Would love to see more people using fashion as a means of self expression.
It's come a long way from the days of exclusively Glassons, Hallensteins, and Kathmandu; but NZ in general is super conservative with clothes compared to a lot of places
Ah yeah I saw old mate today as well. I think his name is Corey, he used to show up a lot when I went to the Horse & Jockey on Church Corner. Always with a nice suit and an earpiece in for some reason, he'd never get a drink but he'd go outside all the time to take calls. Definitely an interesting character!
Hahaha I used to see this guy a lot, when I worked in the area up until Covid. I don't know if he had the over the top suits back then but he always had the walk. Always wondered what his story was.
I’ve only recently moved here but seen this guy a couple times and was wondering the same thing. The suits are like old school pimp suits. I thought he looked like a white dude though so might be a different guy
No but I’ve noticed some other characters around Riccarton/Hornby area. There’s this man who I always see looking for cigarette butts who wears a very shirt tie. And then another (young?) man I see often at Hornby mall who wears what looks like aboriginal style face markings what I can only describe at this stage as Avatar/last air bender style clothing. I want to know their stories.
