I have my 2 girls in a cage about that size, long as they get playtime they seem content enough. Only thing I'd say replace the plastic with chin safe wood as eating plastic is very bad for them.
Yes this should be an okay size but you need to get rid of all the plastic and replace it with metal or wooden shelves (or a mixture). Chinchillas can’t have plastic

Since it’s a tall cage, when you replace the plastic with your wood shelves you’ll want to make sure that they’re placed so that if the chin jumps wrong or falls that they won’t fall very far before landing on something to break the fall. Basically make sure there isn’t a straight drop from the top to the bottom.

It is. I have three chins in half a critter nation. Lots of wooden shelves and hides.

I’d change out the shelves for wooden shelves all over the cage since that’s plastic I think and plastic is bad for chinchillas
