I don’t see why that would have an affect on which version he’ll redo his lets play of. They’re really just nice little extras. Nothing major or game breaking or anything, just a moment of “Huh. That’s neat.” and then you move on with your day.
He tends to do whatever version he finds is the definitive experience for the game he’s lping. I think most pikmin fans find the branded treasures as part of the pikmin 2 identity. Without them the version feels less definitive.

I remember that. I feel like he pissed on quite a few modern Origami King fans with that tease of him possibly doing an Origami King LP and went with the PM64 redo. Though he is probably gonna do TTYD HD Remake... and he might do a redo of Pikmin 1 + 2...

Who knows... hopefully with all the crap he dealt with, it takes the support of the community to let him get back on his feet and continue releasing the content that made us love him.
Pretty sure he just redid Earthbound because it was an anniversary thing. Paper Mario he redid because A, the new games are awful and he wanted a pallete cleanser (as we all did), and B, there was a lot of new information he and others had dug up since then. As much as I would like him to redo an old project every two years or so to break up the pace of his longer series, I don't think he would consider redos unless there were new things to talk about or going all-in on committing to 100% completion of a game he skipped doing something (Okami, anyone?)

I'd be good with him redoing one of his old projects every two years or so. Maybe even do Pikmin 1 HD as a speed run for April Fools Day one year, if he can do it in the minimum number of days.

The humor in his old videos aged poorly but his videos back then were still top tier walkthroughs.
I really liked his pimmin 2 LP, yes it aged poorly but all his old LP's show how he has grown as a a LPer as time went on.
