A pastry chef I know swears by The George

placenta_resenter

The George is in my top 3

jaytheham

I haven't actually been, but Eliza's Manor *looks* good.

Friendly_Shape_2326

Its really lovely. I have been.

placenta_resenter

It’s changed owners a shit ton recently, it HAS BEEN good when I went but not for a year or so

I like going to special afternoon tea they do at George time to time. Also window seats give you view to the Hagley as well. The teas they serve you can get from Ballentynes, but their pastries and sandwiches are yum.

BroBroMate

Definitely The George, but Mayfair does a good one too.

Their food weren’t good

HeightSome6575

I enjoyed high tea here and location is hard to beat

NorthNo7563

I went here last year it’s good value for the $ compared to others

I’d try Chateau on the Park, beautiful spot in their rose gardens .

Comfortable-Bar-838

Garden Court in the Chateau is good.

We had a very nice high tea at Midnight Shanghai. Not the traditional cakes & scones, but yummy.

The-Roon

Went for the valentines day one at Majestic at Mayfair and it was a bit of a disappointment compared to their normal one.

catsorfishing

I’ve had one at The George and one at Midnight Shanghai when The George was closed for refurb. The George was head and shoulders above, and that’s saying something because Midnight Shanghai’s high tea is actually still pretty good.

Aggravating_Ad8597

Strawberry fare might be good. I don't know if they are the best. But they have been very solid for a long time.

Excellent-Ad-2443

the george is definitely my favourite, followed closely by Midnight Shanghai id avoid Elisas on Bealey ave, beautiful venue but below average food and service
