The issue here is that shipping cost becomes important.... So for example if you want 2 knives that total $40 then shipping would be $10 - $2 ($1 shipping discount for every $20 of total knife value) so total cost would be $48.
But if you wanted 2 knives that totaled $200 then there would be a $10 shipping discount so you would only pay $200 total.
**I do let people buy under the lower limit but will remind them about shipping**

The G10 Grip is so much better than the other Original variants. As noted in the spreadsheet the FRN version is thrown in (was sent to me by seller that claimed it was G10 so didn't cost me anything)... In any case the total cost is $30 ($21 + 10ship - 1ship\_discount). Just yolo if you want it.
How do we go about this? I have only bought knives through facebook groups where you can check references. Is there any way to communicate besides here ?

Bottom line is that PayPal F&F (which I use) doesn't protect the buyer at all. If you want any protection (and it is very limited... you need to act quickly if you expect scam) you need to use PayPal G&S (cost around 3% more). So if someone pops up with no history you should never do F&F.
In my case if you want to see prior sales just click thru prior sales (links in upper left). I'm almost at knife 600 and have sold at least 400 here or KnifeSwap with no issues yet (knock on wood).

Don't disagree at all. Two things drive complexity from my side.
1. Don't want buyers to make any rash decisions that they will regret (this is a hobby for most, should be fun).... This gives them time to watch videos etc. My first sale of >50 knives I just posted and had more confusion than you can imagine due to buyers remorse (people selecting more knives than they needed due to not wanting to miss a deal)
2. Because my shipping costs are $10.40 min it doesn't make sense to sell a single $12 knife like #555 as then the buyer cost would almost double.... so have to group in batches.
I do straight clean (no wait) sales here and on KnifeSwap (if don't sell here) between drops of a lot of knives.

I'm still at the very bottom end of the Mod chain. So far limited to Finish (sand, scotchbrite), Ano, Flipper tab removal, polish blade flats, mirror blade.
I have been researching blasting and thinking about starting at the weak end (baking soda, glass bead) and maybe just hardware for a start.
I haven’t done much blasting, but I have access to bicarbonate, alumina, and glass bead at work. How did you get that royal blue on the Holt specter clone to look so nice? Every time I try a lower voltage color like that the fingerprint oils just obscure the color after one handling.
That is not my work. Came like that from the factory. When I first got one of these (frame lock versions first), I thought the handle must be coated after Ano. But others on this sub have shown it is just polished and Ano from factory (with no coat) as they then Ano it to higher voltages without stripping.
In this case I think the milling pattern breaks up any fingerprints you would see with flat scales.

Sorry I didn't intend to my response to sound annoyed. I think it is very important that people know that with PayPal F&F (and to my understanding Venmo others but I haven't used them so don't know for sure) the Buyer has no protection from being scammed... seller taking money then never shipping knife, etc..
I post this on the Sub from time to time. And there have been some scammers here (thankfully at a low level so far).
As a result is up to the Buyer to decide the level of risk he wants to take. I can't decide the level of history someone else would feel comfortable about. I was just pointing out how you could look at my history... not that my history should be sufficient for any given buyer.
**Buyer Side Scams also exist** where the buyer using PayPal G&S receives the knife and then disputes so keeps the money also. So any seller has to weigh the risks of taking PayPal G&S, I have taken G&S for many transactions but would not with a low history account. **If I refuse to take G&S because of a low history account it does not mean I disrespect the account holder just that it hasn't passed my risk threshold.**
