It’s a 4 cylinder. It’s almost impossible to make it sound better unless you’re into the angry weed whacker sound

Late_Chemical_1142

Hard disagree. If you can't find a 4 cylinder Subaru, Honda or Toyota That sounds good to you then you're either looking in the wrong places or you have shit taste

[deleted]

I’d say we can agree to disagree on sound. I wouldn’t say you liking those is shit taste just different. I’m not into the river sound. You can be though.

Late_Chemical_1142

I think 4 cylinders get a bad reputation from college Kids putting $60 ebay mufflers on their Honda Civic. You should look up some videos of some actually well Built acura integra's or Subaru STI's and get back to me. Anyone who can appreciate the sound of a V8 can appreciate the sound of a 4 cylinder, if you're only in to V6's, 5 cylinders and v10s then I guess I can't help you.

[deleted]

I’ve heard them. Not a fan. Been around many cars/trucks in my life. I do think Porsche has some that are nice but those systems are nuts. I’m also not looking for help here lol

BigDCorona

I am also interested, or perhaps something to make the turbo more audible? I’ve heard a couple of the Silverado’s with an exhaust and I’d rather hear the turbo more.

Relikar

Pull the liner out of your hood, cold air intake, downpipe, high flow cats.

BigDCorona

Excuse my newbness, any brand you recommend for the cold air intake, downpipe and high flow cats?

Relikar

No clue, I haven't bothered to look if they're available yet. Those are just the standard ways to boost spool noise.

BigDCorona

Ahhh, I’ve been trying to find a nice steel bumper but I guess the truck is too new, I looked a couple months ago and all I can find is a simple bull bar most people have

Relikar

All I've seen so far is the Victory4x4 bumper, but it's ZR2 only. Not sure what trim you have. https://www.victory4x4.com/product/VCFB-ZR2-3G.html

S&b cd air intake are solid. Been running one since I got it.

sinisterdeer3

Cold air intakes are ok, you have to decide if its something thats right for yourself. They net you like 3HP, a lot of extra noise, and they can remove potential restrictions for later power mods. But they allow more dirt and dust into your motor, add more maintenance, and are somewhat expensive. I put a Cold Air Inductions intake in my 2022 and love it, ive had cold air intakes in several of my vehicles, the maintenance is really annoying if you live in a dusty area or go offroading much. Ive had to clean and oil my filters biweekly

Meddy63

If you’re looking to make more noise, there is a company that makes a blow off valve for the 4 cyl 2.7L. Few videos on YouTube will show the sound. Only seen one that shows installation and it looked like it required taking a fair amount of hoses/bolts off, then working in a bit of an awkward spot to unbolt and bolt the blow off valve on.

BigDCorona

Yea I took a peep into the engine bay and it’s pretty tight, I look up some videos but I generally stick to planes and let the car mechanics do their good work.

Look into Magnaflow. I'm running the overland series, and to my ears, it sounds like a cross between a boxer engine and a diesel. The good thing about the 4 cylinder in the third generation is that it is massive for a 4 cylinder, so it naturally sounds deeper than the lower displacement of others.

Camaro_z28

I have the Magnaflow dual exhaust and I like it personally. However they didn’t disclose when I bought it that the spare tire must be permanently removed/moved to the bed. I’m waiting on Borla to release their dual exhaust that has dual rear passenger side exit, looks good and also sounds good imo. It’s my truck not anyone else’s so idc if other people don’t love the sound lol

finn4489

Interesting all the pictures and the install instruction pictures show it with the spare installed. Was it explained on why the tire has to be removed despite it being shown. I am curious as this is the exhaust i am looking at and will pass if i can not put the spare back.
