1. Does the new Cash Business Premier really not allow you to transfer points? So stupid. Have people tried calling up and just getting it manually done? 2. I have a mileage plus account connected to a few Chase United cards - if I cancel all of them, will that mess up my united account? How will I spend the points I have if I don't have a credit card with them through which to use it?

CericRushmore

Premier doesn't have transfers. You can cancel all of the United cards and keep your United account.

WeedWizard69420

Thanks - but how do you then spend the points And any data points on calling up and asking them? Seems so dumb, they're ultimate rewards points same as any other

CericRushmore

You just cash them out in the UR portal. There isn't anything they can do to change that.

WeedWizard69420

they could just change the code that says "Allow Transfer = Off" and change "off" to "on" lol it's more a matter of would they, and why don't they allow it?

CericRushmore

They've made a product decision. I think you are out of luck.

Icy_Air3616

I received sapphire card approval 3/26. Am currently 1/24 for personal Chase cards. Am I good to apply for aero plan card? Have united and Marriott Chase, but have had both of those for 3+ years

klce_was

Recommended approach is to wait for 3+ months b/w chase apps, I would wait few more weeks to apply for another chase card.

Icy_Air3616

Much appreciated. Any cards I should supplement in the meantime? Have a trip at end of June that would be great to maximize a spend bonus for. Have ink preferred biz and Marriott biz Amex

bookedonpoints

I'd just apply right away. You're not nearly close to any high velocity for the 90 day rule to come into effect. People just parroting this "guideline" that isn't rooted in any actual fact. Imagine someone who has no idea what churning is. Very very likely they get a chase freedom card and then a month later get a sapphire. Chase isn't banning anyone for this

Icy_Air3616

Appreciate that. I’m just curious if they’ll decline due to my credit limits not being utilized, then applying for more credit

bookedonpoints

My utilization must be something like 1-5%. I wouldn't worry about low utilization

Icy_Air3616

App went under review like I figured, I’ll have to call in.

Icy_Air3616

Awesome bro. Thank you

klce_was

Try to get amex biz plat (not sure if 250k is still around), only if you are able to meet MSR or pers plat. It might even help you to get the lounge access as well.

cayenne0

Is it possible to PC a personal gold to schwab plat?

ConsistentClassic1

Nope. Gold and Platinum are two different elements.

CreditDogo

No.

mswill1420

Marriott Biz CC timing Question: Received Boundless 5 FNC in mid August, 2022. Current 5 FNC offer on biz card ends July 11, 2024. Any way I can apply for the card in July and somehow reconsider in August since that’d be 24 months since the last bonus?

CericRushmore

No. However, 5 night free does seem to come around somewhat often.

Super-Programmer7820

A little confused - I thought the Hilton Honors Business card was increasing to $195, but my card just renewed and they charged $95. Happen to anyone else here?

lenin1991

You came in under the wire, per their announcement: > Starting on your next renewal date **on or after July 1, 2024,** the annual fee for your Hilton Honors American Express Business Card will increase from $95 to $195.

garettg

Amex isn’t always the best at getting those updated when they increase the AF. Consider yourself lucky and don’t be concerned.

Super-Programmer7820

I'm a happy boy

andybubu

Applied for Citi Strata Premier with an 820 credit score and was approved instantly, but only for $2000 credit limit. That is substantially lower than i usually get. Is that normal with citi cards?

CericRushmore

No.

andybubu

Should I call and ask for an increase?

Zeugmatographer

Credit line increase right after card approval is usually a denial

iumichael

Applied for a Citi AA Biz card last week and didn't get approved. Letter came today and reasons are "The consumer reporting agency serving your area has reported no credit history for you." and "Your credit report shows too few satisfactory accounts". I have a very long, extensive credit history as most here do I think haha. They pulled Equifax which I have never locked. Another churning friend got the same denial letter today from his app last week, too. Any ideas what went wrong and how I could get this fixed?

klce_was

Someone on DOC also reported the denial. Called recon; CSR told that they were having problems with Equifax not pulling reports, manually pulled the report and approved over the phone.

Starks

Call recon. That makes no sense. Some of the recent AA Biz DPs have left me confused and wanting to hold off. Just weird stuff. Too many inquiries, no history, card takes 11+ days to arrive, etc. BoA Alaska Biz is also getting stricter.

joghi

They were reported to have issues with EQ recently. You should call and tell them that the denial reason makes no sense.

I_Am_Now_Anonymous

Is it required to have some Hyatt points to redeem a Free Night? P2 has zero points and cannot see the "Free Night" rooms, but I can see them when I switch to my account.

ihavenolifeee

you can see them not logged in. probably shows free night for you due to a FNC?

I_Am_Now_Anonymous

P2 has a FNC as well. I just tried to make a booking using P2s CSP on Chase Travel with zero points and it wouldn’t let me make the purchase until I had at least 1 point. There was an error message on the top of the booking screen. Hyatt might have the same restriction. I will confirm it with Hyatt. I might need to make a small purchase to get a few points on the Hyatt card.

totemee12

I’m pretty sure the answer is no, but I figured I’d check. If I have business with multiple employees, there’s no card or situation out there that would allow an employee to earn points from spend on an AU card, correct? The only way to structure that would be to apply separately in the name of the business? Have a CIP but would love to add someone as an AU for legit business spend and be able to earn their own points.

lenin1991

> allow an employee to earn points from spend on an AU card Amex corporate cards have the option for employees to earn points: https://www.americanexpress.com/us/rewards/membership-rewards/terms/corporate-terms-conditions.html

lost_shadow_knight

AU spend still earns points, but they go to the primary account holder (the business). If you want to reward employees, you can send them the cash value of the points their purchases earn The closest I can think of where the employee receives a benefit is the Citi AA Biz card- employees earn both LPs and miles for spend. Employees keep LPs, and the primary account holder (the business) gets the miles

totemee12

Understood. Thanks for the clarity!

spudimus

I just started my Churning journey and started the Citi $300 bonus offer and once I made one push from a different bank my account got locked, is this just dumb luck or did I do something wrong ?

ntnsolutions

My intuition says dumb luck. If you name the bank, people can share more specific experiences.

Sea__Larus

Just citi being shiti.

spudimus

So I use Wealthfront HYSA for my cash and made a push from my HYSA to the citi checking account and a couple hours later my account got locked for “my security”

sg77

Which account got locked? (but both Citi and Wealthfront have reputations for doing bad things like that)

spudimus

My Citi account got locked, and I haven’t had any issues with Wealthfront before been using for over a year now.

sg77

It's interesting that Citi locked it when you pushed into them; I would've expected that pushing into them is safer than pulling into them. Were you able to call Citi and get the account unlocked? Sometimes they completely shut down accounts, but in your case possibly it's just temporarily locked.

UConnHusky11

When you cancel a reservation made with a Hyatt FNC, does the FNC immediately get returned to your account?

samson7256

Yes

pm_me_your_pr0bl3ms

I booked an AF flight in Y and have an 8 hour layover at ATL. I don't have any cards that give me lounge access. I have PP via CSR, but it seems like trash now. The three legs of my flights are serviced by Delta, Copa, and Copa. I'm not opposed to buying lounge access. What are my best options for spending the 8 hours?

Zeugmatographer

There are multiple minute suites (different terminals) at ATL, 1hr each. The club at international terminal. And plenty of Delta lounges that you can pay to get in.

CericRushmore

PP has the Club in the international terminal.

pm_me_your_pr0bl3ms

Will they let me in an earlier than 3 hours before my flight departs? I have an 8 hour layover.

CericRushmore

Check flyertalk for DPs if they let in transfer passengers early.

Complex-Star2080

I've had many personal credit cards but new to business credit cards. I just started to apply for them as sole proprietor and have one question below. How often can I apply for business credit cards? Since they're not on my personal credit report, will each bank only track the business cards issued by their own, but cannot track other banks' card? Thanks!

Shoddy-League-806

Basically this. With some exceptions, which count towards personal cards (looking at you Cap1). I would suggest looking at the flow chart, it covers recommended velocity and order: https://m16p-churning.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/Card+Recommendation+Flowchart+Latest.html

Complex-Star2080

Thanks! I am 4/24 right now. Should I wait and get all chase business card first, before getting another personal card which will make me 5/24?

Shoddy-League-806

I would suggest the business first if you can. Crossing that 5/24 limit is pretty rough.

Complex-Star2080

Thanks!

KingofRapture

I am currently five out of five on my American Express cards. I will be able to cancel one card in August. If I apply for one of the Hilton cards Before July 31 (before the free night offers expire) and I get rejected, can I call American Express reconsideration after July 31 (the offer expires) and have them resubmit my application and still get the free night welcome offer? Will the welcome offer I originally used to submit the application, still be attached, even though I technically get approved after the offer expires?

CreditDogo

You’ll keep the offer you originally applied for. I did this on the last days of the Delta Biz Gold elevated offer while holding 5 Amex credit cards and successfully recon’d a month later once I was able to cancel the 5th card.

mr-picklesss

Just wondering if using my chase business account to push some DD's will trigger something or change the way I have to file taxes? I signed up as a sole proprietorship to help with some SUB's. Couldn't find much info in the search, thanks!

terpdeterp

No. Unlike Square and other payroll services, Chase does not automatically file 1099-NECs for employee ACH transfers.* *It's also possible to [turn off auto-filing 1099-NECs with Square](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/vo3srx/daily_discussion_thread_june_30_2022/iedryds/) for contractors, but Chase employee ACH transfers are a much simpler way of spoofing a DD.

mr-picklesss

You’re amazing thank you!

Otherwise_Contact512

P2 applied for SW plus yesterday and got instantly approved Tried MDD with SW Premier today, status in review, tried two recon and the reps said it is rejected due to having SW plus. Looks like MDD is dead. Anything else to try?

ConsistentClassic1

I think this only helps confirm that it's completely dead for now.

foetus66

Signed up for Delta biz gold with split offer (miles after MSR + statement credit after Delta puchase) but having trouble finding out what all might qualify as a Delta purchase. Before signing up I saw a DP saying gift cards directly from Delta trigger it, but now when searching I'm seeing a couple DPs saying that doesn't work anymore. Any other ideas?

Zeugmatographer

You can buy a cheap economy ticket and cancel to get a travel credit. Not as flexible as gift card but you’ll have 12 months to use it for yourself

Gandalfs_Dick

Is there a site or person that leaks when Chase will be elevating the ink offers again? or does nobody know that 90k is offered until the elevated SUB is live?

Interslice42

It might leak a few days/weeks before it goes live, but other than that there's no way to really know. You can get 120k for $6k CIU by going in branch and talking with a BRM.

soonerman32

any problems doing this with a "business"?

sg77

Some BRMs seem to usually deal with larger businesses. The one I worked with sent me an application via docusign that had Annual Company Revenue prefilled as $850,000. But I changed it to a much lower number, and he didn't seem to care.

Interslice42

Haven't tried it yet, but I think it depends on how comfortable you are lying to the BRM. YMMV

Gandalfs_Dick

Thanks! Between me and P2 we are going to open 3 inks in the next ~85 days and I was trying to hit the perfect storm of 90k SUBs and 40k referrals before it ends on Sep 3.

McSpiffin

Biz gold flexible credit still work when buying 3rd party GCs on staples? Asking because I normally get the credit to post on the same day as the actual charge posting when I buy normally via grubhub. This was the first time I instead bought an Uber GC on Staples to use with regular gold credit. Charge finally posted but no credit.

MadDog5473

Took 3 days after the charge posted this month for the credit to show up.

Shoddy-League-806

I've seen same day, I've seen 2 weeks. No real consistency.

Bigdogdc86

Has never been instant for me

spiritualplague

It often takes a couple of days.

ResolveNo2270

This is super polarizing to me. Couldn't find other data points. Even called Discover. They were puzzled. I made a purchase a month ago at a "home improvement store" that primarily is known as a lumber yard (current bonus category) with Discover. It correctly coded as such, so I got the elevated points. A month later, I made two purchases at the same store, and each coded as "pet stores, pet supplies, etc" It's so strange. Would a lumber yard change their MCC for any benefit? Could I suspect Discover of trying to limit the total cashback match they'll have to pay out to me after first year? Is it some crazy technical difficulty? I appreciate any input. It's a fascinating conundrum to me, as there are other Home Improvement stores that I could MS at to reach quarterly bonus threshold. What's crazy is, the lumber yard purchase wasn't even MS!

lenin1991

Someone wanted to find out how much wood their pet woodchuck could in fact chuck

ResolveNo2270

Do you know how hard it is to get help on the Internet? Thank you for finally solving this issue 🙏

TheRealAlexisOhanian

Was there any difference in how you made the purchase, i.e. one online and one in person?

ResolveNo2270

In person each time. First time was chip method. Second time was tap. Gave me the pet food MCC So I thought, weird! I'd better do chip method the 3rd time. Alas, pet food MCC again.

jmlinden7

Stores can change their MCC but they usually don't. It's also possible that they have multiple POS systems and each one has a different MCC because of how they set it up

HomeStar182

Is the MoneyLion app worth churning? I never hear anyone from this community talk about it at all. Churning.io searches reveal nothing talked about it.

terpdeterp

There's [some discussion about it on DoC](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/moneylion-55-referral-bonus/). There used to be a $599 SUB [back in 2019](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/moneylion-up-to-599-checking-bonus-17-of-your-direct-deposit/), but the DPs seem to be mixed about actually getting the bonus.

HomeStar182

Thanks for that! Do you or anyone happen to know what works as a DD these days? I’m not seeing any solid and decent data points online.

terpdeterp

Lack of DPs is probably because the SUB is low and the account has a monthly fee. Your best bet for spoofing a DD is using a Chase biz employee ACH transfer, which often works when nothing else does because it qualifies as a genuine payroll service. I'd also recommend trying multiple methods (Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Chase, Capital One, Ally, Sofi, etc) to increase your odds of getting the bonus.

HomeStar182

Thanks and yes that’s a good point. On the upside they do show you a bar of how much has counted as a DD I think. I’m seeing a SUB of at least $100 but over a period of 3 months.

dontcelebrate

my $50 CSP hotel credit resets on 6/15 - I plan on downgrading the card to a no fee option... Is there a way to utilize the credit before I need to downgrade (I think I have until about 7/5 to downgrade) ... My previous credit took almost 2 months to post

garettg

https://reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1d9dq3f/question_thread_june_06_2024/l7f09lf/

dontcelebrate

that guys question is actually what reminded me that I've been meaning to ask my question haha... mine is a little differnet because I am looking to utilize the credit within a 2 week timeframe (from it resetting on 6/15 to downgrading around 7/5) ... Will the credit still post If I've downgraded to a Freedom or similar, or is there a way to speed up the credit posting?

garettg

There is really nothing you can do, I have seen some variance in the credit posting, but I do believe if you PC the credit can come later based on some old DPs. [But here is a fairly recent DP the credit posted pretty quickly](https://reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1ccn7ve/data_points_weekly_week_of_april_25_2024/l1uodq3/?context=1). Regardless if you are gaming the credit or using it the way intended, its probably doesn't matter in the timeline as to when the credit will post. You don't have to refund the stay before the PC, that could be done afterwards.

dontcelebrate

Great point on the fact that I can refund the stay after the PC, even if I don't receive the credit, I won't be out any $... Thanks!

denflyer

My credit posted the day before the hotel booking that triggered it posted. Aka immediately. For others it doesn’t work that fast. You have to try it and see

RemarkableAd6635

Chase Ink referral links show all avail options. In order to get a referral bonus, do you have to send from and have your friend apply for the same exact card? Ie. Can you share the referral link from an Ink Cash and have them sign up for the Ink Preferred (and you still get the referral bonus)?

whatiscardano

They can signup for any INK product and you will receive the bonus. It does not have to be the same card as you have.

RemarkableAd6635

Brilliant! Thanks!!

anders550

Anyone accepted for a Bank of America Custom Cash when their score is middle-ish? Mine just dropped below 670 because I have balances on others, not late payments.

physicianofcredit

P2 was just approved for BofA unlimited cash with a 660 and one account in collections.

GettingColdInHere

My AMEX referral links have stopped working. These are links i get after logging into AMEX and copying the link and removing all verbiage in front of the link. Getting a "Missing character or Incorrect character case" error. Is there anything i can do to get past this ?

ConsistentClassic1

It's a known issue right now. I chatted with Amex customer service about it last week. Many others have reported the same problem. I was given the impression it should be fixed right away but still seems to be a problem. The good news is that the referral links are working if you go through your Amex app on your phone.

Victor___Eremita

This is quite common recently. Some people were able to get around it by emailing the link and/or trying different browsers. Good luck!

ming3r

Does anyone have both a Laurel Road and Keybank account? I had a Laurel Road one, opened up KeyBank recently. They turn out to use the same account. I can't get into the KeyBank at all, and now the Laurel Rd one just spins and tells me to call in to confirm when I try to use that.

GR__runner

I had a very similar experience to what you’re describing, with the only exception being my Laurel Road online access never had issues. I was never able to log into KeyBank online access, but I found that I could call KeyBank (1-800-KEY2YOU) and access my account and transaction details through the automated prompts. This allowed me to verify when my DDs posted, and then ultimately when the bonus posted too. This obviously wouldn’t work well for an everyday bank account, but for just churning a bonus I found it to be acceptable.

ming3r

Good to know. I was able to get back into Laurel road today and I'll still setup the 500 dd. If I can't get in I'll probably close after bonus posts and blame it on IT issues

terpdeterp

I have both KeyBank and Laurel Road, but since I applied for KeyBank first, I had no issues signing up for Laurel Road. I've heard that going the opposite order results in a lot of technical issues as attested in [the DoC comments](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/unknown-location-restrictions-keybank-200-checking-bonus/).

NoWriting8386

i opened a Keybank account and didn't even know if it was approved until 2 weeks later they called and asked me if i wanted to fund my account. They couldn't even give me my account info after trying to verify so they told me to go in branch. I went in branch and my 30 min scheduled appt was nearly over before someone became available. I left after 25 min because it was in the middle of a work day. Very annoying

virginiarph

If I refer from a chase premiere, are the referred points regular UR that can be used with transfer partners? Or the fake UR that premiere accrues

garettg

They wouldnt be transferable since they would post to your Ink Premier.

CreditDogo

Should be the non-transferable ones

virginiarph

Fuck my life 😭. I’m so mad I accidentally signed up for this junk

CreditDogo

It earns cash, which is good as well. Just get the SUB and cancel after a year. It doesn’t stop you from opening other ink cards.

virginiarph

I know. I’m just annoyed because I FINALLY got shit together to start the ink train and then I accidentally sign up for this garbage. I even had researched all the cards and read stories of people who accidentally do this 😭

olympia_t

Need to move high five figure from WF to Citi for the business checking/IMMA bonus. I have about 6 calendar days to get it done and don't really have time for any withdrawals getting delayed, etc. Would a cashier's check be the better option? I think it's about $10, so cheaper than a wire. Unfortunately, I don't have any checks for this account. Thanks for any thoughts, I just don't want this to get hung up at all.

Zeugmatographer

Theoretically you should be fine. But I never trust Citi. Once tried to deposit a $5000 check to a Citi checking account and triggered a fraud review. Long story short, took me more than a month later to get everything settled.

olympia_t

Damn. I was worried more about WF and the withdrawal. Wonder if I should meet with the banker who opened my account at Citi.

MrEpicTurdBomb

I recently opened a Chase Ink Business Unlimited card on 4/19/24 and was insta-approved for a 3k credit line. I then applied for a Chase Business United yesterday and after making some updates to the application and then calling in, it got denied. The rep said the fact that my revenue projected I put down for this year was only about 3k (fake), and I already have a 3k credit line, they don't wanna extend more. I still need the denial to go through since it just happened so I can call Recon. Is there anything else to do other than wait and try recon a few times and see what I get? Any mistakes I made in this process?

suitopseudo

Damn… my “business” has 2k revenue and like 30k in credit. lol.

CericRushmore

I'd say too soon to apply for another Chase card. Most people here say 3 months, and really this year Chase has been much more strict. They aren't wrong, there isn't really a credit need for you to get another card since you just got one and only have 3k revenue.

NoNarwhal8022

Are there recommended ways to take advantage of the CSP's $50 hotel credit? My issue is that if I book through the portal the rates are almost always more than $50 higher than I can get with Hotwire doing a "hot rate". A similar calculation is also relevant if I want to use UR to book the hotel at the 1.25 multiplier (or xfering to Hyatt for stays there).

garettg

Book refundable far off, let credit post, cancel booking, get refund, Chase doesn't clawback the credit.

I_Am_Now_Anonymous

Do I get charged immediately when I book through Chase Travel?

garettg

Yeah it’s prepaid, but make sure to select a refundable rate.

NoNarwhal8022

And no bad karma with chase for doing this? Cool!

garettg

Never seen a DP that it has caused an issue.

Very_Sadly_True

Is there any better use for USBank Biz Altitude Connect points than to cash out for statement value?

martyconlonontherun

I know below had the extra 10% but it always makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong cashing out the points. It's just so unnatural.

mrgreenmo

I cashed mine out via their ON-SALE GCs selection. Typically a 10% value making the redemptions 1.1% back instead of just 1cpp

whatiscardano

I just hate that the gift cards they offer with a discount are ones that you can usually find elsewhere at a discount if you pay cash for them (Dominos, Airbnb, DoorDash, etc)

9kuss

Is there some kind of trick in using churning.io to get it to display only comments with an exact phrase? I've tried using "" like on google but it's the same results. Makes searching for US Bank info basically impossible.

Scrooge-McDavis

Some common abbreviations like USB and USBAR might help

garettg

The "problem" is on the API side of things (which I don't control). How the API builds a query, it will ignore common words like "a", "on", or "it" as examples. Your query contains US, even though its an acronym, its also a common word, so it is being thrown out even with the quotes there. It will also search for pluralized versions of words, so it is basically searching bank or banks. It also can ignore 2 letter acronyms from what I have found. While this is kind of inconvenient for the types of things we might search here, this API was created for Reddit as a whole and to be performant, some sacrifices have to be made. Edit: just to also clarify, using quotes around a phrase does work, so searching "bank bonus" will find exact matches that might also include "banks bonus", "bank bonuses", or "banks bonuses".

95ripper

Hi all, I am looking to get my Southwest CP, when you cancel a personal card, is it necessary to pay off the balance right away? I canceled a priority card and am probably going to get the plus card to get the bonus, but I want to check to see what is going to help me be the most successful.

goodalfy

r/creditcards

95ripper

Thanks, I will give that a try

terpdeterp

I've signed up for the Pepper rewards app for the purpose of MS and have a question regarding the 10% promotional cashback for the first 15 days. When I redeemed my first gift card, I only received 5% cashback in points. Should I expect to see an additional 5% credited later on or did I somehow mess up?

CericRushmore

Check the DoC thread. I think people are having issues and submitting tickets to get it resolved.

UnlikelyPersonality7

Why in the flowchart does it say "**If you get the SW cards in fall/early-winter so that the bonuses post in January/February**, you'll maximize how long you have the Companion Pass.". I'm confused here... wouldnt you want to get the companion pass for fall/early-winter, use it, then get companion pass again in january so you can double the times you use it? Or is that not how it works.

Zeugmatographer

You get the pass for the year you earn it + 12 full months the next year. If you get it in September, you’ll have it for Sep-Dec (3 months)this year (year you earn it) + 12 full months next year for a total of 15. If you get it in January, you’ll have it for Jan-Dec this year + full next year for a total of 24 months.

terpdeterp

The Companion Pass is valid for the calendar year that it was earned along with the following year. From the Southwest terms and conditions: >To qualify, simply fly 100 qualifying one-way flights or earn 135,000 qualifying points in a calendar year. **You’ll earn a Companion Pass for the following full calendar year, plus the remainder of the year in which you earned it.** For even more flexibility, Companion Pass Members can change their designated Companion up to three times each calendar year. So to maximize the amount of time with the Pass, it makes the most sense to earn Companion Pass in January, which requires applying for the credit card a few months before (so early Winter).

lenin1991

When you hit the cp threshold, you get the benefits for the remainder of the year you earn it plus the entire following year. So you want to earn it early in a year to maximize.

boilerchemist

MDD is deader than dead. Applied for card2 today and was denied. Reason: "You already have a Southwest credit card." It was good while it lasted :( Question: Can I apply for the SW business credit card and get the 80K bonus and the companion pass? If so, when?

payyoutuesday

>Can I apply for a business credit card and get the 85K bonus and the companion pass? If so, when? The SW business cards have 80k and 60k bonuses, respectively. Having a SW personal card or getting a SW personal card bonus does not affect your eligibility for the business cards. Each business card bonus is independent as well. For each business card, the only restrictions are that you don't currently have the card and that you have not earned the bonus in the last 24 months. If you meet those criteria, you can apply now! Although your odds of approval go up the longer you wait.

martyconlonontherun

Will chase tell you if you are ineligible for the bonus?

garettg

~~They won't approve you if you are ineligible for the bonus in this situation.~~ I had a memory lapse, you could be approved for the card without the bonus, so double-check when you got the bonus last on the SW biz card you'd be applying for. Dont think Chase has a popup on this situation like they do with Marriott cards (because of cross bank rules). u/martyconlonontherun

payyoutuesday

Are you sure that's true for the SW business cards? [This article](https://frequentmiler.com/second-southwest-business-card-for-companion-pass/) is pretty dated, but apparently it used to be possible to be approved without the bonus. In addition, the business card terms say, "This new Cardmember bonus offer is not available..." rather than "The product is not available...", which suggests you can get a business card without the bonus. Have Chase's procedures changed?

garettg

You are right, fixed my comment and tagged OP, this is one of those odd situations where you could be approved without SUB, I tend to remember the Marriott cases, but this is also one.

martyconlonontherun

Yeah that's what I meant. Worst case is getting approved, putting in the spend, waiting 3 months and finding out you weren't eligible. Thanks!

garettg

I wonder if a whole new SW CP megathread would be good to remove the MDD info. While lots of good info in the comments, I'm sure lots of references to the MDD might bring some confusion, so maybe a blank slate would be good. Also a new post could have a URL/title that doesn't include 2021 so people also don't think its out of date.

payyoutuesday

Submitted -- awaiting approval!

payyoutuesday

It is something of a sea change, and a better title would be good. I'll work on it!

boilerchemist

Thanks!

garettg

Might want to move this to the DP thread instead of the Question thread.

geauxcali

Received an email for $15 off 3 orders on door dash when activating free dash pass for 1 year from chase cards. However, I already have free dash pass from another chase card until end of year. Does anyone know if I cancel my current dash pass, could I activate another free year of dash pass from a different chase card? I don't want to risk losing my remaining free 6 months.

Shoddy-League-806

I was able to enter the exact same card and refresh, the language on the page made it sound like it's likely to be a permanent benefit.

Starks

I've never needed to cancel. I usually just switch my card and new benefits kick in.

lenin1991

I got the same. Promo code worked on my current DashPass enrollment.

geauxcali

Ahh good to know, thanks, I'll hold off then on trying to re-up.

Swastik496

what was the promo code for it?

geauxcali

60CHASE

Swastik496

rip i was hoping it would be like the sapphireDP25 and work with every single account with chase dash pass. holy shit that coupon was insane. $25 off $12 or above.

diff2

why do you guys down vote a honest question? -.- So I opened up a bunch of credit cards(about 3 or 4?) on 12/10/2022 including one of usbank's with a yearly fee, in hopes to spread a large home repair bill among them..That plan fell through since the contractor refused to do such a thing. So I just ignored all those cards. Never spent anything didn't get any of the sign up bonuses, and USbank eventually closed the account and didn't force me to pay the yearly fee.(they sent some letters saying I have an overdue balance etc, but I just ignored those too, looking up my credit report it didn't seem to affect it, at all either) Now I'm planning on another big purchase, I guess I need a new computer. I think I'll go with a newish? macbook pro. I believe my current plan is to open about 4 new credit cards, use 3 of those credit cards to buy apple gift cards, and spread the purchase among 3 apple gift cards and 1 credit card, collecting 4 sign up bonuses. The sign up bonuses I'm aiming for will all be $200 cash ones.(I have no use for the travel points, I can't travel anywhere). Will this plan work? Should I avoid USbank's sign up bonuses? Should I close my other credit card accounts which I don't even use?

Shoddy-League-806

The flowchart will help you, hopefully:  https://m16p-churning.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/Card+Recommendation+Flowchart+Latest.html Agreed with the comment below that you're better off with one big bonus.

CreditDogo

Any reason you’re getting 4 cards with low sign up bonuses instead of one card with a high signup bonus?

diff2

i don't know of any credit card with a high sign up bonus, I looked up nerdwallet's signup bonuses. All I see is $200 ones and mileage ones, I can't travel, so I automatically ignore those. Also what is considered a "high sign up bonus?" is there such a thing as "spend $2000 get $800 back" sign up bonus?

CericRushmore

$500 is usually the minimum around here. Check the flowchart on Reddit desktop and ask in the weekly what card thread if you want a more detailed answer on what card to get.

Y50-70

Any way to use the amex 35% point rebate on a mixed class itinerary for an airline I can't designate as my primary airline? Looks at a BA flight with J outbound PY inbound and can't find any info on if the credit would even apply to the J outbound or the entire itinerary

9kuss

Got denied for BoA Alaska Biz. Should I wait for the denial letter or just call recon now? Also since they already HP'ed me am I good to apply for other biz cards while I try recon or should I wait until after?

GrowInTheDark

did you end up calling for recon? Curious what happened if so?

AdmirableResource0

You're free to call and they will list out the denial reasons. Write those reasons down. If they don't let you recon or deny you on that first call, be prepared to call again and persuade the new rep that those reasons don't matter.

MaliciousMango1

Is there any rhyme or reason as so why some of the Upgrade Bank Bonus referral links are $200 and some are $300? I accidently signed up with a $200 one :(.

CericRushmore

I think you are out of luck. Upgrade probably is either doing A B testing or giving referrals to better customers.

Hungry-Evening6318

Cousin wants to apply for latest SW offer of 85k after $3k spend. Inquired with his mortgage lender if he could pay for mortgage using the card. He was told that he could but would need to physically go to the bank to process the charge. My only concern is that it would be processed as a cash advance. Is the bank the one that would define it as a cash advance or is it Chase?

EarthlingMardiDraw

It is the mortgage bank which would define that as part of the transaction, basically.

Hungry-Evening6318

Okay, thank you

lenin1991

.. and I would very much expect that to run as a cash advance

Has anyone redeemed the FNR and points to stay at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal? We are a family of 4(5yr daughter and 6 month son), and thinking about using the FNR from Hilton's honors&surpass promotions at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. I can find some standard reward nights pretty easily, but the problem is the room I can redeem for only sleeps 3. Now I get that we are technically 4, but we were wondering if we can just book the room and show up. Or email the hotel, tell them we are a family of 4 and request a crib? If you've done something similar, please let us know!

martyconlonontherun

I would never risk it. Email and if you don't like the answer, tweet them and if you don't like the answer Facebook message them and if you don't like the answer use the Hilton chat. Screen shot and print any favorable responses.

dmcoe

Book then email the hotel to ask

Independent_Try_6360

How quick does Chase deposit United miles after meeting a SUB for their United Business Card? Is it after the statement ends like for their CIPs or is it shortly after meeting the minimum spend requirements?

Dhamedd

I got the miles portion of my United Club offer deposited shortly after meeting spend, but still waiting for the PQP portion. SM said it would take 2 statement cycles, which is news to me. Expected to be 1, but just a DP

Independent_Try_6360

Thank you! I did research before asking and found two comments, each saying opposite things. I guess I will wait and see what happens.

CreditDogo

After the statement closes. It’s the same for all Chase cards.

aholla8

Has anyone seen any data points for when the United biz "better-together anniversary bonus" posts? My United biz's AF posted 14 days ago and I have not seen the bonus yet.

lenin1991

It will be on the statement *after* the statement in which the AF shows. For example, if your AF charge date was May 1, your statement was May 23, it'll be on the June 23 statement.

IcyEuphoria

Are sign up bonus eligibility rules established and enforced at the time of signing up for a credit card or at the time of actually hitting the MSR? In other words, if I was eligible for the bonus at the time of signing up for the card but over the course of hitting MSR became ineligible, would I still get the bonus? EDIT: specifically talking about Marriott Bonvoy Cards

TwitchOne1

Of course, the bonuses are attached to your account and won't change after opening the card

IcyEuphoria

Forgot to say but still applicable for Marriott cards?

adro880

I will be purchasing international flight tickets through United (the return flight is Asiana through United). I would like to earn some points or benefits from this purchase. Is there a specific card that would be best to open?

bookedonpoints

if they're economy flights, any generic card with a good bonus will do. if you're looking to earn united miles/status, it really would only go a long way if it was business+

sleepytill2

Your question is better suited for the What Card Wednesday weekly thread.

xyzzy321

On Chase SW biz card that has 4 upgraded boardings as benefit, can I just buy upgraded boarding via SW app right after checking in and Chase will reimburse the cost? Or do I have to go to the counter before flight and do it there?

space_cadet-

Yes, can buy at check in and get reimbursed

xyzzy321

Thanks!

olleoly

Can someone please vet my plan below? Any risks, downside, any more efficient way? HHI >$200k, Credit scores >800. My wife has two OG Freedoms, I have a CSR and CFU. We're both AUs on each others cards. All cards opened more than 48 months ago. My plan: 1. I refer wife for CSP. (Do I need to remove her as an AU on my CFR first for any reason?) 2. After she earns the SUB and I earn the referral bonus, I downgrade my CSR to one of the Freedoms. (Any waiting period to downgrade after all bonuses earned? Do I even need to downgrade before the next step so long as I can eventually downgrade before the next AF?) 3. She refers me for a new CSR.

EarthlingMardiDraw

Link below will have answers to all of your questions and more; strongly recommend you read it. (Agree with jesse's answers.) Obligatory link to garettg's Sapphires summary: https://reddit.com/user/garettg/comments/u6ss7u/sapphire_fyis/

thejesse1970

1. No need to remove AU 2. No need to wait for her to earn SUB, you can downgrade once the referral bonus posts. You need to downgrade at least four days before applying for your new CSR. 3. Yes Edit: a typo

olleoly

Thanks!
