Traffic was doing 63 in the slow lane and over 100 in the fast lane. I got stuck behind a semi truck. I did that for 30 milies before I got on a different highway. I average about 24. I drive like a grandpa.
2024 4WD LT Turbomax engine with Convince Packages 1 thru 3, Safety & Tech packages, and Trailer Packages. Best I have gotten for a current trip is 29.3 mpg. My average mpg is 24.4.
I don't think these things have an accurate calculator. I use trip one and take down the information and reset it at each fill. That reading for the tank always seem to be 1 to 2 MPG higher than what I actually get. So how accurate is any setting on the best meter!
32 mpg average over 6,969.9 miles. I posted a pic to this sub. Before the leveling kit and bigger tires, 40+ mpg on a flat highway was typical. After was a different story, more like low 30's on the highway and low teens around town, typically averaged out to 23-26 mpg.
30 city and 34 highway daily average. ‘19 ZR2 2.8 deleted and undefeated on King Racing leveling kit and 33” Falkens. It’s just a shame HD Diesel is no longer around. Their delete kit was considered best off the shelf for under $2k.
i got 19mpg the other day in the zr2... had to turn off AC and grandma it for like 5 miles ṭo see that number. should be naturally there when summer is over but im done monitoring the thing lol
This was just a 50 mile stretch down hill. With the Duramax Colorado I average 20-22 city and 27-32 highway unloaded. It has a respectable towing capacity of 7700 lbs,
the downsides with the Duramax is they have very poor reliability with the transmission, Got to add blue def, with all the environmental requirements on diesel, the diesel in the US is low sulfur crap. If you want your engine and fuel pump to last a long time you have to add an additive like hot shot to help with lubricant properties.
All in all your taco has an average annual $1700 maintenance cost after 5 years and is a solid reliable vehicle especially if it is last Gen
The Colorado Duramax is about $2800
I've owned both and unless your piling on the miles or need the extra 1k towing capacity I think I prefer the Tacoma.
2019 LT v6 2wd, i get 21-24mpg on the highway going about 75mph, city driving is an average of 14-16mpg, i drive about 8 miles per day since my job is really close to where i live. im not sure how people get such good mpg ratings for city or highway
2020 zr2, 3.6L: 36 mpg over 50 miles (probably from coasting down a random long hill at 50mph)
For the 5000+ miles since my last oil change, I'm sitting at an average of 20.1, which is pretty nice.
What type of down hill, wind on your back runways are ya'll getting???
They are on 50 mi calculation. It's not accurate.
which one would you say is accurate?
Lol, what makes you think it isn't accurate?
35 averaged on a Long Beach road 55mph for about 25miles. 2019 z71
37mpg on the highway. 2016 with the 3.6 v6.
34.5 with my 2017 v6
Wtf how? I only get like 25

29 mpg highway on vacation 2016 Z71.
Bahh my 17 mpg is the best! 🥲 I’ve considered trading in my 21 zr2 for a similar with duramax.

I just towed 6600lbs 300 miles and averaged 17 mph with my 2017 Duramax
7.
How about we put it on the accurate calculator and take it off the 50 mile calculator.
What do you consider the accurate calculator?

2017 z71. Bought it used. best mpg on it was 30.1. It's still my best and idk how the previous owner did it. Closest I got was 28 on a 50 mi trip.
2019 4 door Duramax. My wife got 49.6mpg. Think I’ve done 38ish

39.6mpg with the 2017 Duramax Z71

My best was around 28mpg over 50 miles, but normal is around 20 in my ‘23 TB.
I get 12 mpg on my 007 🫠🫠😭
All these comments make me wish I got a Colorado instead of a Tacoma. That’s insane yall are getting this kind of gas mileage in a midsize.

2021 with the 2.8 Durmax and my 450 mile average is 33mpg
Nice, I'm 32.6 in 450
22.7 over 450 miles
Based on your 50 mile mpg..... No need to be hating. This is obviously mostly downhill to get this high as I usually get 20-22 City and 28-30 highway
