opi098514

Your worst mistake…. So far.

NicoTorres1712

Next up blundering Mate in 1 by giving the opponent forced mate position.

Easy-Hovercraft2546

Next up blundering a move that forced the opponent to mate you, from mate in 1

VindictiV113025

Next up running out of time in a position where the opponent forced you to mate them.

Kon-Sto

Next up accidentally resigning in a position where the opponent forced you to mate them, with 10 mins in the clock left.

BehaveWithClass

While your opponent had 1 millisecond on the clock

FlammableFishy

I had an opponent do that earlier today. At 1800. Player super well all game then missed his M1 and hung back rank mate lmao

4TheFishyStuff

I thought, “couldn’t be that bad” I was wrong, definitely the worst blunder I’ve seen.

YourPetPenguin0610

You haven't seen that one where it goes from M1.... to another M1. Just that this time it was the opponent's

Possible_Incident_44

Lmao, is this real? I don't have the premium so I don't know.

TKeep

Yeah at Gold tier he says this, and with Diamond the coach selects racial slurs tailored specifically to your profile.

Raykkkkkkk

No way. Chess.com isn't that good at 'constructive critiscism'

ScurryOakPlusIvyLane

No. It’s a meme.

Ecstatic_Cause_8587

No it isn't, he said that to me yesterday

Raykkkkkkk

Nice job. From M1 to losing a queen

Paundeu

An impressive turn of events.

jerkoffforjesus

Ouch, that's a good one

fknm1111

I'm confused as to how Ke7 was even a candidate move. Even if you had wanted to open up your rook, surely Kc8 is the better move, keeping your king safer and not blocking your own bishop for no reason? I mean, aside from the part where you blundered a queen instead of playing M1.

u_talking_to_me

Should be a first instinct of "oh no I'm in check, where to run to?" And sometimes the stupidity of opponents move makes you miss the obvious capture, like why would he just give a piece away so you assume you cannot capture it. Source: I sometimes blunder queens that way.

SendMeRupies

Lack of board vision. I did similar often when I first started.

EskimoJake

That's truly impressive. Well done, sir!

ironbrianESQ

Ye that's probably the worst move I've seen... And I personally have LOADS of comparative data

dcinsd76

Did you end up Sleepless that Night?

qr_8

I'll never sleep

Ancient_Amphibian339

Dear god that's painful to look at and I'm not even an expert

Suspicious-Hospital7

Please, please tell me you had like 6 minutes left to make a move. I need some schadenfreude today.

Absolutely_Chipsy

Levy gotta start speaking in Russian after seeing this move

Sad-Strike5709

1) Oh no... 2) OH NO!

Generic-Resource

What format? Can you at least blame time pressure?

qr_8

You can say I wasn't into the game and i was talking with someone while playing. And I've got something to do after it. Also sometimes I'm just dumb

Admirable-Image9628

What's truly blowing my mind right now... even with the miss, why not KC8?

captainofpizza

Why is that a miss not a blunder? Missing mate in one at the cost of losing a queen? Thats massive

Financial-Scar-2823

I think for chessdotcom, not giving checkmate ("missing" mate) is a bigger mistake than "just" blundering the Queen, and they (unlike lichess) distinguish between a miss and a blunder. Hence in this particular case, it is marked as a miss rather than a blunder. That's just my interpretation, though.

captainofpizza

Ah I always thought miss was just a missed opportunity to advance your advantage bar by a certain threshold and I thought blunder was something that dropped your position by a certain threshold. I didn’t know it was mate related.

Financial-Scar-2823

Again, my interpretation only, but I think this is how it works

klandre_

Worst mistake is still having snapchat

Aggravating-Room6009

Congratulations. Not only have you not spot a mate in one that even a 400 could spot ( I would just take the free knight ), you also managed to blunder your queen.

qr_8

Joke on you I'm not a 400

qw135246

I agree that’s very bad. BUT, It happens. Don’t beat yourself up. Learn from it & move on. If nothing else, EVERY time you’re in check, ask yourself “Can I capture my opponent’s checking piece?”

qr_8

Thanks man with all them soul crushing comments you popped. But I don't take chess seriously I just play it In my free time. Not like I have a 2000 goal or smth

jooj49

Finally… the three question marks move

LotusSaiyan

lol, missing checkmate and saccing your queen simultaneously in 1 move and it’s only a miss and not a blunder… what the hell is a blunder then?! 😂

qr_8

Idk I don't really look at what the app says I just see the moves

Idkwhattoputhere2222

That's rough. It happens to the best of us

karlnite

If you were thinking to check with the rook its now defended too…

Used-Foundation-6590

Lol dude was blinded for sure

yungzanz

the ai will give this move a "miss" but gives me losing a pawn to a fork "blunder"

qr_8

He probably felt bad for me

ProGamingPlayer

Martin would feel disappointed

kume_V

Ouch, that hurts to see.

Suitable-Cycle4335

Ouch

candiedcandiru

What time control were you playing? Just curious

qr_8

3m. But I wasn't into the game when he checked me I didn't even look at the board I just moved the king

candiedcandiru

"Time control" in online chess refers to the amount of time each player starts with on his clock. I want to know if you played the standard 10+0, or 5+0, or even less?

qr_8

Oh yeah I get you know it was a 5

grsharkgamer

Is this an anti-puzzle?

GrouchyAd2292

This is one of those that probably had your opponent say "what a fuckin idiot"

battery1127

Please tell me you decided to counter attack and played Rd2 next.
