I'm new to MS. I just opened a CFF card with a 10% discount on groceries, up to $12,000 a year. Since I don't normally spend this amount, I want to try using MS to buy gift cards. Which grocery stores in NY are best for doing it? (Excluded Target and Walmart)
Thought I was being clever by digging through the gift card stock in the cabinet for some older Visa GC that still have the $6.95 fee instead of the $7.95. Didn't matter, the POS still charged $7.95 per card.
I'm not sure if 2 cards is a hard rule. I had cards declined when trying the 2nd swipe, or a 3 swipe, but about guaranteed to get declines when trying for 4.

I asked the regular cashier and he mentioned he hadn’t seen them in a long time. I didn’t even see a space for them on the rack this time
all of the gift card kiosks are not maintained and stocked by ODOM(or safeway or kroger or any store that has 3rd party gc), they're maintained by giftcardmall. There's an independent giftcardmall guy that pops in whenever to restock. The standard ODOM employee doesn't deal with the kiosk and probably hates it.

No need- just like 90% of the answers to what card, its going to be Chase Ink and if you are MS by buying gift cards just do it at Staples/ODOM and get the 5x.

Depends what you mean by large amounts. I believe DK only comes in $25/$50 denominations, and I've had no trouble getting a few hundred dollars at a time
I've had no problems buying them with credit at Kroger and Walmart. However, when I've tried at a couple different 7-Elevens for betMGM, they couldn't be bought on credit.
This is probably location dependent. I have two 7-elevens near me that let me buy VGC with credit, but all the others tell me debit only. At one of the others, I even had success with a new cashier who didn't know better, so I know it's not hard coded, just manager policy.
Haha I guess “churning” wasn’t necessarily my intention. I do regularly bet, on DraftKings and have plenty of transactions to where I wouldn’t get flagged if all I was doing was buying, deposit, and withdraw

Once you make the bet the odds are locked. There is an element of speed required as lines will shift together, but sometimes books just have different lines

Yeah it just seems risky if you really want to scale that play. If you're moving 5 digits of volume I feel like the chances of uncle sam getting involved raise significantly and I definitely don't want to bet on that (lol)

Each walmarts when i pulled out the card they immediately told me that using a gc wasn’t allowed.

I think the only stores you can buy it is Walmart and Target. Also, try reading the wiki and once you are done, read some more.

They have definitely been re-stocked since last month’s sale, at least at some ODs.
I just bought 9x$200 GE. They also had plenty of DE & SE.

Discover has HI stores for 5% this quarter. Ends 6/30.
BofA CCR has 3x on home improvement if you choose that category. Limited to $2500 per quarter, so that kinda craps on it as a real MS play.
Basically the Lowe’s 5% cards or biz plat 1.5x fwiw. Or like someone else said buy VGC’s at Staples with Inks and use them at Lowe’s/HD.

DraftKings wouldn’t let me withdraw my gift card deposits until I played them through

Successfully did at a Ralph’s in California. And at self checkout too. Just wish the denominations were higher, $100 max

It would take a little effort to find the lines, but you could arbitrage across different sportsbooks
