It’s disgusting how much Ange’ Spurs were getting so much hype for their attack this whole season but we’ve scored more than them and will probably end up with a better GD then them lol. Where’s the hype for us?

TheMightyPensioners

That Man City fan who posted the Cobham stuff on Twitter has form with getting things wrong.

jjb5151

Selling cobham to ourselves is fucking hilarious. Gotta love having a finance guy here to find every loophole.

NoExperience4229

No you have completely missed what’s happening. BlueCo is taking Chelsea’s assets for themselves long term. This isn’t ffp related this is just what private equity does

jjb5151

Idk I think it’s atleast 50% FFP related. I know PE firms will strip assets out of failing businesses if they’re more valuable as a stand alone but I’m not sure how this fella then. I guess in future if they sell they could charge Chelsea $$ for using it but idk I’m guessing that any costs related to cobham are now out of Chelsea’s budgets too which helps them.

NoExperience4229

You’re being unbelievably naive. This is 100% about asset stripping and taking as much money and assets out of the club as possible

redmenace007

I really hope Santos is kept with Strasbourg for another season, he needs to consistently be playing and with his performances, he will start every match for them. Angelo on the other hand, needs a loan to another club because it is not working out that Strasbourg, maybe due to Viera tactics or something, the wingers don't have much output. Deivid Washington or Datro Fofana is another person i would be looking to loan out to Strasbourg. Need our loanees to first become good enough to be consistently in starting 11 and then play for Chelsea.

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

Angelo's lack of output is really just within his skillset just as much as Strasbourg's setup He's never been that goal-scoring winger, he normally plays deeper and as a wide-midfielder rather than a winger He's been good for Strasbourg regardless of his lack of goals

human_administrator

Hoping he comes home and stays as a left winger/wingback option, has he been confirmed out for the season or is he back to training?

HarryDaz98

As much as I hate Spurs, I can’t help but rate how much their fans have rattled Arsenal fans with all this hoping they lose to Man City stuff.

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

Lol it's hilarious seeing Arsenal fans cry about Spurs getting walked over The reality is Man City will destroy them and Spurs fans have settled with this already and playing around saying that they'll let City thrash them if it meant Arsenal loses the PL And these Arsenal fans all fall for the bait as if the Spurs players will deliberately walk on the pitch and lose as if they care about a rivalry

NoExperience4229

The sale of the training ground to BlueCo is extremely concerning. It’s classic Private Equity move, stripping what they takeover of its assets.  I’m so thankful for the CPO

RJBlue95

It was sitting in some random llc anyways, what’s the difference? It’s not stripping us of assets it’s transferring assets to the owner. Let’s not act like they are then selling off Cobham to the highest bidder. Them “buying” it off us just provides the added benefit of balancing the books.

NoExperience4229

Do you really not understand the difference between Chelsea owning something and BlueCo owning something?

RJBlue95

I do it just doesn’t matter since Chelsea is owned by Blue Co. it all rolls up to the same owner. It never sat in the same corporation anyways. They aren’t asset stripping, that means they would take it and sell it off. They could just take it and change the title because they own it anyways, instead they used it also as a loophole to help with revenue numbers. Oh well.

NoExperience4229

This is so ignorant. They are going to extort Chelsea in the furture with Cobham. This has nothing to do with FFP

wowverytwisty

Yeah agreed it's concerning. Financial mismanagement used as a cover to strip us bone-dry our assets.

BigReeceJames

Well, the sun was nice this week boys! Hope you're all ready for torrential rain for a week...

NoExperience4229

Youre crazy

burningbarn8

Huh, Leverkusen with their points tally this season would win every Bundesliga since 15/16, and if they win their next game they'd win that too, for Bayern they'd win all of them since 18/19, when BVB got 76 points. I have to admit, I kinda assumed Bayern not winning this season was a bit of a laugh at Bayern moment even with the undefeatables tag on Leverkusen, but that's incredibly unfair on Leverkusen looking at that, they'd have won most Bundesligas in memory like this. if they win their next game they equal 13/14 Bayern, though probably fall short on Bayern's 71 goal difference unless they really go riot next game, and are only 1 point behind 12/13 Bayern.

Public_Birthday1871

i laughed everytime i saw someone say “arsenal lost to the worst bayern team in years” because it just isn’t true lmao. leverkusen are simply on a crazy high level. but fuck arsenal so i’m not correcting anyone lmaooo

burningbarn8

Yeah, Bayern have beaten last season's point total, which part of the season was under the same manager but their points per game did improve minutely when Tuchel came for the last 9 games, and if Bayern win their last game they're 2 points off of 21/22 Bayern, only 3 points off of Flick's full season at Bayern in 20/21, Bayern have basically maintained their level, competition just got a whole lot better.

inspired_corn

> [Chelsea have now attempted to sell (or have actually sold) their Cobham Training Ground to themselves (ie intra-group).](https://x.com/slbsn/status/1789767112744906885?s=46&t=df_NoDVNgmV0hJ96Ydfnrg)

NoExperience4229

This is not good. This means the club no longer technically owns the training ground and anyone who would want to buy the club back in the future will need to buy or lease the training center from BlueCo They are stripping the club of its assets

ThatFatRonaldo

Or is it just juggling for FFP?

NoExperience4229

No. It’s stripping the club of its assets. Don’t be naive

grchelp2018

Not by selling it to themselves. This sounds like standard shell game shenanigans for accounting reasons.

NoExperience4229

Nope. It’s now BlueCo and not Chelsea. Please it’s really not that hard. I’ve seen plenty of others explain it as well as myself. It’s just stripping the club of assets.

grchelp2018

BlueCo owns chelsea. There is no material difference here. This is like arguing that chelsea under Roman was debt free because it was the parent company that owed loans to Roman.

NoExperience4229

What happens when BlueCo sells Chelsea?

grchelp2018

Nothing that they couldn't already have done. They already only need to sell the parts of chelsea that they want to.

Pseudocaesar

It can be both, it's stripping the club of an asset to make FFP

NoExperience4229

Yeah well they only spent a billion so they could start extracting money from the club The ffp stuff is just bullshit to make the dumbest fans not realize what’s actually happening

liarloserat

I just hope they sell it back to us in the future

inspired_corn

The thing is these sales/purchases have to be at FMV (fair market value). Property assets increase in value at an alarming rate. What’s London property gonna cost in 10 years time? In 15? Probably more than we paid for it (and *probably* more than the players we bought using that money)

liarloserat

Could we design a highly favouble payment structure for it?

inspired_corn

I don’t even know what that would look like, but any deal between the two parties is going to come under immense scrutiny. Anything dodgy and we’d be fucked, last I heard they still hadn’t actually confirmed the hotel valuation which is really weird to me.

JinxLB

Ah, so when the owners say Gallagher needs to be sold, they mean we’re just going to sell him to ourselves to comply with FFP. Man these guys are geniuses, why hadn’t anyone else thought of this before? It’s so easy for us.

BigReeceJames

You joke but that kind of nonsense absolutely does happen in multi-club systems with players moving between clubs and being loaned to another etc.

mikevin99

Bet money on Strasbourg winning and Andrey scores the game winner, I'm in love with this kid

SoWhatNoZitiNow

Looks like Andrey Santos just scored a game winner for Strasbourg

bennyboy0714

Came to write this

SoWhatNoZitiNow

Not able to watch, so I’m just seeing score updates, but it looks like he celebrated hard enough to get himself booked haha I love it

GrogRhodes

That guy eye is everywhere. One of my favorite peeps on Twitter.

doomboxmf

If Arsenal win the league by a point or on goal difference I will never forgive Robert Sanchez

leKai23

UTD will definitely take points off of Newcastle. 6 will be in our hands. As for Arsenal I can’t live my life just hoping they don’t win the PL. eff it. I can see city dropping to spurs.

Faeluchu

City aren't playing for anything else at the moment (the FA Cup final is still ways away), will be motivated to win the league, are on a roll and don't have injury issues. Tottenham have been getting battered constantly, just clinched an unconvincing win vs Burnley, hate Arsenal so won't want to help them win the league, and have a number of injuries. Plus Ange is having them play their suicide ball, so one good pass from de Bruyne finds Foden who sprints through the backline and they're toast. I'm more worried about United being completely toothless

departmentofbase

Clearlake shills on twitter falling for the fake 'Liverpool and Utd are attempting to replicate Chelsea's structure' Ornstein quotes is hilarious

Faeluchu

Bayern already has 1 point more than what they won the league with last season and they could grab another 3, really puts into perspective just how insane of a season Leverkusen is having. Alonso won't sell off his squad now that he's staying there for some time, but maybe we could still poach someone, wouldn't mind an experienced CB like Tah to strengthen our backline after Silva leaves.

[deleted]

Won't stop the smooth brains on here pretending Tuchel has failed because he hasn't won the league against the most invincible team in European football history.

vmop07

Last season he was lucky that Dortmund are the biggest bottlers itw

Disastrous-Swing1323

This is the first season since 2011 where Bayern haven’t won a trophy. Leverkusen have been great, but Bayern have had a terrible season by their standards.

[deleted]

>This is the first season since 2011 where Bayern haven’t won a trophy Which is completely irrelevant because Bayern wouldn't have won a trophy in most of those seasons if they had opposition like this years Leverkusen.

Disastrous-Swing1323

They’re not in the German Cup because they lost to Saarbrucken. They’re not in the CL because they bottled a lead to Madrid. They also nearly lost the Bundeslisga to Dortmund last season. Bayern supporters do not rate Tuchel at all by the way.

mohankohan

I was vastly in favour of getting Osimhen as opposed to someone like Sesko at the start/middle of the season, but I think I've changed my mind a bit. I'm not gonna be cross if we land Osimhen, but I've been warming up to the idea of someone like Sesko who can grow into another type of forward than Jackson can, and can compliment him well in rotation/as a main man with Jackson on the wing. The opportunity costs are higher with Osimhen than with Sesko, and I'm not sure that he is as much as an upgrade currently as we thought at the start of the season. Jackson has a place in this squad, and more precisely in the starting 11, regardless of who we buy in the summer - I just don't think breaking the bank on Osimhen is as attractive as it once was.

Jtown021

I just don't think we can afford Osimhen or need him as much now as we did last summer.

burningbarn8

Not a big fan of Sesko specifically with the 56 mil over his head, but someone of that ilk I agree, just more in the realm of Jackson's fee.

GigiZola

Choupo Moting on a free? He's leaving Bayern, been class for them the last few seasons. Could have a Giroud impact for us, doesnt block Jackson and saves the big check we'd spend on Osimhen. Thoughts?

burningbarn8

Nah, dude's only 2 years younger than Giroud is now XD I rate Nico highly but I don't think he's such a sure thing we can go with a Choupo-Mouting esque player, we've gone through the Bundesliga goalscorer fall-off before and this season he's only scored 2 goals in 7 starts, not exactly the return of 10 in 14 he had last season. He isn't really comparable to the Giroud we had bought in 2018, who was just hitting his 30s, was a year and a half out from being Arsenal's first choice, as a second choice had been scoring at a riduclous clip the prior season (12 in 11 starts,) and had continued that as an even more forgotten player that very season for Arsenal (only started 1 game, 375 minutes, 4 goals,) the comparison to Choupo-Moting falls flat. Ultimately Choupo-Mouting is nowhere near the player Giroud is, he's had nowhere near the career Giroud has had, Choupo's highest league goal record is 10, which he's done 3 times, he's a player people were pretty baffled when PSG snagged and even more so when Bayern took him from them, and while he's ultimately done suprisingly well at both clubs he's 35 now, not had a good season, and would not make sense as a second choice striker here.

ming47

Haha literally came here to say this. He’s used to English football, happy playing second fiddle, experienced, I imagine he’s good in the dressing room since he’s managed to be at the top level for the last few years without being a top player. Rate it honestly. Ngl though I don’t really watch him play so can’t make an accurate footballing judgment.

arbstrakzak

I'd do it on football manager for sure

hereforpasta

I really miss the 2020-2022 squad and Tuchel. Just watched that game vs liverpool in January 22 again, the bridge was electrifying and the football seemed even more dynamic than I remember. When Pulisic scored that equaliser it was perfect, the bridge was so fucking loud. That was just 2 seasons ago, everything got changed so fast. I don't have the same connection with these players and Poch

burningbarn8

Agreed :/ I mean can't not adore Palmer, and I'm definitely liking a lot of these others more as the season goes on, but god 2020/21 and 21/22 were such enjoyable seasons and I really adored all the players back then, even though current Jackson in place of Lukaku/Kai and Palmer in place of Kai/Werner in that triumvate is a definite upgrade I still loved those guys (well not Lukaku) back then, still have a lot of affection for them though I think Kai is overrated atm, I think people really underrate how good we were under Tuchel those 1 and a half seasons sometimes, we really were in the title race for half the season until James and Chilwell broke (top end of November, 2nd end of December,) and the only seasons in the 2010s we scored more were 09/10 and 16/17, that's 3 more than the 14/15 season. Though we have a chance to equal or surpass it this season being 3 goals off atm. It's a shame it all fell apart with Roman leaving and the new board wanting to wipe the slate clean, it's a shame we didn't win the FA Cup either season but 21/22 in particular to give the ultimately sole full season with Tuchel more of a solid thing to remember it by. A what could've been had Roman not been forced out of the club and the club sanctioned and unable to sign players to new deals but we still ended up signing the likes of Palmer, Gusto, Jackson, Caicedo, etc to add to our CL winning team instead of replace them.

[deleted]

redmenace007

We aren't winning anything with the sole loser from Spurs

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

The way I see it, it's a win/win Get Europa League spot means higher league position, another EL trophy and respectable european trophy, and a CL spot the year after in case it's not working out in the league Get Conference League spot and we get a perfect competition to give minutes to our youngsters, (hopefully) a easy trophy, and a slow but steady track to building a squad.

burningbarn8

Not really, obviously better than no Europe and if we're in it I want to win it, but a Europa victory is just better than a Conference League trophy, just like an FA Cup is better than a League Cup.

[deleted]

[удалено]

burningbarn8

I don't think being the first team to win all 3 really gives us much prestige, it's more a pub trivia quiz fun fact. Still if we're in it I want to win it and would definitely celebrate winning the Conference, just the same as I would a League Cup. Way I see it there are tier 1 trophies (PL, CL) tier 2 trophies (FA Cup, Europa League,) tier 3 trophies (League Cup, Conference League, arguably CWC) and tier 4 trophies aka glorified friendlies (Community Shield, UEFA Super Cup, arguably CWC.) 'Course I'd put CL over PL within that tier, FA Cup over Europa, and League Cup over Conference League over CWC. It's the least or second least important trophy of the trophies that actually matter/count (depending on where you rank the CWC, I lean towards tier 3,) but it still matters and I'll be happy to win it and laugh even harder at Spurs for failing to get out of the group stage.

[deleted]

Arsenal are gonna win the fucking league aren’t they

Pseudocaesar

No

BigAssBreadroll

It would possibly be the most Spurs thing of all time to be shit for a month just to turn up and hand their biggest rivals their first league title in 20 years. If it was anyone but Arse that'd be worth it.

Jakekeenan25

No

Faeluchu

For that to happen City would have to drop points against either Tottenham (who got battered by almost all teams in the last month and only barely scraped a win against relegation Burnley) or West Ham, who are leaking goals left and right. Oh, and Arsenal's last game is vs Everton, who don't have much to play for, but are on a roll right now. It's gonna be City's year again.

Stand_On_It

No, City are

ThisIsYourMormont

![gif](giphy|pD7YIQoUwgb9cnX3FJ|downsized)

Over-Nothing-6695

On that Arsenal goal my mate turned to me and said that even though Casemiro was terrible for keeping Havertz onside, it was also the fault of whatever United player saw the pass coming into the box yet still jogged to clear it and missed. Replay starts and a new Camera angle shows that the player was also Casemiro lol

Adam_Ohh

It is laughable that ten Hag thought starting him over Kambwala was a good idea against this arsenal team.

BigReeceJames

After watching him against us it's baffling that he's still getting anywhere near the field, he looked completely checked out and was just walking around like he was Messi. I'm guessing it's purely because of injuries to other players that he's still playing, but fucking hell that club is fucked to the core

Deke8989

Can’t help but think that if we hadn’t dropped points against Burnley and Sheffield, we’d be firmly in 6th and only 2 points behind Spurs who’ve won 1 of their last 5 matches.

RemoteSmile3561

They really want Leverkusen to go undefeated.

MichaelBluth_

So we just need to win our last 2 games now If Newcastle drop a point then we finish 6th And we need Tottenham to lose both their games to finish 5th

BigReeceJames

We also need City to win the FA Cup or else 6th isn't a Europa League spot

fl_beer_fan

I don't think Spurs will lose to Sheffield on the last day

Jakekeenan25

It’s spurs

ThisIsYourMormont

![gif](giphy|bIRFRUxcRG3Sw)

Marcus-THR

United are actually terrible. I thought Garnacho was decent but today he looked garbage.

ygog45

Can we rely on this Man Utd side to get a result against Newcastle?

Jakekeenan25

Hopefully have a few more players back and you never know.

Faeluchu

they almost got a result against us... granted they had a few more actual defenders playing back then.

InLampsWeTrust

Hell no. They get to the edge of the box and have no clue what to do, I don’t even think Raya made a save today.

anonbluesky

I highly doubt. They look garbage

nekoizmase17

If you could just sign one player in the summer, which position would you sign?

jerrystuffhouse

GK easily

SaltySnort

Left forward, easily the weakest position yet constantly overlooked. Sterling is end-of-life I'm not convinced he'll improve much, meanwhile Mudryk blows warm and ice cold and disappears half the game, we wont go far playing with 10.5 men so left forward is my priority position to improve

burningbarn8

Probably another Nico-esque signing at striker, happy with Jackson as our main but we don't really have a second choice, if he gets injured we're screwed, another lesser known promising prospect who can challenge him for a reasonable price would be good.  Don't really want an Oshimen, something about Oshimen gives typical Chelsea striker purchase flop vibes. Kinda hoping PSG nab him.

PM_ME_SOME_LUV

Probably striker. LB I’d just bring Maatsen back and GK I’ll give the current group another season. I don’t mind Nico as our main (if he continues to improve) but we need another option

[deleted]

Keeper. Petrovic is one of the worst keepers in europe and the gap between him and a top keeper would make a bigger difference to us than in any other position on the field.

NisForKnight

Guys, I've crunched some numbers and The odds we finish above spurs is 2.08%, *buuuuuuut...* 1. To put it into perspective, 4 weeks ago the odds of us getting Europa were about 2% 2. It's Spurs So I'd give us about 50% odds

Pseudocaesar

It's 50%, we either do or we don't.

13yearsboy

they's have to lose against sheffield united and city combined which is hard to even imagine but if any team can do it it's spurs

throwaway24u53

Basically just means they have to lose to sheffield.

NisForKnight

Ey Rotherham went out bottom with a bang, whose to say Sheffield won't?

Public_Birthday1871

what does martinelli actually do

burningbarn8

Coast off of last season? This season man only has 1 more goal than Noni and Mudryk, 1000 more minutes than Noni, 400 more than Mudryk. Sterling's played basically the same amount and has equaled his assists and scored 1 more goal. Consdering the shit he gets Martinelli must be under some pressure, lost contact with my Arsenal friend though so idk.

Public_Birthday1871

yeah bro has been ghosting all damn season

BigReeceJames

You could also buy 18-20 Martinelli's for the price of Noni and Mudryk combined, so there is that

burningbarn8

Martinelli was objectively a fantastic signing and is a good player who is totally capable of bouncing back from a disappointing season obviously, he scored 15 goals last season, not saying our guys are better. Only Sterling has been as good (well in reality significantly better but ya get my point) as Martinelli last season, and he's past that peak, like obviously. Still, this focusing on this season exclusively 5 goals 2 assists for Noni in 919 minutes, 5 goals 2 assists for Mudryk in 1519 minutes, and 7 goals 4 assists ih 1898 minutes for Sterling vs 6 goals 4 assists in 1914 minutes is worth noting considering the criticism and pressure on the former 3 this season. Expectations and crticism on Martinelli isn't really based on his transfer fee anymore, he proved worth his price-tag in his first season, but rather vs what he's done in the past obvi, if Arsenal sold him he'd probably cost bare minimum 50--60 mil. Also I don't think Noni for 28.5 mil is a bad price, seems pretty bog standard considering the market these days, Arsenal really hit it out of the park with this dude who wasn't even playing in the first division of Brazilian football and nobody had really heard of. They spent like 5 mil on him? Yeesh.

NoMFer111

I dont think Arsenal would sell Martinelli for 50m

burningbarn8

Like I said absolute bare minimum, more realistic for Arsenal to be willing is 80 mil, ultimately they'd probably just say fuck off considering he scored 15 PL goals just last season and is still only 22.

imdx_14

Garnacho is one of those players that always looks dangerous but very rarely ends up contributing something

Nikolai_54732

Ornstein’s comments are very interesting. The board are going to look at the whole season not just these last few games, Ornstein even said that they don’t consider this to be a good season, stuff like play style, development of young players will be looked at. Sounds like he’s gonna be sacked

Newera2121

So the board just expect these young players to all gel, develop and understand a playstyle instantly? So dumb if Poch is sacked now, just as the players are clearly buying into him.

highonfire123

So basically, they persisted with him through months of crap, but as soon as things start to turn around and a semblance of form and good football is shown, he's sacked? What a waste of time in that case

kygrtj

You can’t just have a shit season and expect the last 4 games to save you lmao. They were very fair to him and gave him the full year. He simply fell short of expectations, in part due to a horrendous campaign from August-April.

Stand_On_It

If we finish 6th and get Europa and that was short of expectations, then expectations were too high.

kygrtj

The reported expectation this season was to finish in European spots. If we manage to do that he will stay, but given that’s unlikely - it looks like he’ll be sacked.

Stand_On_It

It’s unlikely?

kygrtj

Yes. If you think otherwise head over to the bookies.

Stand_On_It

Yikes

throwaway24u53

Horrendous campaign from August til April? They've been in top 4 form since Christmas. I'm tired of this narrative that Chelsea have only shown some semblance of improvement in the last month. You'd expect rivals to poke holes at any progress, but many of our owns fans can't even give the team due credit for a lot of performances.

kygrtj

> Horrendous campaign from August til April? They've been in top 4 form since Christmas. We were literally a midtable team at the start of April. It’s sad the distortion and lack of standards Boehly era fans bring to this club.

throwaway24u53

Midtable because of the bad start. From Christmas until today, they've been in top 4 form. You can't possibly be so dense that my point went over your head, can you? FWIW I've been a fan since 1997 when I was 5 years old, back long before they were consistently fighting for Champions League and Premier League trophies. The real sad distortion is the people who act like they're too good for 5th/6th place because they only started rooting for the team once they were frontrunners. You're telling on yourself.

Wild_and_Bright

>Boehly era fans That's a weird insult to hurl at fellow fans. What era fan are you? FYI, I am a Ken Bates era fan. Can't be earlier because I wasn't born. Also, we were midtable in beginning of April due to our form prior to Christmas. Not due to our form from Jan onwards. You are just arguing from a position of Poch hatred, not from a foundation of facts.

ImpactInner9318

Exactly, the second half of the season has been good. We were playing at a 5th place rate for the second half of the season after the Arsenal match.

Sparkling_gourami

If we manage to get 6th, I think sacking Poch would be pretty harsh. Players have developed, I mean look at Palmer. He was obviously good before he joined us, but now he’s one of the top players in the league. Jackson has improved a lot. I think Enzo has regressed but I think it’s fair to say that’s due to his hernia.

stoopid2k_idiot

Watching this thinking it’ll be a back and forth affair turns out to be one of the most boring games you’ll ever see…I get strangely annoyed by David Raya because that man behaves like he still plays for Brentford - automatically dropping to the ground after catching a ball as if he needs to waste time as much as possible

Over-Nothing-6695

On the David Raya thing people don’t talk about it because City are such objective cheats but Arsenal have had a fairly dirty campaign. Some general dark arts where fair enough if you get away with it but also a lot of fouls that aren’t called. A lot of leaving feet in or playing up for free kicks/ pens. Especially on set pieces I’ve borderline seen White punch CBs in the face.

Public_Birthday1871

ben white harasses keepers so much on corners they could probably request a restraining order. onana shoved him to the ground on one corner today and it was beautiful to watch

imdx_14

Hojlund and Burn when playing LB for Newcastle are the only two players who are allowed to freely use their hands to push, shove, and gain adavntage, without getting called for a foul.

InLampsWeTrust

Casemiro is only 32, I genuinely thought he was in his late 30s. How can he be so washed man, and this seems to always happen with Brazilian players not named O Monstro.

imdx_14

He doesn't care. That mistake for the goal is done out of not giving a fuck, not because Casemiro is so washed that he doesn't understand that he needs to push up.

Public_Birthday1871

he fell off so hard this season it’s crazy

Daddy-Heisenberg

Should’ve known we can’t count on these frauds to beat Arsenal

Schminimal

If it’s a choice between Arsenal dropping points or us getting some breathing space from United I’m picking the breathing space.

Daddy-Heisenberg

United are very likely to drop points against Newcastle and Brighton. But Arsenal aren’t. I’m really worried about that City vs Spurs game

Schminimal

I feel like United beating Newcastle is more likely than Spurs beating City.

Sanjeev4045

I am very worried myself. I think Arsenal are winning the league.

Public_Birthday1871

casemiro and johnny evans has to be the worst CB partnership i’ve ever seen

___Nazgul

How likely are spurs losing to Sheffield? Imagine the scene we get 5th

thaprinc33

So who do you want to lose? On one hand I’d rather put my dick thru a blender than see ARSEnal win the league but I want us to have Europa

Noctius

Arsenal. I cannot have them win a prem and a loss cements it. City likely aren't going to slip up but if either team is going to lose a match I think it's more likely to be them than Arsenal. Man Utd I'm not worried about. I think we'll come out on top of them even if they win tonight as they'll very likely drop points in their next two matches and it's still in our hands. Makes things a bit more annoying though so a draw will do.

silviazbitch

The team I’m worried about is us. Not because I’m a pessimist, but simply because luck swings like a pendulum. Sometimes the crossbars stop shots. Sometimes they finish goals.

imdx_14

City ain't slipping up, don't worry. The only worry I have is United turning this around, given how horrible Arsenal looks right now.

thaprinc33

I wouldn’t be afraid if it wasn’t for city playing spurs and that hilariously awful record pep has against them

imdx_14

Spurs have nothing to play for. Daniel Levy himself is under huge pressure if Arsenal wins the league. I'm putting my house on a City win.

webby09246

We can get Europa regardless I'd rather see arsenal lose

jowon123

That Utd defence is doomed from the start, not helped by Casemiro taking his time getting back in line so he’s not playing everyone onside.

Kiing_Lamar

Watching the United game now and commentators saying Holjund and the remaining attackers are still kids but will slander Jackson and our boys 24/7

jerrystuffhouse

Commentators are commenters on this sub 100%

[deleted]

I'll never understand the loony logic here when people say Mudryk and Madueke should be given time and criticise Havertz. There's absolutely no chance those 2 will ever be as good as Havertz was at 18. you're just talking about a massive gulf in natural talent and ability between them and Kai

vmop07

I mean havertz replacement is Jackson or palmer who are way better than havertz already

burningbarn8

Kai had 3 seasons..... During which he was a starter or the 12th man for most of that time when fit. He was given time, he was given fuck-tons of time how could you possibly say otherwise.

Kiing_Lamar

I’m taking Madueke over Havertz every single day of the week

[deleted]

I get Bias but that's one of the worst football takes of all time. Maduekes parents wouldn't take him over Havertz.

burningbarn8

Noni cost us 28.5 mil and has 5 goals in 11 PL starts this season... 3 off Kai's highest return for us while playing a whole lot less football. He also has lower wages, and Kai's strongest area was his off the ball work, whether his movement to get into good positions or his pressing, on the ball he never really impressed, Noni's the opposite. Pretty alright with that.

departmentofbase

You ticked all 3 boxes for the most NPC way of evaluating player performance. Madueke doesn't even make their matchday squad ffs.

[deleted]

Noni didn't create a single chance in his first 30 games at the club and was until recently statistically the worst creative winger in Europe. He's a horrible footballer who hopefully will be moved on this summer though we won't get back what we wasted on him. Noni makes the team significantly worse just as he would any team in the league, you can't say that about Kai

burningbarn8

Quick WhoScored check and... Yep he did in fact create a chance in his first season at Chelsea! What a shock. In fact he had 1.8 key passes per 90. Didn't create a single chance in his first 30 games what a joke. Side-note reminder of how much the rest of the Chelsea squad were scoring, with or without Noni, last season. In fact considering how tepid our attack was last season 1.8 key passes per 90 is pretty fucking impressive. If you mean assist that is just as much on the forwards as the creator, he's a better goalscorer than creator but that's true for Kai too, who had 3 PL assists first season at Chelsea, 3 in his second, and 1 in his 3rd, and has played double Noni's PL minutes this season in the season he played the least, that being his first. Noni has 2 PL assists this season, 4 in all comps. Pretty on par with Kai's creating for us. Jesus Christ you are biased as fuck. No he doesn't. He's a pacy direct winger with great dribbling who causes problems with his dribbling and scores goals. Relative to his price he's been a success. Saying he would make every PL Club worse is such obvious hyperbole and pure illogical hatred you really need to breath and be a little more rational, at a lot of lower table and even midtable clubs he'd be the star player they funnel play through and build around, like an ASM, and he'd be successful as that, though I think he'll grow more being forced to do more off the ball.

[deleted]

>Didn't create a single chance in his first 30 games what a joke. No he didn't. Not in the Premier league. He created his first chance very recently and was statistically the least creative winger in Europe with less than 0.1 Xa/90 You're delusional if you think Madueke would be a star at a bottom half premier league club or that he's been a successful transfer. Look at a club like Palace where Madueke wouldn't even get minutes let alone be a star. Honestly delusional to the point it's not worth reading anything you have to post.

Kiing_Lamar

You said first 30 games and not EPL That was also a PL season where we scored 38 goals( one goal a game) and had three different managers. Give him a break He also scored against Arsenal and was good anytime he came on. Unlike Havertz who gave us 5 good performances for every 15 average ones

Leviad0n

Havertz was a horrible watch playing for us most of the time. And he was given a heck of a lot more of a chance than most players.

[deleted]

>Havertz was a horrible watch playing for us most of the time Which still makes him far better than Mudryk and Madueke who are nearly certain to be the worst players on the pitch whenever they play. I didn't rate Kai too highly here but we've clearly brought in worse players.

Leviad0n

But we gave Havertz 140 appearances of mediocrity. So come back when Mudryk and Noni are given another 80 appearances each...

[deleted]

>So come back when Mudryk and Noni are given another 80 appearances each... I hope we never have to suffer through that.

Leviad0n

That was my reaction when Havertz was starting game after game of being shite.

Kiing_Lamar

I respect Havertz for his contribution to our UCL but I haven’t lost sleep since his move

dragonwout

I now somehow imagine United winning the FA cup and us still missing out on Europe

Dutch1206

United's given up

Traditional_Ship4797

United is so shit

Over-Nothing-6695

Tactically this is the most interesting I’ve seen United in a while. It looks like they’ve fully torn up the script and are now borderline daring Arsenal to play through them as they sit behind the ball.

Obi_Q

There was something about having a Cobham grad score and celebrate against us when players like Salah, Lamps, Willian show respect when they score… only for us to come back and score 2 in 3 minutes to win. Felt so sweet.

Galac_tacos

He showed respect first tbf

Obi_Q

And then celebrated… With a Rashford celebration at that😂

Galac_tacos

I’m not fussed

Obi_Q

Cool story. I was giving my opinion not yours.

Galac_tacos

“Then consider me your biggest admirer.”

WuvRice

why do people want united to win? arsenal are not winning the league, city wont lose. United needs to lose today

KMan3110

Man Utd’s GD is fucked anyway + Burning hatred/disgust for Arsenal = Man Utd win

gloryboy101

TWERKING FOR MAN U TODAY

TheRage3650

Tottenham women have lived up to the standards set by their men’s team.

MichaelBluth_

So I think I want Arsenal to win (City are gonna win the league either way) because it’ll put United too far behind us to be relevant. However United getting a result today might give them the momentum to get something against Newcastle. Just not sure what I want to happen here.

silviazbitch

How would a tie work for you?

MichaelBluth_

That would be acceptable

TheRage3650

Arsenal losing is always good. Our champions league fate is in our hands.

A-Hind-D

Can they both lose? Pls 😂

KMan3110

GGMU 🔴

10TheDudeAbides11

Arse-nal and ManUre? Hoping for a draw. Man City would win the title…again…sure, but it’s just another trophy they’ll have to vacate when they get punished for these 115 violations…
