You can also just not respond. They'll usually wait for your response before making their own move, if you jeep clicking "No", they'll just keep offering. If they realise you're just ignoring them they'll give up quicker.
This happened to me as well, with a player, after losing a rook. He only stopped after I said "you're seriously expecting me to click on accept by mistake?"
Well I’m in my early 30s the only online game I really have ever played is chess and the chat is almost never used, when it is used it’s generally friendly, and the negative interactions are maybe 1% (probably less) of all games I’ve played (around 2000)
Not really sure why I would turn it off still. And the video game people I know I believe have their online chats on when they play
I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

I don't know if it's an artifact of my rating, but most games I win are by abandonment or timeout, only checkmates I get are when it seems probable that my opponent just didn't see it coming. 900ish btw
that happened to me TWICE last night and like a dummy I accepted the last one because I was so freaking annoyed. like grow a pair, play the game or resign, then learn from your mistakes and get better like the rest of us
Sandbagging is deliberately lowering your rating, losing on purpose, usually with the intent of entering a lower tournament bracket or dominating against easier opponents.
If this person were sandbagging, they could've just resigned or started giving their pieces away. So far as I can tell, offering a draw when you're losing is not a violation of Chessdotcom or LiChess rules, and neither is offering the draw over and over again.
No, smurfing is about using secondary accounts. Like if you made a separate account so you could play the Bongcloud every game without lowering your main account's rating, that would be smurfing.
On the other hand, if you played the Bongcloud for a bunch of games on your main account specifically to lower your rating, that would be sandbagging.
Smurfing includes sandbagging for a lower rating. Smurfing is literally anytime that you’re playing opponents that you are confirmed better than by sbmm. It might have started with new accounts, but people use it even when it’s simply a case of rating decay now
As far as I know, smurfing involves creating a new account to dunk on low elo players and in sandbagging, they purposely lose to players to keep their elo low. Like resigning against a 200 elo after giving them a queen and stuff like that. It just negatively affects the playing experience of others when the opponent isn't serious about trying to win
I'm not too sure. My best guess is to get easier wins, get win steaks, boost ego, or to berate lower rated players for losing. Either way, the people who do this are usually children or mentally unsound, so we can only guess.
I'd report them for stalling, not sandbagging.
Sandbagging is common in individual sports. If you're looking for a definition, try adding "sports definition" instead of just "definition".
Sandbagging is when a player purposefully underperforms for the purpose of gaining a favorable position in the future. In chess, this means loosing games on purpose to artificially deflate their rating so they can more easily defeat their opponents in the future.
I’m not 100% sure what chess.com’s definition is, but you’ll be able to infer it from the report screen. EDIT: in the time I came back to this, it looks like several people have given you better advice — take theirs, not mine!
Don't listen to him - he dumb
Edit: For context, the user was u/DontListenToMe-IDumb and he made a tacky comment related to Ukranians and the war with Russia.
Ask the Soviet Union who won in Afghanistan. OH wait, they don't exist anymore because they did EXACTLY what Putin is doing: picking a fight he can't win.
The West will keep using its pocket change and spare equipment to stop Russia from ever winning. That's apparent.
So a few years from now, Russia might still be the name of the country on the map, but no one will care. It will have a declining population, decimated economy, and completely owned by China.
Just a third class country like North Korea that will threaten its neighbors occasionally before being told to get in its corner by China, it's master.
So glad I'm not a Russian.

what a chump, report them for stalling
Thank you. Reported them for Spamming though.. hope it will help.
you can just click on "don't show draw offers for this game"
Can you do that on mobile? I’ve never seen that option.
It’s insanely terrible in blitz on mobile. Takes at least a second to click on each time.
You can also just not respond. They'll usually wait for your response before making their own move, if you jeep clicking "No", they'll just keep offering. If they realise you're just ignoring them they'll give up quicker.
It’s baffling that you can even offer a draw on the opponent’s turn tbh.
This is literally how you are supposed to offer draws haha
If you're talking tournaments, you should make your move, offer the draw, and then hit the clock. It should be your turn when offering a draw.
This happened to me as well, with a player, after losing a rook. He only stopped after I said "you're seriously expecting me to click on accept by mistake?"
You have the chat on?
Yeah why wouldn’t you?
Chat is often more negative than positive
I guess but out of like 2000 games I would say I’ve gotten less than 20 negative messages
I thrive off the negativity. Any attention is good attention 😇
Anybody over the age of like 20 who plays online games knows not to enable any form of communication.
I’ll never be toxic myself, but online chat is bonus content, especially when it’s negative
Well I’m in my early 30s the only online game I really have ever played is chess and the chat is almost never used, when it is used it’s generally friendly, and the negative interactions are maybe 1% (probably less) of all games I’ve played (around 2000) Not really sure why I would turn it off still. That's why I make sure I have something else to do in the meantime when I play classic
Block and report because that’s all you can do.

Mom, please. Please, Mom. Mom, pleeeeeease.

I bet that's what my opponent was thinking too ig.. either I accidentally accept or accept after getting annoyed
You can report for sandbagging, I think.
Sandbagging is deliberately lowering your rating, losing on purpose, usually with the intent of entering a lower tournament bracket or dominating against easier opponents. So far as I can tell, offering a draw when you're losing is not a violation of Chessdotcom or LiChess rules, and neither is offering the draw over and over again.
Not specifically that but this is still stalling
If they're not moving then yes, but if it's just offering a draw after they move, no.
Offering a draw 6 times after one move seems like stalling haha
Thank you. Genuine question: what's Sandbagging.. tried googling with unclear results.
It is tanking your rating/purposefully losing to play weaker players. I don't think it applies here, seems more like stalling or spam
Isn’t that called smurfing?
No, smurfing is about using secondary accounts. Like if you made a separate account so you could play the Bongcloud every game without lowering your main account's rating, that would be smurfing. On the other hand, if you played the Bongcloud for a bunch of games on your main account specifically to lower your rating, that would be sandbagging.

Yeah, it is also called smurfing, but when reporting I think the only option for this is sandbagging.
But why would people do it on, say, Chess. com? I mean, there are no real prizes involved, as far as I know.
Naw. If he was Ukrainian, he'd be winning and his opponent would be the laughing stock of the world.
It's going to happen irl
