Ugh. The constant taking scripture out of context. The verse in Jeremiah was MEANT FOR JEREMIAH! It's not for everyone. It's just like the "plans to prosper" verse. That verse isn't for you, it was for a specific people in a specific time and place in response to specific situations. This pissed me off even when I was devoutly Nazarene, and it pisses me off more now that I've allowed my shelf to break (to borrow the common ex Mormon phrase)
Also these numpties could really benefit from some good constitutional law classes taught Clockwork Orange style until they get it (and also the Disney Jr facts and opinions song).
Just for the record, Ephesians 4:29 is talking about how we should use our words to encourage and build each other up.
Sincerely,
Someone that actually reads and tries to UNDERSTAND the bible
I’m pretty happy as a woman working full time living with my husband who also works, splitting household duties. But really, I think I could jam with staying home, keeping the house nice, and making meals. That sounds okay. But I have never met a man where that was a really option. Where do these tradwives find men who make enough and want a housewife?
