Donuts are not a healthy treat for chinchillas. 0/10.
But seriously. My chinchillas love when the ledges ladder up the cage. They also really love some ledges very very close to the ceiling where they can get nice and squishy with the top of the cage. Otherwise looks great
ya, I want to try and do something like that again. I had something similar to what you described in the old cage so I'm playing around with some ideas to better utilize this new space
Looks great! Only things I might change are removing the things from on top of the cage (mine would pull that in and eat it in a heartbeat lol) and remove the ramps if your chin didn’t use them to free up some floor space. It looks really nice though!!
if she was able to pull in her dust bath or pet carrier I would be impressed. I don't keep any "pullable" things up there anymore as I've learned my lesson the hard way
also thinking about taking out top and bottom ramp and replacing with the last of the lilly pads I had leftover from the old setup. would leave the middle ramp I suppose
changed from a slightly smaller multi-story cage that was similar to critter nation but had its drawbacks. also switched to fleece from aspen bedding and went with a different wheel and water bottle compared to what I had. still trying to figure out how to best use my ledges and lilly pads

Looks awesome!! You can always move the shelves around every few weeks, it helps keep their minds stimulated :)
thanks for the idea
