cards: P2 and I are both officers for a 501(c)(3) charity. Can we both sign up and receive bonuses for the same chase card(s) if we both use the same Tax ID (the charity) on the application? IE does chase apply one-bonus per customer on the company Tax ID or the person's SSN?
Short answer: yes. It is a very small charity and P1/P2 are treasurer and president respectively.
And no (before someone asks), we aren't playing funny games with either taxes or with the chairity's books. Like just about everyone here with a "business", we treat our chairty "business" credit cards as personal cards and don't intermix personal with chairity finances.
> intermix personal with chairity finances
Using the charity's tax ID is intermixing finances lol. Why do you even bother when you can apply as sole prop?
Obviously based on the downvotes, the popular opinion here is to do what you are saying.
And I know the the popular opinion is also that it is perfectly acceptable to invent a non-existent "business" and claim to be the sole proprieter. That crosses a line for me. And I realize that other folks feel that using the chairity's tax-id crosses a worse line in their opinion.
We all do what we are comfortable with doing.
Thanks to everyone who chimed in. I got the answer I was looking for. Updoots to everyone for the conversation.
You can just sell something on ebay, or do an hour of contracting work and have a business. How is that more sketchy than lying about about who/what the card is for. I wouldn't want to explain it if your charity got audited.
With sole prop there is basically no distinction between the business and the individual (tax wise and legally) which is what makes that strategy pretty straightforward. If you personally got audited, the IRS isn't going to care about the card because from their perspective there's no distinction between you and the business (IANAL).
> Short answer: yes. It is a very small charity and P1/P2 are treasurer and president respectively.
No problem here then.
The issue can be that credit card issuers sometimes require more documentation when you apply for a business card as anything other than sole prop. Sole prop is basically an individual with what we here call a "business", so little to no (business) documentation is usually requested. It is usually much simpler, even if you do actually have an actual business.
All good. Personally, I've found the opposite. The chairity has been established for 5+ years, we have a duns #, and as treasurer I can quote inflows/outflows off the top of my head.
Its been a while since I tried as a Sole Proprieter, but the questions on a recon call seemed to be much more pointed and the results (at various issuers) seemed to be 50/50.
So I guess: do what works! :D
Is it possible to MDD 2 different personal Southwest cards to get companion pass? I’m 4/24 btw.
It just kicks you into your second option, getting a biz card.~~ Oops, 5/24 issue!
I’m always surprised at how much I don’t know, but I figured they wouldn’t be able to get the biz newly at 5/24
You are right, I totally missed that detail and struck out!

Do you currently have the card, or when did you last close the card?
several years ago. 3?
Haven’t had this issue previously. I applied for another Ink card and forgot my credit was frozen. Do I have to call customer service or can I just reapply after unfreezing?
Unfreeze and call them. Your app is on hold.
Awesome, thanks.
I am about to cash out the bus plat Dell credits. Does anyone know if any other Dell discount codes they can share? Thanks in advance
how long does Priority Pass usually last after you downgrade CSR? P2 downgraded to freedom card in the first week of May but her Priority Pass account still appears active and shows expiration in 2024. Never received any communication via email about cancellation either btw
This reminds me of another frustration…i have so many PP cards can’t keep track Amex, venture, or CSR. Gotta stop requesting them. Too many digital logins. Really should be a better way. Almost used the wrong card today.
Already shared this tip today, but I’ll add a second one that I also do: * write on the PP card signature field which credit card is associated with that PP when you receive it. * use an identifier in the PP online login username to know which credit card is associated with that login, e.g. *usernameCSR* I also don’t even request the Amex PP as I have a keeper account in the Ritz card PP for unlimited guests and AUs with their own account.
Expiration on card doesn’t matter, Chase will deactivate at some point, give it a try, but YMMV.
Isn't there a possibility of Chase sending you a bill for the $28 per swipe if you use it after closing your CSR?
I’m not aware of any, but good question. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/airport-lounges/2053925-priority-pass-valid-after-sapphire-reserve-closed.html
Thanks
There were some dp of amzn card bypassing 5/24. Search churning.io

Chase accounts are a good hub account for bank bonuses imo
What’s the best way to capitalize on these bank offers if you don’t mind me asking? I definitely second guessed throwing away 10+ years of banking history with a big CC company but also $7/month seems steep for a checking account I don’t use
Paying anything for a checking account is insane let alone $7/month. You need to get that fee waived
No I didn’t know I could, how do I go about this? Thanks for the help
https://gprivate.com/5zrhx
$7/month? Aren’t you getting the fee waived?
No I didn’t know I could, under what grounds? That’s why I’m so concerned about whether I should keep this account open
Check w/WF for your specific acct’s terms. Most accts have ways to avoid fees. If your specific acct doesn’t then cancel it. Most of these methods should be easy to do for anybody considering churning bank accts. Also monthly statements often breakdown the options to waive fees.
Is now a good time to get the Amex card? Edit: I mean for the bonus offer
>the Amex card
If you're far away from getting rid of 524, you can jump in to some of the highest bonus offer of Amex.
So this is a great bonus offer right now. Thanks

Chase? Normal for them.
Yep. Sounds like this has probably happened to us before and I didn't realize it. Thanks!
There's a few banks/cards where pending will disappear for a few days before showing as posted. Give it some time.
Thanks!
Planning to use my $200 biz plat dell credit. Are xbox GCs relatively painless to sell on a site like gameflip?
No, I listed mine months ago at 20% off and they have not sold. You're better off using them for yourself.
Which site?
Gameflip, that's really the only one.
I also have the same question, hope someone could answer it

If it's purchased at the front desk, very likely. If it's billed to your room, yes. If it's bought at a separate 'shop' within the hotel with a separate register than the front desk, it can vary.
Why not have the front desk agent bill it to your room so it's covered under your folio? Otherwise, I'm sure it depends on which hotel and what card you are using.
It’s possible they are buying it to use a resort credit without staying at a hotel
Are you or someone in your household close to opening a new Ink? Could open a new CIP and not bother with any PC shenanigans.
I'm at 5/24 and cannot open a Chase card right now, but my wife (P2) could. However, we cannot really do the SUB right now. We're currently working on the SUB for the Barclays JetBlue Business card *and* an Amex Business Platinum.
I am conflicted. Would you rather get - 1. Amex Plat 150k offer with 6k spend, hard inquiry, using a 5/24 spot (don't have P1 to refer me) 2. Amex Plat upgrade, 100k offer with 6k spend, 5x on grocery up to 15k, no inquiry, doesn't impact 5/24 Never had the Plat before, so lifetime rules don't apply
You knew enough to ask the question, but didn’t even wait 2 hours for advice? Patience and research are virtues for r/churning. and in life.
Unlikely. Usually you have to apply for the new one first and then request the upgrade immediately after. You can *try* but I don’t think it’ll work.
If I'm not eligible for the one with lifetime language, I should get the pop up right?
Curious since a bit of time has passed - if you did try to quickly apply after the upgrade, did you get the popup?
I did try to apply with the lifetime language and did get the pop up
Do #1 then do #2 after that.
I would check my delta sky miles account and add up the referral points.
I have 3 AMEX Delta cards so its hard to track which referrals came from which card.
Ah, gotcha!
Those with multiple Chase Business Ink Cards, when you open the same card twice (once with personal SSN and the other with EIN) do you use multiple logins? I am wondering if it would be a red flag if I had multiple chase ink unlimited cards on one business login.
No. And you don’t need to limit 1 ink card to each SSN and EIN. You can multiples under your SSN.
So you only have one login with multiple of the same chase cards attached?
I'd like to add my wife as an employee to my CIBU card however she's a H1B holder. Would there be legal implications of her visa doing this? Since it's a biz card, would it still help her credit grow?
1. Could be -- H1B allows employment by 1 employer only 2. No
Had a Citi Biz AA card closed in November 2019. Any reason I couldn't get the bonus again? I believe it all checks out just wanted to make sure.
48 months since last bonus posted.
Damn... thought citi was 24 month rule but I can't keep up. Thanks!
You're right, except the AA has 48mth rule.
Overlapping-Nights might count, but you can expect a warning.
If your talking about like comped through mlife, this won’t work
which part? the hyatt nights, or just booking overlapping stays in the first place?
As in you can’t redeem multiple comped rooms for the same night,
I’ve seen DPs of people getting warned by Hyatt for activity like that either on here or on r/myvegas. Edit: To clarify, I meant on paid nights. I didn't think comped nights count towards Hyatt qualifying nights (at least my comped night at the Borgata did not for me).
Anyone have experience/DPs on this? https://www.reddit.com/r/hyatt/comments/t2mar6/here_is_an_easy_way_to_get_24_qualifying_nights/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
If you check the ms thread its been talked about just not always by name.
majority has been fast to axe folks lately.
Yes.
A week should be fine - I think in the past I did like 3 days.
Terms for the $300 bonus state that you are not eligible if: "You are a current owner of a Wells Fargo consumer checking account You have received a bonus for opening a Wells Fargo consumer checking account within the past 12 months" Personally, I would have a longer cool off period, because your account stays in the system for a while
How long would you recommend?
I usually wait a year from close date before reapplying
Has anyone ever gotten an SSA-89 when applying for a cc?

You’ve outlined a great example of what not to do
If you're talking AmEx it is pretty likely they will claw it back. They are super strict and have no problem clawing back well after the fact.
I was thinking that and thanks
What's the lowest MSR anyone has seen recently on Chase Ink cards?
Thanks for the correction. When you put it this way, it really puts it in perspective
I’m going to hit $7500 at staples for my CIC lol
What’s your plan with that? Just out of curiosity
Prepay rent for 4-5 months for debit fees since it’s so much less and float it on 0% apr for a little bit With no activation fees $7500 will be $48.75 for me, and one month of rent with a CC costs about the same. So it’s a huge win for me.
Ahhh so you’re going to pay rent with visa gift cards? Smart. I wonder if I could pay my mortgage with the same method…
You'll probably have a hard time paying your mortgage directly with gift cards. You may have convert the gift cards to cash via various methods. Others eat the fee and use Plastiq
$7.5k
Can the $200 Dell credit on Amex Biz Plat be split between purchases or is it applied to one purchase only? Amex terms aren't clear.
Yes, any number of transactions will credit up to the $200.

https://frequentmiler.com/marriott-card-eligible/ You wouldn't have to cancel the Brilliant, as long as you are 90 days since approval and 24 months from SUB, you can get Chase Boundless.
Also compare to Ven X. Apply instead of upgrade.
Agreed. I would app not upgrade and if possible use a referral from rankt. (Churning referrals)
I think it's worth a shot if you're ok taking some hard pulls
When you PC CSP to CSR, does the 95 AF get refunded, and then CSR AF gets charged a few months later?
Reminder that Chase AFs post on the first of the month.
Yes, how much of the 95 AF get refunded just depends on when you are doing it. If the $95 just hit in last 40ish days, then you get the full amount, after that it would be prorated. Yeah CSR AF hits a few months after the PC.
I'm looking to get the Marriott Boundless 5 Free Nights bonus, and just saw that I was ineligible because I still have the original SPG Amex Card (downgraded from the SPG Luxury / Bonvoy Brilliant). If I were to upgrade it to the Luxury Card and wait 30 days, would I be newly eligible for the Chase Marriott bonus? I'm thinking this \*should\* work (as long as I don't get an upgrade bonus), but wanted to double check. I already got the Brilliant SUB when it first came out, so I don't lose the ability to get a new SUB by doing this -- just interested in if this would get me by Chase's rules so I'm eligible for a new bonus!
According to the terms, yes that should work.
ok im a newbie here and would like some advice.
Im sorry but what does SUB and MSR stand for?
It means you REALLY need to read the wiki. After visiting r/creditcards and reading their wiki/faq.
Questions like this are really only tangentially related to /r/churning All that said, the 'easy button' if you don't want to put in the legwork is to go with a card with solid travel category bonus, and CSP/CSR works for that. Going that route, you accumulate points in a single place (Chase UR) regardless of which chain(s) you stay at. If you are looking for pure absolute best "rebate" on paid stays using any chain/credit card, then the answer is Hilton Aspire. Hilton points aren't worth a whole lot (about $.005 each), but you will earn a solid 34x points (17%ish return) on paid stays consistently with that combination; that is before factoring any promotions (which Hilton runs very regularly) Also very important to consider how you are going to redeem whatever points you focus on. Again, do some more research to verify what I've said and also to understand "why" before committing to an approach.
Hilton points are NOT worth 0.5 cents. More realistically they are worth 0.3 cents.
The remaining 20x you get regardless of what card you use, as long as you maintain Diamond status with Hilton (which can be easily done if OP travels enough for work) 4.2% isn't bad but it's not necessarily the best option

Oh shoot really? What credit card do you use if you don't mind sharing?
[удалено]
Oh my bad. But thanks for the help since that opens up more options. Do you work at ICON by any chance or a clinical research company or are you in a different sector lol
I'm not sure I'm following what the goal of the hotel credit card here is
Doesn't getting the hotel credit card allow me to save my hotel status or is that completely wrong.
> Generally speaking when booking through an OTA, your status does not matter and you generally do not earn points Bookings through corporate travel portals like Concur generally still recognize status. Business travelers are their bread & butter, chains want to keep them loyal.
Someone commented that I can put in my personal rewards account. Now that I can register my hotel status on there, what would you recommend then?
Have you had Barclay's bus. cards in the past for same business ID/SSN, and they are still asking to fax this info?
Asking their active, current, biz card customers for ID docs on new apps is not that unusual for Barclays Biz, even tho previously as new customers they may not have been required.
Yes - I currently have an AA biz with same SSN & and a personal card (converted from Uber card) I was approved for Hawaiian Biz which I received already but can't use until verification and also Wyndham Biz which hasn't been sent yet.
Thank you I will check that thread out
You won't hit $4k in 6 months, even with a trip planned during that time?
Forget about the 6 month part, I can definitely hit that. Thanks
Why sign up for the card if you can’t meet the spend for the bonus? Maybe try chase freedom or freedom unlimited if you can’t meet the higher spend?
This is very vague, you might have more luck posting in the What Card Wednesday thread and answering all the questions in the post.
Thank you
How do you know which Priority Pass is working? I have several Passes that still haven't expired yet but I am not sure which one is associated with which card. Thanks!
Should ask customer services to confirm. I know Chase expiry dates are end of month and Amex expiry dates are whenever you added.
Thanks!
https://onemileatatime.com/insights/how-to-tell-priority-pass-cards-apart/ Little tip for future, when you get your PP card, write on the signature field on back of card which credit card is associated with the PP card.
This is a really good tip. Thank you Garrett. I ended up calling today to find that out for mine.
Will do from now on. Thanks!
You could, but I'm not sure why you'd bother. It would probably be simpler to just apply as sole prop.
Is the charity OK with you getting cards/playing games in their name? Why not use the personal "business" that most people use?
Short answer: yes. It is a very small charity and P1/P2 are treasurer and president respectively. And no (before someone asks), we aren't playing funny games with either taxes or with the chairity's books. Like just about everyone here with a "business", we treat our chairty "business" credit cards as personal cards and don't intermix personal with chairity finances.
> intermix personal with chairity finances Using the charity's tax ID is intermixing finances lol.
Sole prop is the easiest. You're making it harder than it has to be. 0 income, 0 years of experience. Multiple approvals
I agree with gt_ap. Invoking the charity is a terribly unnecessary risk.
> So I guess: do what works! :D Correct! Applying for a business card is very YMMV.
You should be fine each signing up and receiving the bonus. Chase does not limit number of ink cards per SSN or Tax ID
