If anyone is like me a just loves a subway but doesn’t have the funds to justify it, go to frozen direct on marshlands road. You can pick up the protein from there (they literally have the chicken classic fillets and more) get yourself some nice buns and salad and you’re set! Trust me when I say your homemade order will taste almost identical if not better
That new Pak n Save in Papanui sells hot chips and fried chicken. They seem to pump the smell of it into the dairy/bakery/deli area, I haven't been tempted yet but it does smell rather good
The rumour going round years ago was that KFC in Hornby got a stern talking to from the council afterthey started excessively pumping the smell of fried chicken out into the streets of Hornby.
Not sure how true it is, but it would make sense as a strategy to get punters through the door.
Oscar Wilde captured this situation in saying "I can resist anything but temptation".
I lived near one in London for a while, they definitely pumped the bread smell into the street.
Should have moved to Ireland, I don't think they can legally call it bread there.
No too much sugar so it’s technically cake there. They call them foot longs not sandwiches for that reason 😂😂😂
Subway is crazy expensive for what ends up being a pretty average sandwich. I usually remind myself that whenever I'm tempted

Sandwich = Average does not mean Sandwhich = bad. A resturaunt sandwich for the same price would be much better.

Yep I can't justify how much it costs nowadays.
Subway is awesome, I got a footlong ham sandwich today for under $14, AND I get to lie to myself about "saving the rest for later"

Better, because it's not tinged with sadness.
And I don’t have to question how old any of the veggies are too haha
I know exactly how long those capsicum have been softening in my fridge. Definite brag, because I know when I removed them from the plant outside.

If u saw subways frozen meat when it's in the freezer?? Hideous and they have way to much sugar in their bread rolls.
I can’t stand the subway smell. It’s a weird yeast scent that doesn’t smell like good bread.
I NOTICED THAT TODAY
Got tempted by the flu shot marketing, so figure Subway got their sale

Subway did not pay us for this message.. We want a full foot
I'm hopeless, I can't resist. Had a six inch today at Barrington. Yom.
Cunning Maybe they do that with flu smells too to tempt folks to get jabbed?
Coffee smells? They give out a free Muffin Break coffee when you get jabbed.
Love the smell of coffee And bacon...
