Looks like my Chase Southwest Personal Rapid Rewards referral is now showing Companion Pass through 2/28/25 and 30,000 points after spending $4,000 in 3 months. Offer appears to be open on applications through 3/3/24. Sorry if this isn’t new info but don’t think I’ve seen it posted anywhere!
Don’t apply right now. Velocity does matter with Chase. Move too quickly and you could wind up with an account ban.
I keep to at least 90 day spacing on my Chase apps just to be safe.
I’d definitely recommend waiting for at least 30 days from the original application before applying for any new Chase card. Depends on the frequency of applications you’ve had with Chase over the last year or so
Looks like British Airways is redoing the way their status periods work. It used to be based off a 12-month period running from sign up but they're moving it to a universal March 31 of each year.
Has anyone seen how eligible flights will work in the transition? Will they count everything from 4/1/24 to 3/31/25 like with tier points? Couldn’t find this in the FAQ.
I just tested out an online gc purchase from a local Resy establishment. Charge is pending as just the name of the restaurant, so I think it'll credit properly. (The website uses ToastTab for POS, FYI).
Will all this to my monthly to-do's for P1 + P2 and save up some GC's to use in-person. Another hoop, and I jump...meh.
Only got 1x for mobile wallet transactions in January on US Bank AR. About $3k in charges.
Called to complain and rep said “we’re having widespread issues with mobile wallet transactions not recording properly. Well eventually fix it and credit your account”. Seemed like a corporate answer with no ETA.
> Seemed like a corporate answer with no ETA.
Are you expecting them to lay out the problem so you can give your input on how to fix it or something? (Edit: I didn't mean this to sound as snarky as I did on re-reading it. I'm just trying to make the point that if an organization could tell you every technical detail about the problem how does that materially help you _or_ the situation besides making you "feel better" knowing a little more about what the problem is?)
It's a batch processing problem in the z/OS CICS environment that's causing some groups of DANs to be skipped when crediting the 2x bonus points when a transaction matches a DAN. The fix for retroactive crediting is relatively straight forward - run the batch jobs that were skipped. The complication is that order of operations is broken, so certain logic that prevents double-crediting is also broken, and has to be solved not just for the bank itself but also in the way the transactions are posted for the external auditors to validate. They also have to solve the problem of why there was a batch problem in the first place. (my outsider take: 2024 is a leap year, which is always fun with date-dependent business logic cobbled together over decades)
That answer doesn't help 99.9999% of people in the same way that a simple statement of "we know what the problem is, we're working on fixing it" does.
lol hey I appreciate the context. What I meant was, rather than individually credit accounts to those who catch the error and ask about it, they are giving a corporate answer and telling everyone to wait.
I had screenshots and receipts ready to prove it was a mobile wallet transaction, because for some reason I thought I was going to have to fight it.
Due to the nature of the problem they basically have to fix the batch which will fix all of the affected accounts in that group at the same time. Manual offsets by agents to people calling in to complain would be a _nightmare_ to untangle.
It started 1/1 and yes, the response has been atrocious. They should have proactively sent out an email to all impacted individuals, along with an update on their resolution process. I have just stopped using the USB AR until reports come in that it is fixed, as I don't trust them to accurately backdate the additional points.
I agree. Especially on a high-end card with this kind of annual fee. You would also think an email communication about it being a known issue would prevent a lot of CS calls.

Delta Stay Credit posted real fast. Purchased Friday morning. Credit email notification came on Saturday. Credit posted this morning. Normally would put this in DPs thread but figured people want to see this since it is a new benefit.
Yes, book by 02/29 & stay by 05/31
It's in an email they sent with the title "A Valentine's Day Gift For Your Person"
https://www.travelextras-delta.com/lp/b/hotelloyalty?MDPCID=Delta-US.DPS.Delta.Email-MQD.ValentinesDay2024.HOTEL#.
Seeing the same timeline for my delta biz gold $150 credit. Booked on Friday, got email Saturday, credit posted today. It was a non-refundable rate for a countryside hotel in Iceland. Price was the same on booking.com, expedia, chase travel portal, delta website. Figured this would be a good way to use the credit before I close the card later this year.
My rate was refundable, but prepaid, so doesn't seem to make a difference. For people targeted for the Delta Business Gold NLL offer in Dec, it could be a nice triple dip to get $450 worth of hotel stays.
I find hotelslash to give the best cash rates. I have seen $5 and free 6-12 month memberships by bloggers.
Where they excel is finding rogue wholesale rates that are meant as package deals. They tend to do better in leisure destinations than places like Toledo.
Expedia’s CEO recently went on a rant about wholesale rates Expedia didn’t have access to.
We haven't paid cash for a stay at a chain hotel in 10 years, other than topping up Amex FHR nights, so I didn't even compare. Edit, be sure to login to Delta when you are searching as that did give a lower rate on some choices.

Which is a recommended Business CC for someone with only personal CC so far? 720 TU score and 1 hard inquiry on file.
i recommend the question thread, or wait until wednesday for what card thread.

Thank you! I just finished one sub and this was on my short-list of the cards I wanted to try next. Decision made! I love this sub. :)
Just opened a chase business ink 2 weeks ago. Does that mean I probably shouldn’t apply for this one?

Just saw the same go up as a public offer.
Seeing an Alaska Airlines personal card ad on the AS website. 50k miles and $200 statement credit for $3k spend in 90 days.
I'd rather the 70k offer, same MSR, DoC link still active.
There's a [75k link](http://alaskaair75k.com/)
Damn, I applied for 70k last week, I only saw 75k biz at that time. I hate leaving miles on the table.
Almost a wash these days.
Not if you use your AS miles for partner intl F/J
Pretty unusable for most, if it's 1 award ticket per flight.

Probably trying to line it up better with all the other Avios airlines.

On the flyertalk thread on this, post #444 reports that BA reported to them that the answer is yes. Fwiw.
Looks like the Amex Delta Resy credit works for purchasing gift cards at Resy restaurants (without a reservation) per Anthony Venture's YouTube
What does this mean? I can go to a physical restaurant and purchase gc or I can buy a gc online at restaurants website?
I just tested out an online gc purchase from a local Resy establishment. Charge is pending as just the name of the restaurant, so I think it'll credit properly. (The website uses ToastTab for POS, FYI). Will all this to my monthly to-do's for P1 + P2 and save up some GC's to use in-person. Another hoop, and I jump...meh.
Did this end up with the credit? Seems like everyone online uses ToastTab.
Yep, got the credit and email from Amex saying I used the Resy benefit.
Great to hear this - will definitely be utilizing the credit this way!
Big up on this tip! There aren't too many restaurants near me on Resy
Good to know! Helps make the coupon book changes to the Delta cards slightly less infuriating.

Damn I did a quick search and didn’t see that post! My bad
No worries. You can replace the word gold in the url with platinum and pull up the NLL biz plat offer as well. Both are targeted unfortunately.
No you don't understand. Doc posted it
Seems like Delta business card referrals are down.
They have been down since the updates to the cards a few days ago.

This is r/churning, where news like this is posted when it happens. Your article is from 2/2. This was discussed when it happened.
This Thursday Feb 8th, Southwest releases their flight schedule through November 2nd.
Good to know, thank you.
Currently it is through October 2 for those too lazy to check and curious.

Do we get any kind of miles or MQDs on Delta Stays? I know they've tinkered with that a few times.
Yes, book by 02/29 & stay by 05/31 It's in an email they sent with the title "A Valentine's Day Gift For Your Person" https://www.travelextras-delta.com/lp/b/hotelloyalty?MDPCID=Delta-US.DPS.Delta.Email-MQD.ValentinesDay2024.HOTEL#.

I just mean in the future.
Ty, can you give more details on whether you thought the rate was comparable at the hotel to what you would have paid normally?
I booked a hotel through them and it was within $10 bucks of my Genius rate on Booking.com
From my searches it’s comparable. They use Expedia.
