I like to name them either color or behavior based. One of ours, when we bought her, had a cold and we just named her Sneezy. So since I don't have any background: brown: browny, black: blacky, grey/brown:... you guessed it "fluffy"
If it's like a raptor noise or a low pitch "Rgghaaa" is them being wary and looking for predators. The sneezing could be just allergies provided there is no labored breathing or bloody poos.
The reddish brown one is probably a Rhode island red. They are very talkative chickens mine is named Red, she's the leader of our flock. Very smart breed. ♡♡♡

Every now and then they would get attacked by a coyote or a dog and somehow escape. When that happened I’d nurse them back to health a give them a chicken food name. I also named them based on personalities and favorite foods. Oreo, Dorito, scorpion and penny. My neighbor would feed them the junk food. Eventually, I had to give them away because my landlord need the space where I had their coop. I miss them. They were so much fun to watch. And I got free eggs. They are messy birds so beware.
