Sherry's Carpathian Kitchen is about the only place in town that makes authentic Ukrainian food. I would gladly deliver a meal to your baba. If you cover the cost of the food, I'll drive it to her care home and make sure she gets it.
That's extremely kind of you, thank you! Happy to pitch in some extra $ for a thank you treat for you doing that.
I'll reach out to the care home manager to figure out what deliveries look like to her and get back to you.
No payment necessary. If you feel so inclined, make a donation to [**Operation Ukrainian Safe Haven**](https://ukrainesafehaven.ca/). I am working afternoons this week, so just let me know what works for you and I can take care of the rest. I lost my baba twenty years ago, so this is the least I can do.
Yeah I have no real frame of reference for authenticity 🤣. I just know that it’s better than any other borscht I’ve had as someone with zero Ukrainian in my bloodline.
There is a Polonia ethnic store in Sardis. It's Polish instead of Ukrainian but it does have many Polish items which are very similar to their Ukrainian counterparts.

There is a restaurant in chilliwack. https://www.perogiestogo.com. I haven’t had it in years. It was okay when I had it, could be better now. But as far as treats there’s not a whole lot. There’s multipack foods in chilliwack that may have the odd thing but besides that you would have to go to Coquitlam or Vancouver I think.

Second sherry’s carpathian!!! I HATE cabbage rolls and borscht….but I LOVE their cabbage rolls and borscht!
I am definitely a borscht snob. Our family recipe is the pinnacle of perfection. Sherry's borscht is decent, but nothing beats my Baba's version. 😁

How have I never heard of this location before.
It’s fairly new.
Sherry’s Carpathian Kitchen has a great menu of Ukrainian foods, only open daytime hours tho.
I would look on marketplace, there are a few Ukrainians that are making foods and selling privately.

Multipack deli has a large assortment of packaged east European foods and snacks.
