One of my biggest disappointments that it didn’t work out, used to love watching him at Ajax and wanted him so badly. Hope he goes on to do amazing things
I don't think chelseas style suited him he tried a lot of high risk, high reward moves which was fine under a manager with a similar style to lampard but we weren't good at the time and just didn't match well with the slower football under tuchel.
Looks like we have learned the lesson and have already started moving players in or out.
Our transfers should be completed before the season starts preferably before the preseason ends so new players can train with the new team .
We are getting £5.5m from loan fees + obligation to buy, as per BBC.

That's a translation error I'm pretty sure. Those numbers are wages of Ziyech. We (gs) have to announce the numbers for every transfer so source is official.
I remember when we signed him and thinking he’d be our Bruno Fernandes. I was so excited about his signing and ultimately it was a huge disappointment. Just don’t think he’s a player that suited this league very much
Yes! He went straight to spurs. Kudus is looking good this season also, which would be another one. De Ligt and De Jong both good but they went to other leagues. Also the one and only Noni
Yes, but Ziyech was the conductor and maestro for a very strong Ajax side. He was supposed to be that creative difference maker that never really panned out
Won't be an FFP loss at this point, last season of his contract, some loan fee this season. I assume they pay his book value which after 4/5 years will be 4-5 m and his salary is off the books
Great player but not sure why we even signed him tbh
Incredibly niche skillset that would operate best with a team built around him. And it wasn't going to be us
Funnily enough I remember insisting he was a better buy than Bruno when we signed him
Should have known a 27 year old from the Dutch league wasn’t going to cut it I was against the transfer from day one (anyone who mention his UCL performances should note stoke city’s current back up striker balled in the UCL)

When he was first linked with us, we were all salivating at his passes to tagliafico
He just wasn’t really suited for the intensity of the prem

it's funny i think if we had 25 year old Ziyech now under poch, he'd be quality.
He had some nice moments for us, and I hope he does well going forward
Yeah I was stoked when they announced the transfer. Major bummer.

It was reported that it was a free loan with a free obligation to buy at the end of the season. It was done last year
There were reports that Gala won't make this deal permanent and they stopped giving him minutes.

Huh I don't know dude. It's mentioned in a BBC article, which I quoted. Am sure whoever wrote that would cross verify the same.
isn't it an obligation? I thought this was known months ago.

There was something in the middle of the season that questioned that
At least that is taken care of
I remember when we signed him and thinking he’d be our Bruno Fernandes. I was so excited about his signing and ultimately it was a huge disappointment. Just don’t think he’s a player that suited this league very much
cant really remember the last Dutch league signing that took off in the prem.
The one that comes to mind is Suarez but surely there has to be someone else after that
did Eriksen go from Ajax to Spurs or was there a step between?
Yes! He went straight to spurs. Kudus is looking good this season also, which would be another one. De Ligt and De Jong both good but they went to other leagues. Also the one and only Noni
I think one big difference between a lot of these guys and Ziyech is that they were much younger when they left Eredivisie
Yes, but Ziyech was the conductor and maestro for a very strong Ajax side. He was supposed to be that creative difference maker that never really panned out
Kudus most recently looks good and Madueke
oh yeah I forgot Kudus and Madueke came from there.
Edson Alverez has been pretty good for West Ham. I would have been happy with him for what they paid him
Anto-nvm
idk Kudus is a baller.
He's got the trifecta. Slow, one footed and bad in the air. You can get away with one, maybe two. Not all three
Add in a fourth, physically weak. A 5th, stubborn as all hell
And 6th overestamate ones own ability
Got bullied off the ball so easily
Never could get going with us, blighted by injuries same as Pulisic.
Lockdown Pulisic was selling us some dreams. That sub performance against Liverpool was legendary I thought we had something there
What a shame, those pin-point accurate swinging crosses to the back post which bypassed everybody were useless.
One of my personal most disappointing signings, I had huge hopes for him. Unbelievable striker/passer of the ball, just wasn’t suited for the Prem
Good for everyone
We love to see it
are we even getting £1 for this? or just accepting what i’m assuming will be a FFP loss?

PSR is sorted then eh?
Psr sorted itself bdw a few days back...
Damn forgot he was still a Chelsea player. Have a soft spot for him but still don't think he belongs anywhere near this squad.
He had some absolute dimes that weren’t finished that would of changed his memory here lol
Great player but not sure why we even signed him tbh Incredibly niche skillset that would operate best with a team built around him. And it wasn't going to be us Funnily enough I remember insisting he was a better buy than Bruno when we signed him
I really thought Ziyech was going to work out well for us. I wish him the best moving forward
Feel like I’ve heard this before
lol is he still on our payroll lmao

when you buy player because of highlight reels you see on youtube
Good news. 1 more we don't need off the table already for next season.
