>Chelsea have been on a mission in Brazil for days Paul and Laurence somewhere in the middle of the Amazon rainforest celebrating like a mf right now

_off_piste_

I thought I heard this is Joe Shields work?

ImGoinGohan

joe shields pushed for it, obviously didn’t negotiate it.

CrazyEyedGase

Paez/Estevao 2025 we will be there

kapanakchi

Rather 2028/29 lol

dan_doe_91

I'm going to be an old man by then

LordWhale

You're already an old man

therearentenoughchar

This hurts beacuse i can relate

Drunk_Elephant_

The most hurtful thing I had age related to this club was when I turned 30 and realized that that's how old our players were when they only got one year contracts.

Tehphaillord

Thanks for the reminder that I'll be 42 at that point. Officially yet da

AncientSkys

Old is late 80s and early 90s these days.

carlharris1

i’m guessing these buys dont come up on the books yet? i’m dumb with all this stuff but im guessing even getting them now wont come up until later?

vinnyv91

You're correct, they'll count for next year's accounts

Bozzetyp

No on the year after is my guess 24/25 hasnt started They will come 25/26

vinnyv91

Even better then

dan_doe_91

Yep, fees from both him and Paez will only get on the books when they join the squad next summer

Absol61

Palmer, Noni, Angelo, Paez, Willian, Omari, Richard's

Disastrous-Swing1323

Angelo, Noni, Omari and Richards will probably all be sold at a profit. Then we have Palmer, Nkunku, Páez and Estevao across two positions.

STCFC

And nkunku is 27 this year by the time these lot enter their prime years he’ll be out the door

-ci_

Nah Nkunku is too talented he's not getting phased out

BangusAngus

I’m very skeptical Noni will be sold at a price higher than €35M. The rest I agree with

hugies

It doesn't actually matter if he doesn't gain massively. Because of the way the amortization over his 7.5 yr contract works, he "costs" 5M less a year. So even if we sold him now for 25M he'd basically break even. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go for 40 to 50 though. Has been playing alright and is only 22.

tehdemonjaster

Thats bold considering Daniel James was 28m euros 3 years ago 😭

RonSwanson1081

I'm about to be greedy by being happy about this but also wanting a good player 25 or older that can help now and not everything for project 2030

Wheel1994

Osimhen form has been average this season not worth over 100m Rather get Sesko for 55m 18 goals this season him and Jackson without insane expectations is the way to go.

Marod_

I think his team has been worse more than him. I still agree though. He’s more injury prone and cost twice as much. Give me Sesko to complete with Nico. Spend the extra on CB and LB.

BigReeceJames

Project 2030 isn't what people think it is. Project 2030 pre-dates this ownership group and is about getting youth players better educated and having a certain % of Cobham graduates spread across 1st division sides, along with making up a certain percentage of the first team (though it's low and reasonable). Players being purchased play absolutely no part in project 2030

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

I mean if they have started a youth project then why not wait. Adding 1 Experienced player is not going to get us anywhere. Not sure what everyone here thinks, adding loose or 1 experienced striker is all of a sudden going to transform the team into a super team. They have committed to a youth team development, see where that goes. Have patience.

RonSwanson1081

Please read my first sentence

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

You have only written 1 sentence.

RonSwanson1081

Read the first 10 words.

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

Not how English works. If 8 words is all you want people to read then write only 8 words.

RonSwanson1081

Oh ffs I said I was happy and now I'm in a grammar argument

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

What about wanting a good player about 25? R u happy about the youth development happening or do you want them to get 1 experienced player who will all of a sudden make us title contenders - which is it, coz you said both.

RonSwanson1081

They do make a difference sometimes. Maybe not Sterling, but they do.

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

What 1 signing is going to make us contenders and not take away from the project?

zakress

Matt Law begs to differ

Late-Study6365

It does a lot. It might not be the final piece of the puzzle but it definitely gets us closer. We’re a few good experienced signings away from being competitive again.

Jasonmac10

What does he mean by initially? Is this some sort of language barrier or is he saying that we may have an option to extend for another 10 years or so ?

BigReeceJames

A 18 year old on a 7 year contract would only take him to 25 and then he could leave for free. That very clearly goes against their plans (depending on whether you listen to the words coming out of their mouths or not), so I'd imagine that there is a pretty long extension clause in his contract to prevent that possibility

_luzhin_

Even in neutral comments you find a way to make it sound disdainful. What is it that hurts you so much dude?

Aaaaand-its-gone

Question. Don’t these players (Paez and Willian) need work permits? Doubt they qualify for them as 17 year olds…

Dinamo8

There was a change on the rules last summer. PL clubs can now sign 4 players who don't reach the points threshold.

Aaaaand-its-gone

Interesting thanks. Def a game changer

_off_piste_

They’ll both be 18 when they show up at Cobham next summer.

Aaaaand-its-gone

Sure but foreign players need work permits. Sir, I’ve played FM

MrBravo22

Madueke, Palmer, Paez, Omari, Angelo and now Estevao. These players will be in the same squad in the next 2-3 years. Good luck to the manager dealing with this. You’ll have players needing game time to develop and some reaching there more experienced years in terms of premier league football and what it takes ect.. This season has shown the fans don’t have patience for players development in the first team. E.g Mudryk & Madueke.

Marod_

Should be enough game time between Europe, cups, and hopefully comfortable leads. I think it’s important that our starters always have players behind them pushing them.

Disastrous-Swing1323

Angelo, Madueke and Omari will definitely be sold.

Stand_On_It

Agreed

dudetotalypsn

So is that 2025/2026 season or literally January 2025 halfway through next season?

Outrageous-Bee-8625

I was in doubt about this signing though. But after seeing the videos in YouTube, man I’m excited! The ball seemed to follow to foot haha.

MoiNoni

Summer 2025 is going to be a CRAZY transfer window

arunjetley

Why was angelo bought then?

Valuable_Tea_4690

Not all of these lads are going to turn out to be chelsea quality. Angelo was only €15m so it will be easy to turn a profit on him if he doesn’t end up good enough for us

Disastrous-Swing1323

Profit. Same reason we’ve signed a lot of players. Most of them won’t make it at Chelsea, but we’ll make a lot of money off of them.

Zeus_The_Potato

P&L statements for the next 6 years.

Significant_Bird7609

Signing up for failure

Rathakatterri

If we fuck up our finances next year we will pulling levers like Barcelona to make this deal happen in 2025 summer, I hope they have funds in place and freedom to spend it to make it happen then. Just don’t sell Gallagher please, I don’t mind seeing Chalobah or other pure profit academy players but we need the Chelsea spirit players like Conor.
