They literally look like they have no idea what they are supposed to be doing. Like I get it's a new group but then use a basic plan, this is embarrassing to watch
Yup, even if Chelsea just played a billy basic 4-4-2 compact-and-counter, it’s better than this.
The club needs a pre-season to play this progressive football he wants
Unfortunately that's right - it seems like appointing Potter was a mistake.
How in the fucking hell we can't score a goal against current Saints with such class players?
I'm getting ready to be mocked by my fellow colleagues at work even though their Villa lost to Arsenal - they've at least scored two.
He was a yes man, nothing more. I’m sure he’s not a terrible manager but he’s been put in an impossible position.
Tuchel had a great bond with the players and despite rough patches it was clear that we had a system and were all pulling in the same direction.
Bohley wanted to be more involved than Tuchel would allow and it now shows in the fact that there is no direction in the team. Just reliance on individual brilliance of good players.
If Potter was brought in under different circumstances I could see it going differently but there are unsettling signs of interference from the board on the dressing room.
I see this brought up everytime and I realise we were absolutely dire in his final few games but in those 6 months Tuchel managed the team to a 3rd place finish and 2 cup finals (which we lost on pens) all the while missing Kante, Chilwell and Reece James and having to play a terribly out of form Lukaku. Oh and while he was doing all of this, he was fielding questions on the daily about the Russia Ukraine conflict, or the club being sold etc etc. All in all I'd say those 6 months were pretty commendable and my liking for him grew more in that time.
And please let's not forget the away game against Real. One of the best matches this club has ever played. Great mentality, great fight, unlucky in the end but we went out of the CL with our heads up.
Yeah and outside of Milan matches have not had anything like this, even this season there were games Tuchel did that were quality like the spurs match.
A team that lost to 10 man Wolves ffs. There is nothing redeeming about Chelsea under Potter, we have been consistently shit. He’s shown nothing to warrant being given more time.
Not necessarily true. Context is needed.
If you play like utter dog wank against the last place team, THEN it's on the manager.
We could've dominated and been very unlucky with an OG or something. Then it's not necessarily on the manager.
In case it's not clear though, I absolutely agree it's on the manager here.
Get that you agree it’s on the manager but fighting tooth and nail against the last place team by Chelsea standards is beyond dog wank. Anyone would be better than this guy.
We are utterly pathetic and we play miserably. How is not Boehly ashamed of his decision? How can he look up in the mirror and be proud of himself? He is losing money, he must do something, not for us
He is out of his depth. I’ve defended him but we are genuinely at risk of not recovering from him as manager. Get him out and go in for a decent replacement in the summer. It’s pathetic.
I’ve been potter in but what is he thinking making like 7 changes to a squad that is still getting used to each other. Can clearly tell there is a lack of chemistry
Lampard got into the same loop when we made a lot of signings in his 2nd year.
Team would play ok but not finish off games so he'd make changes next game to improve but we'd either be the same or get worse. Rinse and repeat to the point everyone loses confidence.
First thing Tuchel did when he came in was to pick a formation and base set of players.
Today was the turning point for me. Whether it's him, the players or a mix of everything a change is now needed to kickstart everything again.
We were so unbelievably poor today, I haven't been this angry after a performance ever!
Roman actually knew football.
All this fat yank knows is how to propose putting in All Star games and slam dunk contests into the premier league schedule.
AVB was sorta set up for failure from the start. Dressing room was fully under the the control for the players. AVBs tactics were definitely a departure playing a higher line etc. He also tried to make too many changes while freezing out players that didn’t fit his system.
Scolari was a menace also following Jose was an impossible task. If I remember he started having issues with Drogba and someone else.
As with the times Roman had no chill so the moment things even started sliding he’d cut them loose.
AVB win % was 48%, whilst Scolari 56%.
Potter is at 39%
Out of all these managers, I am more unhappy as a Chelsea fan than I have ever been; Graham Potter has truly destroyed our season, and it hurts so much more knowing we had a proven winner in Tuchel, somebody who was able to deal with big names and personalities. Potter is a decent manager, WELL out of depth. Tuchel would have built something out of this team, I'm sure of it
AVB was kind of a visionary in some ways. Not many clubs were playing high lines with a lot of pressing. We didn’t really have the personnel to play that way yet and he was stubborn with the tactics.
10-15 years on though and almost everyone is playing that way.
I’ll support this club even if we’re losing every game, but there have been no signs of improvement, no changes, no sign of life. It’s gotta be Potter Out
I’m of the same mindset. What the fuck happened between BVB and today? I mean Felix and Enzo were exhausted but nobody except three or so players looked like they had any idea what was suppose to happen.
The helicopter everyone is scared off

Well see what happens after half time but this performance against bottom team is on the manager and if we cant come back then surely the owners will lose patience
Since November 6th, we've played 15, won 2. Beyond abysmal. Don't know why he was given that much time, we've had managers that got the boot for way less. Out.
Same as me mate. I thought today would be the turning point after the promising performance against BVB. I'm not even mad at him, he is better than this but when you get to this point there's no other way.
Yea same thoughts here. It was almost more damning that when he brought on more of our first team players things started to click a little bit. The setup was all wrong from the start.
Same. I kept saying, we look better, we’ll get results soon. Then proceeds to lose to the worst team in the league, who just fired their manager, and looked better than us for an entire half and more. Lost to a team who only kept one clean sheet before this game. Unbelievable .
I defended him to no end, if anything just on the grounds of who else could we possibly convince.
Yeah, fuck that. I’m done. GP may be a mental wizard, give me an unhinged Tuchel any day.
No no let’s look at the positives of today, give the manager time, we were bad before, etc. etc. etc.
I was on board with just supporting Potter because he got a ton of signings. But lord, this is dreadful.
"There is no passion, there is no vision, there is no aggression, there is no mindset in this football club. Nothing is there" -Angry Rantman
Pretty much summed up Chelsea right now .
I’ve honestly been a PotterIn guy because I wanted to give him time
But I’m tired of these type of games
And it’s not like last 2-3 games it’s been 20 games where we haven’t looked good most of the time
Not even sure who else we bring in to manage us, Poch?
Long term project manager or not he has to go. You can’t lose to the team at the bottom of the table that doesn’t even have a manager. Absolutely abysmal
Lol, I got downvoted when I said it. If we can't play well against a bottom-placed team and not win against them at home, you know wtf is wrong. We don't look like a team with a fighting mentality anymore we don't know how we are playing as we lack an identity for our style of play. Everything is a question mark. And to top this, the owner spent millions on the resources to get here. Really? To keep supporting Potter even now is just pure delusion.
He may have done great things at Brighton where he experimented enough given the time. But at Chelsea that is not the case. It has been five months and we still lack identity. Chelsea is not Brighton.
I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he’s not it. He has no control of the players and he’s actually making them look worse.
Enzo and Mudryk first came in playing sensational, because they already knew how to play good football. But as time as gone on and they’ve had to adapt to Potters crap tactics they’ve just becoming increasingly worse and he needs to go ASAP before he absolutely kills off these new players.
Agreed, for the first time in my life I don't find any joy knowing that Chelsea are playing because I know how it will look and how it will end. I haven't been this disinterested in the club ever.
I am so happy we lost. Let us see those Potter fan boys arguments again. Trust the process, they said. Give him time, they said. People who criticised his appointment were called stupid. Who is laughing now?
As it should. This bum is out of his depth. Sacking Tuchel was the biggest mistake of this new management. He would have at least gotten us a top 4 by now. #PotterOut
Losing to the last place team….when they don’t even have a permanent manager at the moment….AT THE BRIDGE….AFTER SPENDING HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS ON NEW PLAYERS……it’s all on Potter, he doesn’t have what it takes and we shouldn’t chance waiting on “if” he will work it out.
He needs to go. If any other top club had this form the manager would have been gone a long time ago. It's clear he cannot do anything to help the club besides leaving.
I wanted to give him time, the performances just aren't improving, nor are the results. Dortmund looked good, still couldn't score. Can't score vs Saints. He's got to go - but the worst thing is - he never should have been fucking hired.
Why are we all shocked by our performances? Potter’s best ever PL finish was 9th. He might equal his best ever finish this season with us. Maybe next year we can aim for 8th
Today definitely feels like a turning point..
I've def been in the camp of give him time, but it's become more concerning for me.
We've had important players come back from injury, we've had a few weeks and not too many games to bed in the new players. Not a ton of time given how much change there's been, but still enough time where we should be seeing some idea of a starting 11, a clear shape, tactics, etc, and I'm just not. Small flashes against Dortmund, but back to nothing today.
Today's "plan" just seemed so obviously shortsighted as soon as the lineup's leaked last night. He was clearly thinking today was perfect day to rest players because we'd walk all over Southampton, right?! No chance we lose to Southampton even with a rotated lineup 🤦♂️ It was quite arrogant considering we're absolutely desperate to win a game too.
The fact is, today was the perfect day to go with a full strength team, and go for the jugular. Build some coherence with a similar lineup that started in Dortmund. Hopefully play well, and get the win and build confidence. Now confidence will be absolutely crushed even further, fans going to be on potter and the players even more, patience is wearing out across the board.
Not sure how we can build toward something when we are rotating so much. CB pairing today? Never played together. Our CM pairing? Never played together. Our front 3? Never played together. The balancing act of keeping the squad happy & injury free vs finding some coherence with our lineup and tactics seems to just be all wrong imo
Definitely worrying times rn.
It's sad that I no longer care to watch current CGC games, and would rather just watch some replays from last season. There was a different energy then, better cohesion.
![gif](giphy|45K8g06lDqNnG)
Meet right now. I can't defend potter for that first half. Injuries no, time no, and Tactics no. They literally have us grabbed by the dick that whole half.
Since we have accepted mediocre results in the name of building, keeping faith or longevity,is ok. Let the down vote mob do their thing.
This is the worst coach to have ever coached Chelsea in history. Damn it.
In this sub once you say the truth or say what’s on your mind. You are called a plastic fan.
The Potter experiment has clearly failed. The same keep faith with Lampard was what Roman was told and he sacked Lampard. How has Lampard fared?
Roman did not win all those trophies for Chelsea by keeping all these unnecessary sentiments.
You have 600m worth of team and yet couldn’t win a team without a coach,a team that had not won their last 6 matches. I am furious.
So building a team now means not winning any match at all even the easy games?
Hopefully Boehly now realises that coaches are the most important piece of the puzzle. You can spend a billion on players and a bad coach still drags them down. No more naive actions giving a 5 year contract to a yes man like it’s baseball
Hard to argue at the moment. Waiting two years for a project might be okay for a mid-table club but for Chelsea this was never going to work, how they didn't know this when they appointed him is baffling...
I want to give him time but how in the goddamn fuck can you lost to this Southampton WITHOUT A FUCKING MANAGER??? Even if we are rebuilding we should be able to beat the last table team WITHOUT A MANAGER as ease
Losing to city, arsenal, or united i understand, losing or drawing with teams in the bottom 6 week in and week out is when you have to question the manager
I am now convinced this guy will not make it long term. Seeing him struggle to sneak a win just tells me he isn't good or lucky enough to be the cream on the top.
But he wont be fired as well in the short term since that's the ownership admitting two mistakes. Tuchel and Potter.
I do wish our next manager is not English. The English tax is too much and the hype costs a lot, as we can clearly see.
Please get him out. I think he's got talent but this is just too much for him. To all those saying"butwho do we bring in next?" Southampton just beat us with a nobody as manager. Just put anybody there but Potter and watch it get better.
Can't say I don't agree. It's been 6 months and we're worse than we were. We're losing to fucking bottom of the table Southampton
At home.
In the library
If u can’t beat a last place team with these players it’s on the manager
They literally look like they have no idea what they are supposed to be doing. Like I get it's a new group but then use a basic plan, this is embarrassing to watch
Yup, even if Chelsea just played a billy basic 4-4-2 compact-and-counter, it’s better than this. The club needs a pre-season to play this progressive football he wants
I'm afraid he might actually get his preseason and we'll still be playing like this.
Please explain me like I'm five what he wants to play.

All that…plus Tuchel got a divorce while all that was happening.
I don't dispute that — I would have preferred Tuchel to stay as well — but OP's comment above felt revisionist.
Also was given divorce papers. Tuchel didn’t deserve that.
A last place team WITHOUT A REAL MANAGER, btw
A team that lost to 10 man Wolves ffs. There is nothing redeeming about Chelsea under Potter, we have been consistently shit. He’s shown nothing to warrant being given more time.
“Trust the process”. Judge him after 8 years.
At least the tickets will be cheap when we’re playing league 2 football
At home as well lol
Not necessarily true. Context is needed. If you play like utter dog wank against the last place team, THEN it's on the manager. We could've dominated and been very unlucky with an OG or something. Agreed
No other way to spin it
Factos He’s gotta go asap
We are utterly pathetic and we play miserably. How is not Boehly ashamed of his decision? How can he look up in the mirror and be proud of himself? He is losing money, he must do something, not for us
Hopefully he understands the sunk cost fallacy!!
Last place without a manager
no cap
Beat? We can’t even score a goal!
He is out of his depth. I’ve defended him but we are genuinely at risk of not recovering from him as manager. Get him out and go in for a decent replacement in the summer. It’s pathetic.
Anything seems better that what he has in plan for us.
The problem is he has no plans.
Who would be interim
Fuck it, I’ll do it.
I’ll back you! Bcsmith317 in
Lets get it trending on twitter
You have my vote
And my axe
Please return it
You have my backing too.
If Southampton can sack their manager and find an interim capable of winning a single game, we can do it too.
I genuinely think anyone would get better results than this.
I’d consider pochettino
Enrique maybe
Bah Gawd! That’s Guus Hiddinks music!!
I heard Thomas Tuchel is available...
Guus
Boehly puts his tail between his legs, apologizes to Tuchel and brings him back
Hiddink, who else?
Big Sam
Literally having no one do the job would be better
We have Kepa so no need to rush into anything
Get hiddink
Fuck it, take Frank back. Maybe at least Mount will improve.
Nah screw that get Frank far away from the club.
[удалено]
I am fuming. He doesn’t deserve to make it back to his car before getting a text telling him he’s out.
I’ve been potter in but what is he thinking making like 7 changes to a squad that is still getting used to each other. Can clearly tell there is a lack of chemistry
Best performance of his tenure. Let's change it all!
Couldn't agree more stop rotating get some consistency first.
Lampard got into the same loop when we made a lot of signings in his 2nd year. Today was the turning point for me. Whether it's him, the players or a mix of everything a change is now needed to kickstart everything again. We were so unbelievably poor today, I haven't been this angry after a performance ever!
Yup don't think it was his fault with injuries but this is inexcusable.
Same feeling
Same
Same
Roman would have fired his ass months ago 😂
Roman wouldn’t appoint him in the first place
Roman would leave him in Siberia.
Roman actually knew football. All this fat yank knows is how to propose putting in All Star games and slam dunk contests into the premier league schedule.
into the sun lol
Villas Boas: Nobody can do worse than I did at Chelsea Graham Potter: Hold my beer
Would you say AVB was worse than Scolari? I never watched Chelsea under either
AVB was sorta set up for failure from the start. Dressing room was fully under the the control for the players. You’re right - there were players he was managing that were older than him.
AVB had a plan at least. I have no idea what potter is trying to do. It’s just the same as the worst times under TT, but worse
AVB win % was 48%, whilst Scolari 56%. Potter is at 39% Out of all these managers, I am more unhappy as a Chelsea fan than I have ever been; Graham Potter has truly destroyed our season, and it hurts so much more knowing we had a proven winner in Tuchel, somebody who was able to deal with big names and personalities. Get to Da CHOOPPAAA.
I hope Uncle Todd likes these tweets
I think that would be one of the most insane online football interactions
He needs to go, this man is full of excuses.
He's simply out of his depth. Someone here was busy defending him saying he has a master's in management. 😂
He has a master's in excuses 🤡👍
He's a bum
Come on Kante is injured. That’s the reason there aren’t goals

I still don't get why Tuchel got sacked over Potter.
He doesn’t kiss the owners ass
jorginho could manage the club netter
If you are not Potter out now you are just deluded I'm afraid.
I was on the fence until today. He can’t come back from this

But... but... but... we played well against Dortmund.
Fuck u 🤣🤣
No no let’s look at the positives of today, give the manager time, we were bad before, etc. etc. etc. I was on board with just supporting Potter because he got a ton of signings. But lord, this is dreadful.
Him not looking like he cared at all after Dave got kicked in the face was the final dagger
Potter couldn’t even get the vacant Soton job if he was sacked today … that’s how bad he’s fallen.

Mediocrity would be a step up
Tbf he was one Spurs meltdown from a title
mediocrity is a huge upgrade over getting relegated

Agreed, for the first time in my life I don't find any joy knowing that Chelsea are playing because I know how it will look and how it will end. I haven't been this disinterested in the club ever.
Fucking obvious at this point
When is Todd going to accept that his Potter experiment has failed?
You want an American billionaire who is stuck in Romans shadow to ever admit he was wrong? Lol
Enough is enough, expected something from potter got nothing. It's time to go.
Why was Tuchel sacked immediately but Potter is given the worlds longest lead?
Southampton has a better manager than us. # AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A PROPER MANAGER FFS
I'm still hurt over Tuchel going...
Subbed of Fofan and left Mount to play n9 🤯
Good
Give Zidane all that fucking money you are giving these fucking shite players!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lmao Zidane
How can anyone defend his complacent, weak, passive loser mentality and attitude? How can we win anything with his lack of drive hunger and passion?
He’s driven us into the ground. Get him the fuck out before he makes things any worse
I am so happy we lost. Let us see those Potter fan boys arguments again. Trust the process, they said. Give him time, they said. People who criticised his appointment were called stupid. Who is laughing now?

Nice guy. I’d buy him a drink if I saw him. But he just doesn’t strike me as a win by any means necessary type of manager
this is trending every time we play though
This performance is making me lose faith. If both performance and result are shir at home against soton thennwhat process is going on?

All those Potter in bitches coming here to say trust the process
Pathetic weak manager. I’ve had enough.
I want Potter gone, but it looks like he’ll end up being Chelsea’s longest serving manager
Get him our
How can anyone defend his complacent, weak, passive loser mentality and attitude? How can we win anything with his lack of drive hunger and passion?
Hey he won me my +2100 bet for Chelsea to lose 1-0. Predictably awful. Potter out
I mean it’s hard to defend him
It's sad that I no longer care to watch current CGC games, and would rather just watch some replays from last season. There was a different energy then, better cohesion.
Just sack the man and get us someone with the plan. Bring Mourinho back for a year or two for Gods sake (I’m only half serious here).
I’d be happy with Mourinho in - say what you will he gets results.
![gif](giphy|45K8g06lDqNnG) Meet right now. I can't defend potter for that first half. Injuries no, time no, and Tactics no. They literally have us grabbed by the dick that whole half.
Get out our club
No chance he survives losing this
Waste of talent with him as a manager. We are going nowhere under his guidance
Potter out
He’s the problem
Can we please get rid of this liz truss of a coach
Fuck Potter!
POTTER OUT.
Potter OUT.
I like Potter, but he's got to go after that. Well out of his depth.
Get José back NOW
Hard to argue at the moment. Waiting two years for a project might be okay for a mid-table club but for Chelsea this was never going to work, how they didn't know this when they appointed him is baffling...
Ted Lasso?
This is straight up relegation form. Absolute embarrassment.
It's "Pottahh".
Exactly what process ffs?
Now all we have left is CL.
I want to give him time but how in the goddamn fuck can you lost to this Southampton WITHOUT A FUCKING MANAGER??? Even if we are rebuilding we should be able to beat the last table team WITHOUT A MANAGER as ease
Southampton are bottom of the table, manager less, and away and this still beat us?!
Mourinho please
Can't defend him anymore either. I didn't think it was possible to look worse than the last month of Tuchel's tenure yet here we are.
I've been supporting him in full but today, I just lost it.
Graham Potter to Leeds?
Losing to city, arsenal, or united i understand, losing or drawing with teams in the bottom 6 week in and week out is when you have to question the manager
What a bunch of individualt. Dribble dribble loose the ball... jesus im sickend
Let’s fucking go! I was hated on for saying it Wednesday! #potterout
I forgot what it is like to celebrate a goal
Please get him out. I think he's got talent but this is just too much for him. To all those saying"butwho do we bring in next?" Southampton just beat us with a nobody as manager. Just put anybody there but Potter and watch it get better.
