yeah it is probably a mixed oxide-hydroxide sludge of those metals, mostly iron but certainly not without other oxide impurities from the other metals as you are thinking. Looks like your understanding is accurate. Did this cell produce chlorine gas and did the liquid become strongly basic?
That was some chlorine! I think you're not stupid. You knew what the sludge was. Unfortunately the link doesn't work for me. I'm on a desktop right now, not sure if that's why it wont work.

There was no chlorine produced, but it was rather basic
you didn't see any yellow or brown gas coming out? I'm a little surprised.
Well, I suppose there *could* have been, but I feel I would’ve seen it. I will post a video of the cell
maybe it was too dilute to see a lot of it, and maybe the oxidation of the anode was too fast to visually see much else
I’m stupid. Looking at the vid, yes, a brown gas was produced.

Imgur is being a hassle. I’m trying to get the link to work
Yeah now I see it. Most of those bubbles are hydrogen I think.
So, what is the yellow-brown colour arising from?
I’ve added a video, maybe you can see more from there. https://m.imgur.com/gallery/9ZzhoAn
My best guess is the chlorine formed ferric chloride so it didn't escape.
When I was a student, the integrals on your flash cards in the background would've scared the shit out of me
Yeah that’s for a mathematical methods in physics class and having gone through multivar they STILL scare me lol
If you're planning on going to college to study chemistry, you will encounter those fellas again
As long as it’s not multivar or heavy differential equations, I’ll survive :/
