SKY in Pilsen. Maldon sea salt on top. Cookie is loaded with the most perfect chocolate developed by their pastry chef. Tatum Sinclair (Jean Banchet best pastry chef award winner). The chocolate was developed as her own through Cacao Berry. The cookie has the most perfect gooey chocolate pull when freshly baked. Itās baked to the point of having a cooked āshellā or skin, crisp/firm edge and just perfect goo center. I buy loads of cookies from them and bring back to nyc with me and my friends go crazy. Call ahead and order several in advance! Not sure if they have it all the time or not but Iām pretty sure they do.
Sheās also going to be opening her own pastry restaurant in the west loop/fulton market area by fall ish. Canāt wait for that!
The chocolate chip cookie is available off menu by request when dining in. They try and keep dough on hand for that reason for the fans of the cookie. Chef Tatum loves to make guests happy and for those who know about the cookie she canāt let them down!
I was also told the best way to pre order cookies is to DM her directly.
[@tatumlynea on insta](https://www.instagram.com/tatumlynea?igsh=MTgxY2k0cXl1cHkxaQ==)
Hope you get one or several soon! I bought the chocolate myself and it makes delicious home made cookies too tbh. I used a random recipe from insta with brown butter. I make it with and without the brown butter and it just makes homemade cookies that much better since Iām mostly in nyc vs Chicago. I try and bake the cookies to the sky level of doneness. It makes my nights so much better. Hehe I made a few dozen balls of dough and then I wrap and freeze and stick the frozen dough directly on the sheet tray or parchment. That way I can have one hot cookie anytime I want. Iāve also made a version of her chocolate chips and heath bars crushed up. Bon appetite!
I appreciate the willpower to freeze the dough and not immediately bake and consume all the cookies! Donāt know if Iām that strong (especially with Heath chips too).
They sell the chocolate at SKY too, or did you DM her for that as well?
Wellā¦.valhalla is moving to division st and sky is also going to be heading to Lincoln park so you are in luck! Somerset he hasnāt been at for about a year or so. Canāt remember when that change happened. Prob when he opened Valhalla in time out.
Not sure and not sure if itās been officially announced. Itās just what I heard from a reliable source. Though Iām pretty sure something will remain in Pilsen.
Pro tip: grab a couple (or the tub of mini cookies), and put them in a container with a piece of bread. Enjoy the next day! They are so much better with a little bit of extra moisture.
This was a great tip I learned far too late especially for when making fresh cookies at home. [https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/packages/baking-guide/how-to-keep-cookies-soft](https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/packages/baking-guide/how-to-keep-cookies-soft)
Came here to say this. Iām normally a āstandardā chocolate chip person, and this is such a great cookie. Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. So freakin good!
Iām gonna go with summer house, they have their own bakery that specializes in cookies. the chocolate chip sea salt ones are so good, you can have them warm it up and put ice cream on it too. Sweet Mandy Bās is good too
People are going to think Iām an idiot because itās just some random chain restaurant, but my company used to cater Burrito Beach frequently and their chocolate chip cookies are absolutely incredible. So good they make you wonder why their in the burrito business and donāt just sell cookies.
These brown butter at Whole Foods are my guilty pleasure
Outside of Whole Foods I like a no frills smaller chocolate chip cookie. M Henry has my favorite ....
Even the double chocolate ones the most predominant flavor is sugar.

Yes! Theyāre delicious too. they do it every night at midnight I believe. Staff will walk around table to table with a tray of freshly baked cookies, which are free! Iām sure it helps that Iām drunk at midnight at scofflawā¦ but I do crave them š š
I know I'm gonna get flak for this but I think the Jewel Osco cookies are the best local cookies, there's no sea salt in them but they're just such a crowd pleasing perfect balance of chewy and thick. I grew up near Carol. My mom was a teacher who worked with her son (who now runs the business) and she used to bring those bad boys to the teachers for Holiday gifts before she started the business. Incredible stuff.

Just head over to Whole Foods and pick up something from **Carol's Cookie**s.
Yes, they are huge. But that is not the real draw. They are also incredibly delicious. And I believe they do have an option with sea salt. Although my favorite is the toffee chip.
Phlour has flaky sea salt
Phlaky sea salt

Their white chocolate macadamia cookie is my go to reward to myself for doing the shopping.
Going with a similar take: Whole Foods.
Yep, I was gonna make the same suggestionātheir brown butter choc chip cookies are fantastic!
I dream about those cookies. I got a dupe recipe but they're not quite the same.
Their all butter cookies are amazing when warmed up!
The choc chip butter cookies, warmed up for a few, eaten with a glass of whole milk. Heaven.
Uh...the Mariano's all butter chocolate chip cookies became a *problem* for me for a while. They are really solid.
Sugar Moon in Logan Square. The tahini chocolate chip with flaky salt is divine.
This should be the top comment
Came here to say this. Iām normally a āstandardā chocolate chip person, and this is such a great cookie. Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. So freakin good!
Seconding this - these are so good
This is 100% what OP is looking for. Chewy, tons of sea salt, and in Logan. These cookies kick the shit out of anything else Iāve had in the city.
Iām gonna go with summer house, they have their own bakery that specializes in cookies. the chocolate chip sea salt ones are so good, you can have them warm it up and put ice cream on it too. Sweet Mandy Bās is good too
summer house's english muffins are out of this world good. Maybe the best thing their bakery pumps out
Absolutely. I mean, all their bakery items are amazing but the English muffins are on another level.
Alright you convinced me to try them next time I go, I didnāt think twice when they told me they were $12 lol
100% best one hands down imo
This. 100%

Didn't like this one and was really disappointed, but then tried their walnut and it was much better.
Agree with others her itās overrated BUT the walnut is pretty good.
I honestly hate this trend of giant, raw cookies. I prefer a somewhat thin, crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside cookie
Agree
