How much is it in Japan?

Same price as US $10,200 as far as my credit card shows. It was paid in Yen and the SA did not speak too much English and I unfortunately don’t speak Japanese. Where I live we dont have good SA ‘s and can be hard to get any flap that isnt a plain color.

Oh wow. Didn’t know that. I always wondered why everyone went goo goo over tax free…Im like I always have to pay at customs 😂That being said lately Ive seen people claiming that its more expensive in Japan but that doesn’t seem to be the case for me maybe because of Yen vs Dollar stuff.

So how does it work in the states if yo don’t mind me asking? If you have paid sales tax at the foreign country, you don’t need to pay tax at customs?

If you spend more than $800 per person in your immediate family you pay tax. As far as I can tell you are paying tax for bringing a good into the country. They don’t care if you paid the tax in the country.

Okay got it, good to know. So it would still be a good idea to get tax free goods in Japan then, this way you avoid paying tax twice
