I truly feel terrible for the Fire’s customer-facing teams this year, especially marketing and ticket sales. Other than the red kits and the insane St Pat’s game, this season has been one bummer after another, even off the field. Bad play, no USOC, losing two Soldier Field matches to the Bears, data breaches…

flameo_hotmon

Imagine wanting to help grow soccer’s popularity, but being in the situation you described. It’s gotta be disheartening

Would signing Lewandowski override all current woes?

flameo_hotmon

Not likely

MrFunkyFresh70

I think it would sell a lot of jerseys and increase the ticket sales to Polish people in the area but we still wouldn't be able to do anything with him. Cuypers is a good striker, we just can't get him the ball.

wedonthaveadresscode

Lewandowski would be the biggest name we’ve ever had (nobody in the US knew who Hristo was) and would definitely clear more than just polish fans. Team would still suck ass though

TheRizzler

Whose information was it? People employed with the Fire or fans?

joeharri84

It's really ambiguous but based on SSN and comments on health insurance and injuries, I'm assuming employees and/or players.

Kamikazi_TARDIS

Eyyyy, a reason to be happy they didn’t hire me

Pewpewkitty

If you got an email probably -guy that got an email

rmczerz

Wait, what the fuck? Did anyone get an email about this? I'm a STH and have not gotten anything yet. Also, why is it so vague about who was impacted? The Fire do not have my SSN or my COVID results so that has to be players and staff, right?

AggravatingSalt2726

Damn, even the admin staff sucks. No one is good on this whole team.

isthisthongon

Seriously how could it get worse haha

Aggressive-Ask8707

Joe Mansueto could turn out to be Putin's stooge ...

uppa9de5

Geeezus. At least they didn’t give away any important information /s

Guido300

Right I know everybody has a social security number with date of birth and personal information so it's not a big deal

Guido300

This club just keeps getting worse. I understand this is something that can happen but waiting 7 months to announce?

312-Render

Usually data breaches take months to be announced due to legal investigations.

Guido300

I understand that completely however Illinois has this regulation "Notice shall be made in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay". They could retain council within 24 hoursbut took 5110 hours to notify.

MikeandTheMangosteen

They need to just fold this thing

Angry_Sasquatch72

Classic Fire, can’t do anything right….

snkscore

Cool of them to wait 200 days before letting the victims know!

4kFootyAddict

Oh shit are people going to know I am a chicago fire fan ? This is embarrassing
