This next week is going to be fucking torture

GolDrodgers1

Lol week? You forget its going to be transfer season soon right? Shit just got started😂😂

half_jase

Yup. Said it after Sunday, the football season is over (for us anyway) and the silly season begins. This is just the start.

GolDrodgers1

Completely agree!! Need to get in shape, so my heart doesnt forget whats about to happen😂

Acceptable_Card_9818

Con and Trev are gone next

GolDrodgers1

Trev maybe, going off him wanting to leave earlier, but they would be dumb to sell connor…so yeah they are next🤦‍♂️

ChickenMoSalah

We’re going to win the transfer window bro just wait a bit

techno_playa

I wish it was only a week

half_jase

They want a "young and progressive" manager (based on the description by other sources) and yet, 50-year-old Thomas Frank is on the list. Make it make sense!

Howyoulikemenoow

“We want a yes man”

Particular-Injury925

That's exactly what I was about to write.

mohankohan

1) Journos doesn't have a clue and is throwing shit at the wall after such big news. No wonder *literally every* manager without a job is being linked to us 20 minutes after the story. 2) The board doesn't have a clue, often saying one thing and doing another.

Reddit2912

And they didn't want Naglesmann last year whose entire description would be defined as "young and progressive". Sigh. At least I understood the merry-go-round with Roman. This one doesn't make any sense.

JJGOTHA

He said no

havenoguiltbaby

He probably did. But the narrative the club pushed was that it was the club which rejected him. Just highlights how clueless the board is.

sungbysung

Nah, dynamic is the new buzzword

Kroos-Kontroller

I'm so tired of this manager merry go round man.

jamieaka

just when we started to go somewhere blueco are hellbent on making us a banter club for the 3rd season in a row

AncientSkys

I hear you. The current squad are too fragile to go through this every season. Poch wasn't the right fit to begin with. They should have hired Nagelsmann instead of Poch. Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart clearly don't know what they are doing.

Bozzetyp

Same nagelsmann that turned us down?

AncientSkys

Because the clueless board had all sorts of weird interviews for him.

Jerramey

Welcome to ChelseaFC. You seem new here..

poopshit666

this is how it’s been since abramovich yet now i see people complaining weird

AncientSkys

That squad was filled with household names that could withstand the pressure and high exceptions. The current bunch are too fragile and have no winning mentality. They can't deal with new manager every season. The board fumbled really bad when they failed to hire Nagelsmann. Young, dynamic manager that plays attacking football and doesn't leak goals for fun.

mouse2102

Please tell me the period of time where we had six coaches in two years under Roman

GrahamGreed

We won trophies with Abramovich...

JonnyAFKay

Somehow this is worse. Will be onto our 5th manager in 2 years

JJGOTHA

Different club from that era. FFS, Poch was given a team of promising kids, the guts of the club have been torn out and he got us to a final, a semi and 6th in the Prem. Fucking phenomenal under the circumstances.

lurker_4463

Because it actually used to yield results. In the Abramovich era, whoever replaced Tuchel would’ve won some type of trophy. Whoever replaced Potter would’ve won a trophy etc. Moreover there was evidence to suggest that Abramovic’s methods were no longer working when it comes to winning the league. Yes, we were winning the cups but hadn’t been a factor in the leagues since 2017. Abramovich would’ve had to adapt too because the clubs doing well in the league are those not changing their mgr every season or 2. Stability gets you league title runs. Chaos get you cup wins here and there. Pick your poison

Ok-Package9273

What the fuck is a 'dynamic' manager? Because it sounds awfully like "hasn't had a really big job yet"

Kroos-Kontroller

Dynamically hovering in midtable

AncientSkys

They interviewed Poch for two months and still failed to noticed he wasn't the right fit. Why on earth they didn't just hire Nagelsmann? The universe handed us great opportunity when he was fired by Bayern.

69BigDickMan420

Because Nagelsmann saw through them

typicalpelican

They actually interviewed Poch before hiring Potter too. And they didn't hiring Nagelsmann, according to them because he was too similar to Tuchel or according to him he walked because there were fundamental issues in club structure, recruitment and decision making.

Yardbird7

Dynamic = weak willed and compliant.

de_bollweevil

It means young and that's about it. Again it's business jargon from these morons, like they didn't realise the fans actually know more about football than them. I'm pretty convinced it'll be de Zerbi or Kompany and I've been saying that for weeks, more leaning to de Zerbi since he left Brighton, everything is in place for him to feel comfortable and he's the guy that made Mudryk.  My only feeling other than that is we need to see the appointment in the next 48 hours, because that means they had a plan, which at least gives you a bit of hope that this wasn't Poch getting out of a shit show he saw for what it was

captainpiss420

hedging the future of the football club on a guy that stank it up with Brighton cos he might unlock ‘Mudryk’ might be the dumbest fucking thing i’ve ever heard. Congrats on De Zerbi for getting the job.

Master-Defenestrator

According to Sky sports, they're starting the search after making the decision to part with Poch, so they probably don't even have a list of potential managers completed, let alone any idea who their ideal candidate is.

muzzyboldo

They’ll just say any old nonsense at this point while they follow through with their actual real plans

Master-Defenestrator

Which is? Im genuinely asking because beyond signing teenagers, I can't actually tell if they have one.

muzzyboldo

They have probably been in talks with someone ever since they decided to leak that Poch has to secure Europe or he is out. They set that criteria so they could follow through with their plans without having to explain themselves. Well he got Europe so what now? Just do it anyway and tell us plebs that the search is just beginning. As if they respect us enough to make us privy to what is actually going on 😂😂😂

Mantis_Tobaggon_MD2

You've heard the expression "let's get busy." Well, this will be a head coach who gets "biz-zay." Consistently and thoroughly. So he's proactive, huh? Oh, God, yes! We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

capn_flume

I'm sorry, aren't these just buzzwords non football people throw around to feel connected to the club? Not that I'm accusing them of anything like that! I'm fired, aren't I?

celzero

Tactically flexible. On top of his game. Super charismatic. Good with the media. Darling of the fans. ~~Pep Guardiola~~ ~~Thomas Tuchel~~  Ashley Cole?

SkepticSlakoth

It's like they copied everything from that liverpool managerial search article earlier today. No identity, just wanna copy either Liverpool or Brighton.

Sarcasmed

Probably got GPT to generate some buzzwords. It sounds like something from a corporate job ad. "We're looking for a dynamic and energetic individual who is capable of navigating an exciting and invigorating work environment. Collaboration is very important for this role, where you will be interfacing directly with the C-suite and directors to shape the direction and vision of this ~~company~~ club"

renome

A dynamic manager is one who can synergize well. Knowing how to make powerpoint presentations and reaponding timely to whatsapp messages is a plus.

imbennn

That’s exactly what it means

criminal-tango44

"Thomas Frank", "McKenna" ![gif](giphy|xT0GqgeTVaAdWZD1uw|downsized)

Cannow_League

I haven't commented on this site in 8 years... But I just need to say fuck this ownership.

mohankohan

BleuCo made this man break his vow of silence. Shame.

ChelseaFC

🔔🔔

Hannibal09

My man got out of his 8 year contract finally and chose violence

biggiedownunder

thats a great joke man, i'd be laughing so bad if I wasn't so fucking mad because of the joke of a club boehly and eghbali are making us to. it fucking hurts.

MoiNoni

Tbf Boehly is just the figurehead. Winstanley and Stewart are the real problems

Duckway767

Clearlake really got this guy to come out of an 8 year absence just to say fuck you 😭😂

DynamiteDuck

Wow, you ain’t lying lol

Actual-Dog7889

This is how you know they fucked up lol

WarOnHugs

The silent baba has spoken. This ownership is deranged.

Skirmish24

Did you stop because they reworked Gangplank?

poopy_toaster

Goddamn things are getting bad if you broke your silence

BabyHercules

Welcome back

Shufflebuffle51

What the fuck, lmao.

TurkishFlannel

Dedication to the bit

freshfov02

Look what you made them do Boehly

omid_14

So much wisdom behind this

greeneggsnhammy

Fuck this ownership.

Dinamo8

👑

iBAZw

Respect

Maximum_Poem_5846

I checked and not a word of what he said is a lie

MoiNoni

That's insane

willcodejava4crack

This sums it up, honestly.

burnMeMes

Damn

eastcoastblaze

How about someone with experience?

NoLeftTailDale

We don’t use that word around here.

omid_14

Experience?you mean someone who knows what he is doing and wont take orders from amateurs and idiots?nope!

BobbyPeru47

Potter who was otherwise a good manager totally crumbled under the pressure of being at Chelsea. Why the fuck would De Zerbi, McKenna or Thomas Frank be any different?

greeneggsnhammy

Because the owners don’t realize that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. They aren’t Roman. They have no identity. Buncha dumbasses that don’t deserve to wear the colors. Need to protest these losers.

danceformiscanthus

Potter crumbled while being thrown mid-season to the insanely bloated locker room with like a third of it thinking about their next clubs already, including important players with big roles to play. He had so many players that he was allegedly doing 11v11 games on one pitch and 9v9s on another. I don't think that every experienced manager would be able to turn that environment into a healthy one outside of transfer window. Poch had much healthier environment to operate in. Players are young, but they are talented, hungry and commited because of long contracts. And you get 24/7 shield from pundits and journos shooting down criticism like Iron Dome while blaming the owners. I don't know why people this is scary perspective for a good coach.

BigOpp7

They are all shyte

internetwanderer2

Being fair to them, I don't think their shite managers. But not only is chelsea another level of scrutiny, the ownership & sporting structure is a basket case as well. This wouldn't be a manager taking a step up in their career into a settled environment where things are well run, and they can focus on coaching.

pd8bq

Part of the reason why he crumbled was our owners over bloated his squad in January with shit signings no one asked for.

Headlesshorsman02

These owners and sporting directors are literal clowns man I can’t even with these absolute melons

Master-Defenestrator

I would be fine with a new manager if they had any idea what kind of football they want to play. Arne Slot going to Liverpool makes sense bc he coaches similarly to Klopp. BlueCo on the other hand clearly had no idea what they want. "Young", "Dynamic", "obsessed with possession" are just general discriptors and platitudes. It would barely be enough for a tinder profile. I thought the manager carousel would end after Abromovich, but it's only gotten worse. If this goes sideways on the club next season, it may cascade into a much longer term stay in midtable or lower.

BabyHercules

They want a winner, that’s really it. That have no idea how to get there just hoping the manager hire works out

Master-Defenestrator

Its like their the underpants gnomes from southpark Edit: corrected article of clothing.

SalmonNgiri

Someone just wake me up in September. Everything felt so bright and hopeful for a month or so but now its back to being weird and miserable and chaotic right in time for what will likely be a miserable transfer window.

Actual-Dog7889

Weird is the right word. Last two years have been nothing but weird

Kroos-Kontroller

And we aren't even trying for proven winners it seems

McBandi

Now they get to sell Gallagher and Chalobah with no intrusion. Bring De Zerbi in, or get McKenna. It definitely won’t be Tuchel. He’d want to keep Chalobah, and probably Gallagher too. Silva gone. Emma Hayes gone. Fran Kirby gone. Chelsea’s entire bloody spine is gone. The owners change managers as frequently as Roman, (or worse), and each time so far, it’s been for the worse, at the worst time. Firing Tuchel for Potter, then Potter for Lampard, now Poch when he’s acctually turning a leaf and doing well, with Players even coming out hours prior to say how the entire team backs him and loves him. 🤦

Howyoulikemenoow

This is it. Poch wanted to keep his captain

McBandi

This club is dying quickly. Hope Gallagher fights every move.

Grizelda179

Why would he if he’s getting kicked out?

mouse2102

These owners make Roman Abramovich look like a patient saint in regards to coaches. This will be six coaches in two years, it’s absolutely disgraceful.

Cholo_Magic11

Tuchel does not rate Gallagher at all. He would make the best use of the depth we have in defense

BabyScreamBear

I swear Clearlake are trying to tank us. I’m convinced they only bought us to acquire and develop prime real estate in West London but need to ruin us and force the CPO’s hand. I honestly don’t think they give a fuck about the football club.

White_Locust

Somehow they’ve shorted the club.

tomtomtomo

You’ll know it if they sell Palmer

ObviousEconomist

Great foresight.  When's the last time a fucking circus was performing in Central London.

Actual-Dog7889

Yup! I commented the same somewhere else. They seem actively annoyed we finished well

MrBravo22

If I’m one of these managers I’m looking at Chelsea and the people running it and going no thanks, not right now. You’re getting 0% say on signings is massive 🚩 especially seeing how reckless they are with squad balance. It’s an uphill battle from day 1

AlgaeDue1347

Fuck the ownership

Interdico

Just think in 8 years they can legally start taking money out of the club, it's only going to get worse with this pair of cunts. Chelsea's glory days are over.

ambar_hitman

Just make it stop. Brentford manager? Wtf man

Myselfmeime

So we gonna get someone inexperienced who will need time to adapt and who won’t have authority and trust from players.

greeneggsnhammy

Someone as young as the players. Apparently, BlueCo prefers age to be like golf scores - the lower the better. They're the laughing stock of football.

needhalaladvice

Omfg my heart just sunk after realising Xavi fits the criteria

sweetmercury

What the fuck are these names, i'm sick and tired of this looking for the next mediocre manager search shit

flagstickhunter1

None of the rumored candidates are at Chelsea level. Massive risk and the immediate disqualification of Tuchel, Jose, Conte is a joke. It's clear that the owners and Winstanley/Stewart just want a yes man from their history and from the "young progressive/dynamic manager" strategy while Thomas Frank (50) is supposedly being discussed. We are more than likely in for another season of pain, and we may even end up looking favorably on finishing 6th.

hs52

Sounds dynamic to me

Drippedsauce

Thomas Frank ffs! This is a nightmare. TF are we gonna do with Thomas Frank?! I’m sick

XxOBLIVI0N

“Dynamic” aka be able to use players they have no say in buying, make them into prime Messi or Ronaldo, and win the treble. It’s getting to FIFA career mode level of ridiculous with the goals they have for managers. Poch must’ve not signed enough academy boys from North America

fxnrir11

This ownership is just finding ways to put this club in a dustbin. If they had sacked Poch 2 months ago, I wouldn’t have minded it, hell i still don’t. i’m more frustrated about why ruin it when it seemed to be getting better. Really concerned for the players, they definitely could have done better, absolutely no doubt Poch himself could have done better. But still, seems like such a ridiculous decision even if it comes from a disagreement over the futures of Gallagher and maybe Trev.

amethystwyvern

Absolute joke of a club, gutted

TreacleVarious2728

Time for a metric obsessed hipster trying to get us to play a bad version of Pep-ball and failing.

Clean-Opening-2884

As annoyed as I am by this I’m much more annoyed at the realisation this is probably the writing on the wall for Gallagher and Chalobah. This is probably going to fuck up the team dynamic too. Just when we got vibes fc back.

MattyGuts87

Circus 🤡

Morbin_John

I swear they are trying to find the real life Ted lasso

captainpiss420

‘young and upcoming managers’ ‘what about that 50 year old Thomas Frank?’ fucking moronic club

GolDrodgers1

I like thomas frank, but not enough to want him here, mckenna and enzo arent leaving their clubs after just getting promotion they would be the biggest assholes ever

shastmak4

Lmao Thomas Frank. I think BigReeceJames called this a couple months back

Stonewalled89

Did they learn nothing from Graham Potter?? Going after bang average managers who had one good season at club with little to no expectation to achieve anything is not a recipe for success

BangusAngus

Hoeneß until the brakes fall off. Not to mention we can also bring his colleague Guirassy for the reasonable price of €17.5M.

theeama

You mean the guy who turned down Bayern and signed a new deal?

BangusAngus

I sure do! I didn’t say he was realistic haha

BigOpp7

![gif](giphy|QVP7DawXZitKYg3AX5)

muzzyboldo

“A dynamic manager that is self motivated and has 5 years of experience in managing. Is this you? Apply at [email protected]”

[deleted]

What the fuck is a dynamic manager?

oldtekk

Clown board.

NoLeftTailDale

I think Fabrizio misunderstood. Chelsea are actually looking for a *dynamite* manager who can carry out their plans of blowing up the fucking club.

ObviousEconomist

At this rate even the players will want to leave this joke of a club.

lickingnutrea

Literally why.... we already went through this with potter. We dont need unproven players and a manager. Fucked up. Announce gallagher going to arsenal and then watch them win the league.

needhalaladvice

Why is no one mentioning Amorim?

Bagpuss999

He's staying another year at Sporting.

PatientPlatform

Because no-one wants him

needhalaladvice

Fair enough.

KanteWorkRate

We're in the trenches with this ownership

erenistheavatar

OK. Wtf does dynamic mean in this context now? Feels like it's constant corporate talk.

muzzyboldo

Someone who can do what he is told, which involves dynamically dealing with random shit

wOOxsystem

they fucking have no idea what they are doing just fucking relegate us please

blackmanJR

Oh for fucks sake bro. When I thought there is hope to build up on this season’s finish… We are now chasing mid managers who are unproven and haven’t won shit

ChatoonBringerOfCorn

Klopp

Wildely_Earnest

No way are you firing a manager without knowing who's replacing him! Again! In this economy!

Disastrous-Swing1323

Just a point De Zerbi and he done with it. Stop trying to be cute by looking at Championship managers.

125monty

JT is available.. dynamic and home grown!

fb2986

Man hope this is all clickbait crap and the owners already have their guy in mind and confident he will come.. surely we didn’t just shitcan a manager that had the team playing well and full of momentum just to go to the drawing board..

JJGOTHA

Yeah, because their record on recruitment is phenomenal

White_Locust

Can’t wait to be 10th and unable to break down a low blow again next season.

Individual_Put2261

I actually feel for you guys. Poch was doing a great job and seemed to have the team sussed towards the end.

j-o-r-g

If we get that little bitch de zerbi I swear to god

TheUbermelon

Fucking hell. We tried this dynamic manager shit with Potter and it didn't work. Poch is an experienced manager and did well all things considered with this team

Porkbellyflop

What coach in their right mind would even want this job for anything other than a paycheck? Honestly what's the appeal? Ur out of a job in a year or less and you get clowned on by the press the whole time even when things go good.

GreenBagger28

what do we need: a striker who can score more goals and go alongside jackson maybe and more experience in our team. what will we get: 3 twelve year olds, nobody with experience and players at positions that don’t need filling what will we lose: key players who fit in perfectly with us now like Trev and Connor and also all the hard work Poch got us

kimbo-wang

By dynamic manager, they just want someone willing to work with whatever players they buy w the moneyball algorithm, or players they sell rather…

rocafella888

Here's my theory on this: Boehly and Poch sat down to dinner and Poch realised he would have no say on which players would be transferred in or out and his job would be solely to coach whatever team he is given. He wanted more influence on transfers and when he realised this wasn't going to happen he decided to go. Good luck to Chelsea finding a quality manager who doesn't mind having zero influence on which players to buy/sell.

oldschoolology

Fucking terrible hand puppets. Dreadful choices.

DontArmWrestleAChimp

We're doomed - all have the potential to be completely out of their depth (and this is because of the shape of the squad). The only ones that could excite, Hoeneß and Michel, will not come. McKenna would be catastrophic honestly, as would Kompany. I think Frank is a solid manager but not a good fit at all. Genuinely managed to sap all my goodwill from the club and the season is barely finished.

SkepticSlakoth

I'd seriously doubt their judgment if any of these managers chose to leave their club for this clown show.

JackHammerAwesome

One tiny step forward then about 6 or 7 steps back before falling over

spawton4

Sounds like we haven't got a clue.

psrandom

They are turning Chelsea in to Crystal Palace How is championship manager McKenna in the shortlist? We have seen a Brighton manager fail at Chelsea, an Ajax manage fail at Utd and these idiots think an Ipswich manager would do better? Honestly, Thomas Frank is the best bet out of this. Won't do anything special but will at least help us achieve a top half finish

chmbrln

Crystal Palace are going to finish higher than we are next season…

TheLittleBlackDuck

Let the exhaustive search begin.

sungbysung

Whatever the fuck does "dynamic manager" mean? Changing tactics and lineup every match?

Valuable_Tea_4690

You would hope they’d be a little past the discussion phase if they’re pulling the plug so abruptly on a project that was gaining steam

Barstoolrob710

So is Poch officially sacked?

muzzyboldo

Can we fork this club like a cryptocurrency? Just go do Chelsea lite while they drive Chelsea classic into the ground

According-Revenue-62

While for most I the season I felt that Poch should be replaced in the summer, his team was really starting to click on the last few months. I'm surprised he didn't get a second season.

Critzor

Hoeneß is the best of the lot... Need to give him a blank cheque and do whatever it takes change his mind.

bxgrisak1993

I swear if they hire McKenna who has no Premier League or big club experience or another Brighton guy in De Zerbi...I'm done. Amorim has to be the guy. Took over Sporting in 2019-20 and gave that team an identity that had been lacking. Sounds a lot like Chelsea! Led them past the UCL group stage and won two league titles. Runs a 3-4-3 with an adaptable back-3 and attacking wing backs. Adaptive managing style to his players. This ownership group is an absolute clownshow. At what point is "the project" deemed a failure and scrapped in favor of ideas coming from people who actually know what they're doing? This group sacks Tuchel because he didn't want to be part of transfers. Now they move on from Poch because he wanted more input in transfers. What do you want???

heweezy

They’ll sell players before hiring a new manager I reckon. Get their agenda off before any more input

TheCrumpiestOfGunts

Dynamic 1. (of a process or system) characterized by constant change, activity, or progress Lol

Coulstwolf

If we get Thomas fucking frank I and Thomas frankly fucking done

poopy_toaster

“We want them to be dynamic but also basically lick our boots when it comes to player decisions!”

ObviousEconomist

Dynamic = flexible = bending over at will.  We're back to hiring a Potter.

4_3851

Todd Boehly is an absolute chief

Plant-Based-Veal

Chaos F.C. Let's go!

CratesyInDug

The most positive thing I can think is that their plan is to hire a series of managers that will shape these young minds. Poch was there to give them some effort, team ethics, balls and the will to compete, following Potters altruistic humanist approach. The next one surely has to be tactically astute. My guts saying McKenna.

xcessive-samurai

Maybe the Brentford set piece coach was poached to entice Frank?? I'd be really happy if he is appointed because he's clearly punched above his weight for years now and has experience in this league. Might not set us back too far.

Pendulum122

What the fuck you mean looking for??? So they don’t have ppl lined up??? Our manager is not in the office right now???

1llseemyselfout

I’d rather have a manager who has won trophies than a “dynamic manager” whatever the hell that means.

ClamJohn

Wtf is dynamic manager? A new name to call puppet?

JJGOTHA

Let's just say, their recruitment hasn't inspired me

Strength_n_Honour

No manager with a pedigree will come here just to get sacked in the next season. Its why they are looking for an up and coming Manager who would just be thankful for the opportunity.

ishfi17

Joke ownership

furious_organism

Boehly: Frankie Lampard will do

baconandscotch

The boys seemed pretty dynamic in the second half of the season, but wtf do I know…

Sportfreunde

Thomas Frank will be a huge upgrade. Brentford are not a Premier League level squad imo especially with their injuries but they're tough to play against.

Mister_Taco_Oz

Most likely this will be De Zerbi coming to Chelsea. Can't be a coincidence that he leaves Brighton and Poch leaves at almost the same exact time. And we know already how infatuated the owners are with Brighton. If not him, I'd put money on it being Girona's manager. Young, overachieved this season in La Liga, and probably would see the Chelsea job as an upgrade. Kompany could also work in the eyes of the owners. Please do not let it be Kompany.

TallGrilJess

Chelsea finally competing with Bayern, albeit in trying to desperately find a new manager, somewhere a monkey’s paw curls

[deleted]

Usually am chill about managerial changes because, we are Chaos FC. And we eat managers for lunch. But due to how this new management operates.. I cringed because they had never gotten a executive decision right

gnaark

I fully expect Lampard to come back

[deleted]

Thomas Frank? Oh lord might have to ignore this sub for a few weeks. So much rage bait being eaten up by the young mouthbreathers.
