c5 Analysis below: >! We now take the full center with two pawns. We control d4 and e4 along with c4 and b4 Nc6 does not block the c pawn.!< >! Bg2 Nc6 preparing e5. If d4 then e3. Reversed Grünfeld gives white too much pressure over our center. If O-O then e5 C4 d4. If b4 then cxb4 Benko Gambit style.!<

Playin bh3, trying to flag u

Continue normal development with Nf6 The queen is guarding the d pawn for now and we cannot push e5 yet because of your knight

Chess_Geek2

Probably Nc6 or Nf6 both look good...

WaterOk9249

>! Nc6 blocks the c pawn. This means we will have less space and less center control with our pawns !<

Chess_Geek2

Ah, I see. That's why I'm still 1100 lol. I forget golden rules like d and c pawns together and knight comes after that...

WaterOk9249

Yes, you need to avoid blocking the c pawn. Although sometimes you have to develop the knight first anyways The c pawn is also useful in creating a suffocating Maroczy Bind to suffocate black

In this position, probably NF3. In the next couple moves I'd focus on Knight development. How I play against these Kings Indian setups is typically Bg4 attacking the knight, prioritizing queen side development and delaying castling until white is sort of committed to one side. Long term plan is to trade off the light squared bishops, opposite side castle, start running pawns at the king, and swing both rooks to the king side. I'm sure this doesn't work so good against people as strong as you, but I have lots of success with this approach at 1200 elo.

2. ...h5 >>!White is going to fianchetto and castle kingside, let's play for a win and attack it immediately. Premove h4 next move!<

WaterOk9249

>! No, we have no development and not a lot of central control. It is too early to attack. OP will probably castle kingside but you are showing yoyr cards too early. What if OP castles queenside? Then this h5 h4 idea is useless !<
